COLOR IDEAS FOR BATHROOMS: INSPIRATION FOR INTERIOR DESIGN
Choosing a bathroom colour scheme is a difficult task because there are far too many options to consider. So, unless you have an inner 'artist,' picking colours that truly complement each other is unlikely without a little help. Follow our simple bathroom colour ideas guide for inspiration to design the perfect bathroom space for you.
The winter/festive season has undoubtedly inspired us here at Bella Bathrooms. However, this does not imply that you should paint your bathroom Santa Claus red or your Christmas tree green. Don't freak out. When we think of winter, many colours and hues come to mind. For example, muted greys, browns, and creams represent a forest, icy blues and whites represent frosty mornings, and candy blues, pinks, and purples represent candy canes.
When it comes to colour schemes, think outside the box. What is your favourite part of the holiday season? Is it the frosty mornings, the bright blue skies, the peaceful forests, or the sweet treats we enjoy at this time of year? This will help to spark your creativity and ensure that you create a colour scheme that you adore.
BATHROOM COLOR IDEAS: We've included some of our favourite winter-inspired colour schemes in the slideshow above, and we're sure you'll agree! Check out our bathroom tiles for more colour inspiration and bathroom design ideas.
Before deciding on a new design scheme for your bathroom, it's a good idea to do some research on colour combinations. This will prevent you from having a room full of clashing colours or uncomplimentary tones. We looked into this year's top interior design colours to come up with some colour combinations to create a harmonious home and a relaxing bathroom environment, so keep reading to learn more.
RAK Reserva PUTTY AND MOSS BATHROOM COLOR SCHEME
These two of the most natural colours in the colour spectrum complement each other beautifully and create a relaxing spa-like atmosphere in the bathroom. These complementary colours bring the outside in by combining shades that are commonly found together in the garden, and as such, they look great with natural materials such as wood, wicker, and stone. Moss and putty are a classy combination that is frequently found in heritage properties, making a decor appear more expensive and furniture more substantial. These neutral shades are ideal if you don't want to make a big colour statement in the bathroom but want something more impressive than standard magnolia.
PINK AND BLUE MARSALA
Because Pantone's Color of the Year was the warm dusky burgundy shade 'Marsala,' we looked into other colours that would go well with this popular purple so you could use it in your decorating projects this year. Pastel pink and baby blue are great colour combinations because they allow Marsala to stand out without clashing or looking out of place. These complementary colours add brightness to any room and reflect light, preventing the deep dark warm tones of Marsala from becoming oppressive. Alternatively, navy blue is another great combination for Marsala because it is equally rich, and the two colours together will result in a room that feels cosy, calming, and welcoming.
GREY AND MUSTARD
Grey is still a popular colour in interior design, and incorporating mustard into a colour scheme brings it right up to date. The colour scheme is strong and masculine, and the contrast of cold and warm tones creates a cosy, comfortable atmosphere. If you've already gone with popular grey in previous years, simply painting one wall in a mustard yellow shade will make the room warmer and is a low-cost way to redesign your bathroom without undergoing a complete redecoration. This feature wall can also be used to create a focal point in your bathroom, such as a stunning bath or grand basin. This colour combination occurs in nature as well - think sandy.
