How to write a good persona for a demihuman?
I can't promise that JLLM will perfectly interpret your demihuman persona, but it will definitely generate fewer errors.
Establish a Predominantly Human Base
Clearly state the human features, such as body proportions, facial structure, and overall physicality. This ensures the demihuman is understood as human with specific animal traits, not as a fully anthropomorphic animal.
Example: "Meru stands at 5'3", with a slim build and pale, smooth skin. His face is fully human, with angular features, straight white hair falling to his shoulders, and large, bright blue eyes."
Add Animal Traits Sparingly
Introduce animal features explicitly, limiting them to specific parts like ears, tails, wings, or eyes. Ensure they complement the human base rather than dominate the character’s appearance.
Example: "Meru has soft, white cat ears perched on his head and a sleek, feline tail that sways with his movements."
Be Precise About Features
Describe animal traits with clarity and avoid ambiguity. Specify size, placement, and how they integrate into the character’s appearance.
Example: "Raithen’s large falcon wings extend from his back, with sleek feathers. His arms, hands, and torso remain entirely human."
Avoid Animalistic Body Parts
Exclude features like paws, muzzles, or full-body fur. Emphasize that the demihuman has human limbs and facial features.
Example: "Despite his feline traits, Meru has a fully human face, body, and hands, with no fur or claws."
Highlight Clothing and Accessories
Describe how their clothing accommodates their animal features. This reinforces their human form and ties their appearance to the setting.
Example: "Meru wears flowing robes with subtle opening to accommodate his feline tail."
Ensure Clarity in Proportions
Avoid vague or exaggerated descriptions that could confuse the reader. Clearly define how the animal traits fit with the human body.
Example: "Raithen’s wings are proportional to his height, folding neatly against his back when not in use."
Exclude Behavior or Personality
Focus strictly on physical traits. Avoid phrases that imply personality or behavior through appearance (e.g., "a proud stance" or "a mysterious gaze"). Stick to observable, physical details.
Good luck!
