dns.mitm
Set Up dns.mitm
dns.mitm provides a mechanism for redirecting DNS resolution requests. By default, Atmosphere redirects resolution requests for official telemetry servers, redirecting them to a loopback address.
Download the correct .txt
file for the set up you have from the links below:
emuMMC users Here.
sysMMC users Here.
Place the emummc.txt
or sysmmc.txt
file into: /atmosphere/hosts/
(if the hosts
folder doesn’t exist - create one yourself) on your microSD card and leave the existing deafult.txt
alone.
If you haven't got exosphere.ini
active, add it to your microSD card root now, so should you do something in error you will still be protected.
Run Switch 90dns Tester from the homebrew menu (our CFW Packs include this but if you don't have it you can grab it Here and place the Switch_90DNS_tester.nro
file into the switch
folder on your microSD card.
You do not need to be connected to the internet for this to work. All servers will show as blocked, meaning your Switch can not communicate with Nintendo. Bare in mind this is not a 100% ban protection as you will need to add this for each new release of atmosphere and if Nintendo add or change their server settings you will have to update the .txt file to suit.
