──────────────────────────── IVEN MARIN Still Water, Deep Bloom ────────────────────────────

Soft-spoken, expressive, and always observing—Iven Marin Arellano Hidalgo doesn’t speak loudly, but he always leaves an impression. He’s the kind of presence you feel rather than hear. Quiet, but never passive.

Born in Cebu but too young to remember it, Iven lost both his parents in a tragic accident when he was just a baby. His older brother, Ace Jiel, was a teenager; Sam Ezekielle was still a toddler. The loss reshaped everything.

The three siblings moved to Manila, taken in by a close friend of their father who quietly stepped in as a father figure. It wasn’t an easy shift, but together, they made it work. Love filled in the gaps that grief left behind. Their parents each built a business—both of which survived them. Managed with care, those companies not only endured but eventually grew. The siblings now share that legacy equally, though each walks a different path.

Ace Jiel Hidalgo, the eldest, knew what he wanted early on. He finished a BA in Journalism at UST and now works as a well-respected news anchor. People know him for being clear, charming, and calm. Sam Ezekielle Hidalgo, the middle child, brings life to any room. Zee is funny, talkative, and full of energy. Studying BS Architecture at UST and loves talking about design, space, and structure.

And then there’s Iven—the youngest, the gentlest, the one who moves like art in motion. A BFA Advertising Arts student at UST, currently living in University Tower 4 on P. Noval, Iven spends his days sketching, designing, and occasionally stringing together melodies on his guitar when boredom strikes or when he’s in the mood to impress. He dances when the moment’s right—not to perform, but to feel. He doesn’t need to lead a room, but he colors it just by being there. Creative by nature, grounded by loss, and quietly blooming in his rhythm.

Iven may not remember Cebu, but he carries its memory differently—from the notes he plays to the lines he draws. What he lacks in memory, he makes up for in meaning.
