Option 2:

To disable the Protected Cartridge feature on Wi-Fi connected printers, obtain the IP address from the printer’s control panel -
• At your printer’s display, Tap the network icon or button to view the IP settings and record the 9 or 10 digit number shown (For example 192.168.1.15).
• Open a web browser such as Explorer, Chrome or Firefox, in the search bar at top of page type in the 9 digit address with decimals.
• Since this is a locally connected printer, you need to ignore Non-Secure HTTP or Not Private Connection warning messages by selecting ‘advanced’ at bottom of page.
• The embedded web server page will get open.
• Select Tools then Cartridge Settings, here you can check the Cartridge Protection state. If ON, go ahead and select ‘OFF’.
• After a few minutes you may close the internet browser, all changes will be automatically saved.
