FAQ

What is Eversoul?

A comfy anime-styled harem gacha developed by Nine Ark and published by Kakao Games (for now) with a fantasy and light sci-fi theme. Passively it's an idle RPG that demands very little daily time investment, with everything being sweepable in around 10-15 minutes every day once you cleared it once. Active gameplay consists largely of 5v5 autobattles with a variety of game modes surrounding that concept and good depth to characters and team building aspects. Story and VN presentation is done through full 3D models, with chibi variants for some game modes and voiced segments in Korean and partial Japanese.

What are the characters like?

It's a harem gacha with a self insert male MC where almost all the girls are for (you). There are currently 84 Souls with a good variety in character designs, personalities and archetypes, including angels, demons, cute kemonos with ears and tails and even filthy elves. Character bond stories and events feature multiple Live2D illustrations and get you alternate costumes for free! Story and previous events are available right away so you're not missing any character development. You can also touch their boobs in the menus if you want.

Sex with all the Souls! [🡱]

Is this game F2P friendly?

Extremely. The premium currency income is pretty high for free players, there are many pulls given through tickets and the gacha rates are generous. If you only care about your waifu collection, you can always get at least a copy of the newest unit for cheap, either through tickets or the banner pity. A few units are farmable with ingame currency, and the frequent events give you at least one copy of each unit associated with them. This IS, however, a dupe-based game with a sync system. This means the number of dupes you need to ascend units is high but you only need a handful of well invested units for a functional roster and you'll be able to ascend most of them passively over time thanks to the high rates. There are currently only three semi-limited Chaotic units and two limited Date A Live collab units which are unlikely to return.

Leaderboard and PVP-based rewards have a pretty flat curve outside of the top of leaderboards and you don't need to tryhard to get good rewards out of them. You can focus on meta teams but you won't brick yourself by dickpulling or investing into your favorite units and since it's an idle game you won't have a chance to be competitive against day 1 or whale players anyway. Events can get you a few more rewards with higher difficulty clears but you'll be able to get everything important from them even as a newcutie.

The Gacha Mechanics section has some more stats about rates.

Am I too late to start?

Absolutely not. Aside from the semi-limited Chaotic units which get rerun rarely, you can get everyone else fairly easily and your progression is primarily limited by idle income in the long run so the earlier you start playing the better. The 1.5th Anniversary added the "Power Up!" catch-up series of tasks for newbies which makes it far easier to progress early on and a recent update will now give you many Souls for free in the first few weeks of play. The two collab units are most likely gone forever, but their account impact is negligible.

🌟Getting Started🌟

Where do I get the game?

Global/Asia: Play Store | App Store
JP: Play Store | App Store
Emulators: Google Play Games | Bluestacks | LDPlayer | MEmu | Nox | MuMu

There is no PC client so you'll have to cope with emulation. In my experience, GPG is stable, very fast and comes with built-in hotkeys for the game but it lacks both features and bloat of other emulators. It has an issue with texture scaling that will make certain UI graphics look slightly blurry or compressed, it will force install itself on your C: drive and it's locked to one Gmail account. I've had no issues with LDPlayer either, but performance is slightly worse there. Emulation is going to be highly dependent on your computer's hardware and other factors so one of the other emulators might run better for you. I cannot vouch for any of the other ones and only added them for reference.

Which server should I choose?

Game client is split into NA/EU and Asia regions as well as a Korea region which is region locked. Most people here play on the NA/EU region and we have two NA/EU guilds: Jammies and Pits.
JP server is on a different client with a delayed release schedule and a few QoL improvements ported ahead of time from Global.

🌟Help, I can't read🌟

Here's most of this info spoonfed to you in image form, you baby.
There's also This Youtube playlist as well which covers some of the aspects also present in this document.

🌟Rerolling🌟

It's worth noting that the game is pretty casual and the main power scaling comes from idle gains so while you CAN reroll to try to get your favorite or a specific meta unit, the individual odds are very low so it's not worth investing too much time doing it. If you're a cosmic whale or wanna be a PVP metafag then your priorities will be different and I won't cover those here.

Built-in reroll

The game offers two built-in mechanics to pick starter units:

  • Infinite Banner Reroll: This happens immediately after the tutorial story dungeon and allows you to repeat a 10-pull until you're satisfied with the (single) Epic (SSR) unit you get, excluding Angels/Demons/Chaotic (functionally UR) units. Don't skip it by accident. This contains all released Epics which means your chances to get a specific unit are low but it gives you a lot of freedom if you have a favorite. Since we get a lot of good units for free with the New Savior Attendance Pass, the best choice here a copy of one of the newer units which work at low ascension. Beleth, Wheri, Onyx and lastly Lilith are good supports and the best value for your effort on this banner. Dominique, Sigrid or Hazel are a start towards carries for later content. Daphne is a solid choice to help you progress faster without burning a newbie selector chest on her or waiting for the free pass copy. An extra copy of your carry of choice is an option if you can't be arsed to reroll more. None of this is very impactful in the long run so don't waste hours on it.

Beleth offers a mix of buffs and decently strong healing when she's not busy killing herself by teleporting to frontline units. Wheri has two modes depending on whether you're using another support already, which makes her more versatile in multiple situations. Her buffs and heals lean into the defensive side of things. Onyx has some disgustingly powerful buffs conditioned by the lack of A/D/C units, which you'll most likely run in your main team. She's excellent once you start tackling multi team content however. Lilith is more of a debuffer and sub-DPS so consider it a niche pick that has room to grow later.

  • New Pick-Up Soul: Hanul is the newest shiny toy in the roster, and although she performs very well overall, she requires a lot of investment and supporting units to make her shine as a carry, otherwise she's more of a disruptor. She lacks the numbers advantage of some of the other recent carries so if you really want her as a newbie I'd suggest picking one of the pick-up Souls, rerolling until you get a lot of copies of them early then just dumping your remaining gems into Hanul's banner. Remember that Yuria and Linzy (Thanatos) are rerunning in May so you might want to skip Hanul entirely and save your gems for those. If you go for Hanul anyway, then Wheri is probably the best choice on the Infinite Reroll.
  • Pick-Up Choice Summon (S2): This unlocks in your event list after clearing one stage, and lets you pick one Soul to roll for within the next two weeks. There are a lot of free gems when starting out, so doing up to 300 rolls or until you get 8 copies of your choice should be fairly effortless. You can delay your choice for several days to start the countdown later if there's a meta carry banner ongoing. The easiest Souls to use from here are Aki, and Edith, followed by Otoha. There are other alternatives below, if uncertain, ask around before committing to it.

Aki is the standard recommendation here. Once she's level 201 and unlocks her full combo potential, she can kill up to 3 enemies in quick succession. Her endgame usage is limited and she's crit-reliant, which makes early game and certain enemy teams rough to deal with. Edith is a little more straightforward, she relies on a plethora of self-buffs and to bulldoze through the enemy team. She requires buff stacks to activate her enhanced skills but that's pretty easy to get nowadays. Otoha is a powerhouse the more you invest into her. She gets a unique buff after killing a target which allows her to steamroll the enemy team and she can instakill low health targets which allows you to counter enemy Daphne teams. Ultimately all three are valid and perform similarly well so roll with your heart.

[🡱]

Rerolling strategy

Ideally:

  • Reasonable reroll: Log in with a Guest account. Pick one of the mentioned Souls from the Infinite Reroll and your carry from the Choice Summon. Try to get four or five copies of your carry from your initial Hall of Fame gems and freebies, otherwise reroll and try again, it'll be fairly fast and ensures you'll have enough copies of your carry for a smooth midgame.

Alternatively:

  • Maximum mald: Do the above but hope you get some Angel or Demon in the process (keep in mind that the odds of getting them is very low so expect to be here for a very, very, very long time) or an unusually high number of copies of your carry or other meta Souls. Reroll until satisfied. It's a particularly attractive option if there's a high profile ongoing banner and you want to roll on both that and the Pick-Up Choice banner.
  • Serene start: Pick whoever makes your dick hard from the Infinite Reroll, this is your best chance to guarantee someone you like the design of early. Get Aki or Edith from the Choice Summon and try to get eight copies of her from the banner but if you come up short, the newcutie selectors and attendance pass can cover the deficit.

Don't be a retard. Make sure you bind your guest account from the Settings menu.

If you don't like the main carry alternatives, you can also try Honglan. She offers potent AoE abilities as well as slowing the enemy team, however her versatility is considerably lower than the other options. Velanna, Eileen and even Talia can perform as carries, but they require a lot more investment, patience or specific team comps to be comparable so your early game progression will be noticeably impacted.

Free units!

  • The New Savior Attendance Pass unlocks after BF2-1 and will get you all these Souls below. The ones marked with a 🌟 are especially good for newcuties and work at one copy. The souls marked with a 💙 will make your banner rolling more reliable if you picked one of them as a carry; If you spend about $7 on it, you can get a second copy of all the Souls here, which is crazy value-wise.
Day 1/11 Day 2/12 Day 3/13 Day 4/14 Day 5/15 Day 6/16 Day 7/17 Day 8/18 Day 9/19 Day 10/20
Jiho Velanna Honglan🌟💙 Erika Aki💙 Lizelotte Garnet Manon Xiaolian Claudia
Naomi Daphne🌟 Melfice Bryce Lute Yuria🌟 Eileen Edith💙 Otoha💙 Eve🌟
  • Early Battlefront clears and Boot Camp rewards will get you two copies of Linzy and one of Mephistopheles, Chloe, Clara, Seeha and Rebecca;
  • If you purchase anything, even the $1 pack, you'll also get a copy of Talia;
  • Power-Up! tasks will get you an Origin copy of Mephistopheles, four Epic Soul Selector Tickets, and two Legendary+ fodder boxes so you can round out your roster how you like.

[🡱]

🌟What should I focus on after starting? (tl;dr)🌟

  • Collect all your newfag rewards and Hall of Fame gems, they add up to around 170ish pulls;
  • Get your carry banner to 300 mileage or Origin. If you're lucky you can stop rolling early and save your gems if the next milestone is too far;
  • Your midgame goal is to get any five units to Origin ascension so you can get past the sync wall;
  • Your secondary goal is focusing on an extra carry or tank for the midgame, otherwise you have a good chance of getting walled by multi-team content, teams that counter your main Souls or game modes that restrict who you can use;
  • Do your dailies/weeklies. Focus on Boot Camp, Recommended Tasks and Power-Up! Event tasks early on;
  • Collect all the Souls in the New Savior Attendance Pass. You have some of the best and most useful Souls in the game there;
  • Buy one of the universal Origin ATK Anniversary Keepsake sets in the Antique Shop for a large power boost for your carry. Once you're done with the starter banners and have gems to toss, you can buy the other two sets as well. They'll always be useful;
  • Save your extra Power Up! selectors to help you reach five Origin units unless you need a specific one right away (like Daphne if you skipped her on Infinite Reroll and don't want to wait for the Newbie Pass to progress); You can also save your Keepsake selectors for later to fill in gaps in your sets;
  • Push Battlefront to unlock all the features, early freebies and get your idle income up. Try to add some high level friends since you can use friend hires to progress faster if a stage walls you. Don't sleep on this, it's very important!
  • Focus primarily on leveling your carry past everyone else. Getting her to level 201 is a massive boost for her skillset, and level 251 represents the last small power surge after which stat gains are linear;
  • Pick Resources on the Soul Pass (the left one, dummy) every time;
  • Side content like Tower of Origin and Faction Gates are excellent sources of extra gems so push those as much as possible to finish your banner rolls early and get more Souls from things like shards;
  • If there's an ongoing event, try to clear as much of it as possible. If there's a strong unit in the current event pass you can buy levels for it with gems if you can't finish it on time. It's only 4000 gems to max it out from scratch;
  • Save your gems for your waifu or upcoming Angel/Demon/Chaotic banners if you care about meta. We get roadmaps periodically so we have an idea of what's coming up;
  • Don't ignore warnings when ascending or you'll brick yourself;
  • You can get an extra universal Origin SPD keepsake for free from the Eden's Doomsday April Fools Event story; The idol story will get you a few outfits too;
  • Try to top the PVP leaderboard early on with your progression and knowledge advantage for a good amount of extra gems;
  • Invest in resource Zodiacs first (active Mana Crystal boon) and set up a combat preset later;
  • RTFM. There are guides on every page ingame explaining the basics of each mechanic.
  • As soon as a unit is released, they're added to the general pool, so you can get the current banner unit from Friendship and Normal summons if you're a luckshitter but early on you'll just want to spend those immediately to build your roster.
  • Reset is at 00:00 UTC daily. Maintenance usually happens 10 minutes earlier on Wednesdays;

Game Mechanics

Gacha
Everstones

The premium currency of the game is called Everstones and it's a reward for many milestones reached primarily by just doing all the daily activities available to you, progressing in Battlefront, Gates and Towers of Origin as well as participating in the periodic events. A notable amount is tied to the highest leaderboard rankings but it's not worth fussing over unless you get an easy PVP bracket or something similar where you can reliably get and hold the top spots. There's a small distinction between paid and free Everstones, but outside of a single starter banner it doesn't really matter and, as of right now, a F2P can casually earn around 160 to 180 gem pulls per month on average without trying very hard.

[🡱]

Tickets and banners

Pick-Up Summon: This uses premium currency and works on a mileage system that gives progressive rewards. These milestones do not carry over to other Pick-Up banners. You will get 30 golden Pick-Up Summon Tickets as mileage rewards, so you only need 270 pulls to reach complete mileage. It's worth noting that doing single pulls on Pick-Up banners costs more than 10-pulls (2400 vs 2100) so always do the latter. Only ever spend your Everstones on these banners and don't bother unless you can roll up to 300, it gives the best value by far towards progressing your account and minimizing RNG reliance.

Current Pick-Up Soul

Mileage Reward
40 10 Pick-Up Summon Tickets
80 1 copy of the banner unit
120 100 Artifact shards for the banner unit
160 20 Pick-Up Summon Tickets
200 1 copy of the banner unit
250 30 Rare fodder of the banner unit's race (or 1 copy of the unit on Angel/Demon/Chaotic banners)
300 2 copies of the banner unit
X00+ 1 copy of the banner unit every 100 pulls after that

You will need 8 copies to ascend a normal unit to Origin, and 14 to Origin an Angel/Demon/Chaotic unit. The stat difference between Origin and Origin+5 is around 20% in each stat so it's fairly negligible between individual ascensions but adds up over time. If you're cheap I'd recommend focusing on Angel/Demon/Chaotic banners, and only rolling to 300 mileage or Origin on their banner, getting them to Origin+5 on a rerun if you use them a lot. Or you can roll with your dick and +5 your waifu as soon as she's released since newer Souls get an extra costume recolor for it.

Erika's Alchemy: This banner unlocks at Battlefront 10-20 and uses the purple Erika tickets and can get you ANY soul with a 70 pull pity at 2% chance. It's primarily for whales but you can get some free tickets over time from the login track, some events, Battlefront challenge mode or Operation Eden Alliance. With Yuria and Eve free now, there's no immediate priority for these tickets so you can save them until you have a better idea of who you want to focus on, or who you're missing single copies of. This is the only way to get Chaotic units outside of a rerun.

Normal Summon: This banner uses blue Normal Summon Tickets. It can get you any Soul except for Chaotic Souls, with Angels and Demons on a much lower individual rate. You frequently get a lot of blue tickets as well as one free pull per day and there's no reason to hoard them, especially before the 5 Origin wall. This banner has a 30 pull pity mechanic which makes the rates slightly better for random Souls.

Type Summon: This banner uses the green Type Summon Tickets and rotates between the basic four factions every day. Humanlikes and Fairies tend to have slightly stronger rosters if you want to chase those but it's primarily a good way to get Rare fodder for a faction you need, especially since the banner has no pity mechanic and the tickets aren't that common outside of one-time rewards.

Targeted Summon: This banner only uses the orange Targeted Summon Tickets you can get from the Hall of Memories game mode and it functions like a wishlist banner where you can select five Epics, one Angel/Demon and one optional Rare Soul which will be the only ones showing up in the pulls. This banner also has a 30 pull pity mechanic like the Normal summon one. You can only add new Souls to the wishlist six weeks after their debut, after their Soul Pass ends. You can use them to break the 5 Origin wall easier, to finish up Souls that are close to Origin or to just get more copies of meta units. Some good choices for the special slot include Larimar, or more copies of Yuria or Eve. For Epic slots, Beleth, Lilith, Hazel, Onyx, Dominique, Wheri, Sigrid, Garnet or more copies of your carry of choice can be good picks.

Friendship Summon: This banner uses hearts you get by exchanging them with friends or doing Town Expeditions and it functions like the Normal Summon banner but without the pity. You'll get a lot of friendship points if you fill your friends list with active players and sweep your guildies so it's practically free units!

Artifact Summon This banner uses the red Artifact Tickets and it gets you artifact shards. Unlike other gachas' weapon banners, getting all the artifacts is trivial and leveling them is just a matter of time and prioritization even for F2P players. You can get a steady trickle of these tickets through various dailies, events or even Soul outings. The Artifact Summon also has a wishlist feature that allows you to greatly increase the chance to get shards for three of your choices. You can read more about artifacts here.
[🡱]

Mileage, rates and numbers
  • Epic rate is 4% on all banners except Erika, up to ~5.6% on the Normal Summon by including pity. Commons take up 50% of the pool and Rares the remaining 46%.
  • Angel/Demon/Chaotic units have 1/5 the individual probability within that (roughly 0.009% vs 0.044% for regular Epics).
  • Erika's Alchemy has a 2% rate for the selected unit regardless of type;
  • For the Targeted Summon, the 4% rate is split between 3.85% for Epics and 0.15% for the Angel/Demon Soul you selected.
  • Pick-Up banners improve individual probability of the banner unit to 1.6% regardless of faction leaving 2.4% for the other Epics;
  • For a regular Epic Soul you need eight copies for Origin. Angel/Demon/Chaotic Souls will need 14 copies for Origin, but this is offset by the three extra copies of Chaotic Souls you can buy in the shop. That translates to the probability table and chart below:
Pulls (incl. mileage) Mileage (A/D/C) Origin % Chaotic Origin % A/D Origin % Everstones
200 (170) 2 (2) ~10.3% ~0.52% ~0.01% 35,700
300 (270) 4 (5) ~70% ~34.8% ~5.4% 56,700
400 (370) 5 (6) ~95.4% ~76.7% ~31.1% 77,700
500 (470) 6 (7) ~99.7% ~95.8% ~68.8% 98,700
700 (670) 8 (9) 100% ~99.9% ~98.7% 140,700
900 (870) 10 (11) 100% 100% ~99.9% 182,700
1200 (1170) 13 (14) 100% 100% 100% 245,700

This chart includes the three shop copies for the Chaotic Souls, which makes them easier to raise

Cash Shop

Are you really just going to sit there and let her starve?

The New Savior Attendance Pass you get when starting out gives you an extra 10 Souls for around $7. Fantastic value even just for the Angel and Demon Souls on it, and it can also hasten your dupe progression. The $1 Starter Pack has good value, plus buying it (or anything else) for the first time gets you a copy of Talia. After that the Achievement Packs give a ton of raw gems for clearing Battlefront stages and Evil Soul Subjugation levels once you're further in the game. Some of the periodic limited packs have good value but that will vary on a case by case basis. If you're a big whale, the part time job buildings that give Mana Crystals (the 3000 paid gem ones) are worth getting too.

As for repeatable things you can buy, the highest value will be the monthly subs. Both give high gem value per dollar, and add a few extra abilities that can be helpful, like the free Daily Shop reset, the extra Town Expedition, the free Quick Hunt, and the free Soul level reset.
Then I would recommend the gold ticket for the current event. It gives a bunch of gems, Pick-up tickets, normal tickets, Epic Soul Memories, progression materials, a decor building, and a stat building for one of the event characters. Depending on your progression and focus, the periodic Relay packs can be worthwhile as well.

At this point, the value of spending starts to drop significantly. The gold ticket for the soul pass can give a lot of progression materials but not a ton of gems. The pick-up packs for the current banner have a decent value too. I would only recommend the event packs if its the last day of an event and you're on the cusp of pulling one of the high value event rewards, like the 40x Artifact tickets. The regular packs, pop-up offers and raw Everstones are usually just whale bait, don't buy those.

[🡱]

Souls and progression

Keep in mind that your midgame goal is to get ANY 5 units to Origin Ascension for the sync system in order to progress in the lategame.

Souls

Love your Souls, even the knife-ears

Your Souls are divided into factions: Humanlikes, Fairies, Beasts and Undead are the standard ones, Angels, Demons and Chaotic units are harder to get and generally more impactful, while also requiring more dupes to ascend. All units have a characteristic dividing them into STR, DEX and INT which restricts their Keepsake choices and less importantly a class that generally signifies what they do and can be a factor in some challenges: Defender, Warrior, Ranger, Striker, Caster, Supporter.

The only three semi-limited units at this time are all Chaotic and represent alternate versions of an existing characters: Catherine (Radiance), Linzy (Thanatos) and Mephistopheles (Dawn). Although you can get Angels/Demons rarely off-banner, the only way to get either of them until an eventual rerun is by using Erika's Alchemy.

[🡱]

Who are the best Souls?

Whoever makes your heart flutter. But mostly Beast Souls because they're objectively the cutest.

Actually it's her.

If you're poor or stingy, you want to save your Everstones for Angel/Demon/Chaotic Souls since they tend to be the most impactful and future-proof, but keep in mind that some of them require a lot of copies, artifact investment or specific teams to really shine. Souls' effectiveness will highly depend on your level of investment, ascension and especially the difficulty of content you're tackling so take things like tier lists and opinions with a grain of salt especially if they focus on endgame maximized teams that you won't be able to field until much later. The sync system makes it easy to experiment with units and the game is casual enough that you won't permabrick yourself even if you focus on sub-par units. You can probably make everyone work with enough dedication.

[🡱]

🌟Ascension🌟

Unit and item grades follow this progression: Common < Rare < Epic < Epic+ < Legendary < Legendary+ < Eternal < Eternal+ < Origin < Origin+

In brief, the base Common units are useless and cannot even be ascended but they deserve the most love. Rare units are used as fodder to ascend your Epics and they can be ascended to Legendary+. Epics can be ascended to Origin and then transcended up to Origin+5.

Ascension increases stats and more raises the unit's level cap, with each ascension requiring either copies of the same Soul, or fodder Souls of a particular ascension and the same faction. This means that some supporter Souls can work just fine with a low number of copies whereas melee Souls or high DPS focused Souls usually need the extra stat boosts to survive or do damage appropriately. If you're minmaxxing, the difference between Origin and Origin+5 is around a 20% increase in stats. Angel/Demon/Chaotic units don't use fodder Souls but they need extra copies of themselves to compensate. Refer to the images below for requirements and a full example of upgrading an Epic unit to maximum.

Never use Epics as fodder unless the game specifically asks for it or you'll unironically brick yourself. There's even a big red warning if you try to do it so if you ignore it then you deserve to be laughed at. If in doubt, "Auto-select" is always safe.

If you want to optimize your fodder ascensions slightly, pick only one fodder Soul per faction to ascend and make sure you feed all copies of the other Soul into the one you chose. This is only very slightly impactful to avoid being bottlenecked so use "Recommended" if you don't feel like doing it manually, sometimes it will do it the right way without any manual intervention.

[🡱]

Leveling Souls

Leveling Souls takes Gold and Mana Dust and this increases their stats further. Every 20 levels (21, 41, 61, etc.) you'll need to use some Mana Crystals as well, and this will automatically upgrade one of the unit's skills all the way up to level 201. Past level 201 it takes Mana Crystals in addition to dust and gold for every level henceforth. The final larger stat bump happens at level 251 past which the growth is linear.

The sync system which means you only want to focus on your five highest ascended units and throw everyone else into sync to benefit from the levels and even bypass their low ascension level restriction. Resetting a unit's level takes a tiny amount of gems and gives you back 100% of the resources spent on leveling them so you can't brick yourself that way.

Because of these Sync feature, you'll want to focus on getting any five units to Origin Ascension and level 201, which will unlock the full skill potential of your roster. Rare fodder is going to be a real bottleneck so try to spread your five chosen units between the four main factions to alleviate the lack of fodder Souls. Getting five Origin units isn't that hard thanks to the high rates, the Choice Banner and the Power-Up! tasks which will get you an Origin copy of Mephistopheles, leaving only three units required.

Once you reach level 300, you can also Overclock sync by dumping large quantities of mana crystals for extra levels, this makes Mana Crystal the ultimate bottleneck for long term play because even after you max out every Soul and reach the max sync cap (which is a Mana Crystal bottleneck to begin with) you can still dump further Crystals into that to continue levelling.

If you're going the hypercarry route, you can level her to 201 and get everyone else to 160, then raise them to 251 and 201 respectively over time. Once you reach harder multi team content you might have to reset your carry Soul to distribute her levels to the others for a more even sync. A low ascension Daphne in sync is enough to keep enemies busy while your carry finishes them off and you can temporarily level fodder Souls to Legendary+ for your sync while you wait for enough dupes to get Epic units raised to Origin. This will give you a strong hypercarry and a level 160 cap for your other units without having to worry about wasting fodder Souls since you can just consume them once you get Origin Souls to replace them in sync. This strat will last you all the way until the later Battlefront levels if you use friend hires well.

[🡱]

Artifacts

Artifacts are items important to a Soul's backstory and can be primarily obtained through the Artifact Summon banner. They are specific to each Soul and improve their stats further with a percentage bonus as well as giving them an extra passive upgrade that depends on the Artifact's ascension. Unlike other gacha games with weapon banners, this is more of a guaranteed slow improvement of your characters over time. At Legendary+ and Origin ascension Artifacts get an improved effect that can be significant depending on the unit. Legendary+ is also where optimal investment lies since the higher tiers require significantly more shards to ascend for comparable benefits per ascension.

Ascension Shards Total shards
Epic+ 100 100
Legendary 200 300
Legendary+ 400 700
Eternal 700 1400
Eternal+ 1000 2400
Origin 1500 3900

For starters it's best to just focus on your soulwife, the units you use often or metafaggotry. DPS units naturally benefit more from artifact ascension too because of the stat increases. Ask in the thread if you don't know what to focus later on but make an effort and read through what each artifact skill does, it'll help you understand unit kits better. %silver%Chaotic% unit artifact shards don't show up naturally, so you'll want to prioritize them to raise those units. Some of the newer units tend to have more linear kit gains but they also benefit a lot more from their artifact than others. There's an incomplete artifact priority list here if you want some more info.

Aside from the Artifact Summon banner, you will get 100 shards as mileage when pulling on a Pick-Up banner, as well as 300 for reaching floor 30 in the Tower of Origin if the Soul has a ToO story (This will also increase the Artifact's maximum level by five) Lastly, the shop has 10 random shards of four different artifacts every day. If you have the currency for them, it's a good idea to pick them up and passively level your whole roster that way. Keep these in mind if you plan on pulling until Legendary+ so you don't accidentally overshoot the mark.
This is the number of tickets you can expect to use to raise a single artifact to the two important milestones

[🡱]

Keepsakes

Keepsakes represent item sets restricted by characteristic (STR, DEX, INT) which offer stat boosts and later on set bonuses. This is the gear equivalent of other gachas but it's thankfully not a system where you need to reroll stats or something autistic like that. Each Soul has four slots for specific artifacts (Clock, Key, Music Box and Mirror) and they provide a mixture of flat stat bonuses, percentage stat bonuses and sometimes a random set bonus.

The flat portion of stats on a keepsake scales with their level which you can enhance using Gold and Keepsake Enhance Stones or other Keepsakes however that's mostly a waste of Gold until endgame. The percentage stats on them scale with the ascension of the set but only Eternal+ Keepsakes can be ascended manually up to Origin+1 Lastly, the set bonus comes in either 2 or 4 parts that are additive with each other and you can mix and match which Keepsakes have which bonuses when building your units regardless of individual ascension level. It's common to swap those sets around to different Souls depending on the content you're doing so take good advantage of the Keepsake preset features when equipping them, even if the UI for those is kind of stupid.

The Information Source spreadsheet linked at the bottom of this page has Keepsake set suggestions for different situations but in general you'll benefit the most from a lot of INT Speed sets (to speed up mana generation on most caster and supporting units, also a good set for some STR/DEX units) and some DEX Crit Damage sets (preferably higher ascension keepsakes for DPS reasons, also good on some STR/INT units). Other notable sets include STR Evasion sets for tanks since they can provide up to 20-30% dodge, a DEX Evasion set for Linzy and one or two STR HP sets for some raids where the boss targets the highest HP units. Remember that the Antique shop has some very good and cheap to raise Origin keepsake sets.

You obtain Keepsakes primarily through idle loot which scales as you get further into the game, but you can also buy some sets from the Raid shop, a few full sets from Challenge mode stages and a few occasional other sources. The important Battlefront milestones are BF16-17 for Eternal+ Keepsake drops, BF20-2 for Origin Keepsake molds and BF25-1 for Origin+1 Keepsake molds so try to aim for one of these ASAP if you plan to slack, ideally 25-1.

Keepsake sets are VERY expensive to raise, so only ever do it to Eternal+ sets you plan to ascend to Origin or Origin+1. The stats are nice but it's a huge gold sink so make sure you don't gimp your progression doing it and if you want to optimize slightly you can upgrade the first two pieces for carries further than the other two since they have more offensive stats.

[🡱]

Potentials

Potentials are a newer mechanic that boils down to min-maxxing stat boosts on your Souls randomly, perfect if you like extra gambling in your gambling game. Although not hugely impactful, there's little barrier to entry so you can roll some stats on your favorites early. There are four categories with three slots each. One is unlocked by default, the second when their Artifact reaches Legendary grade, third when you get to Bond 5 with the Soul and the last when you take the Soul to Origin+5 ascension.

You can reroll either the bonuses or the values for 1000 Iridescent Crystals, as well as lock a stat but that will increase the cost by 1000 crystals per reroll. You get those crystals from smashing the weekly pussy in the Iridescent Scenic Instance and then sending your Souls to toil in the mines for profit.

As for the bonuses themselves, you can find a full list of odds and max values here. The game will give you a general indication of how good a roll is based on its color but here's some extra condensed info:

  • All stats have the same odds of rolling;
  • Stat values lean towards a mid value roll;
  • You can't stack the same type of stats in one category, such as ATK% and ATK (level);
  • Crit Hit Rate is a buff despite the confusing negative value;

For attackers, the best potentials are ATK%, CDMG and Versus aka Faction aka Racist DMG. If you want to minmax, then vsDMG is going to be highest value depending on the content you're aiming to use that unit in. Healers benefit from ATK potentials as well (but be careful so they don't steal buffs from your carries) and most tanks and supports otherwise prefer HP and resistance potentials. DEF and CR are not that great in general but there are always exceptions. Lastly, Recovery% applies to healing received.

The better option between a stat like ATK% and ATK (level) is almost always going to be the former. Take a character with rounded stats having (+35,000) 95,000 ATK at Sync 300. First subtract the bonus attack to get the base value of 60,000. For ATK% the max roll of 8% would add an extra 4,800 ATK. Meanwhile, ATK (level) can add at most +10 per level, meaning 3,000 extra on a max roll. This can vary depending on stat growth and sync level but if you don't wanna minmax, an ATK (level) boost is still around 50-75% of the value of ATK% when both are maxxed.

[🡱]

Other Soul improvements

Most of these bonuses represent small minmaxxing opportunities and are listed from most to least impactful. You should engage with these mechanics but don't let it drive you crazy.

  • Town Houses: One of the building types you can purchase for your town are manors which will provide a percentage bonus to ATK, DEF or HP for a specific Soul depending on the size of the manor. You'll also get to see the Soul walking around the town which is cute! Sadly there are no presets for this mechanic so you need to go into your town whenever you want to change a Soul's house bonus. Nineark pls fix;

  • Zodiac Buff: Zodiac buffs can improve specific factions or characteristics with small percentage boosts to the stats of all members that apply to it. Zodiac presets allow you to minmax those stat boosts for the content you're doing if you're inclined to put in some extra effort into it. The preset function makes it much quicker now;

  • Ark Enhance: Ark Enhance System is tied to the periodic Operation Eden Alliance event and it allows for more minor improvements based on class to all members that apply to it. You primarily get Ark Enhance Circuits from the shop with currency you obtain by doing that event but you can also get them from the General shop daily and sometimes from successful Soul dates;

  • Soul Links: These are small percentage buffs tied to specific groups of Souls which you can find in the Soulpedia. You get small improvements to everyone in that soul link depending on their ascension level. It's not something worth focusing on specifically, but they come with cute stories which are cute so give them a read;

  • Bond: Lastly, if your bond level with a Soul is high enough they'll get some more minor ATK, HP and DEF percentage boosts as well. This takes a decent amount of investment for a minor boost so consider the trade-off between levelling everyone equally, or maxxing out a few units. You get a heart sticker at max bond too so keep that in mind if you're a waifufag;

Meta Progression

Battlefront progression will unlock most of the game's features and game modes in the first ten or so Battlefronts which you can easily breeze through with all the newbie advantages the game provides.

Your Battlefront progress also dictates your idle income. The game will point out the increase in idle Gold and Mana Dust when you clear stages but it WON'T point out the slow increase in Mana Crystals as well. Furthermore, as you progress through Battlefront you unlock new drops and improved rates for some items. For comparison, BF16-17 unlocks random Eternal+ Keepsake Chests as drops with a 0.005% chance per minute. At BF31-59, those chests have a 0.069% chance to drop, which is more than 10x higher!

Keep in mind that consumable resources scale with your base idle income which increases with Battlefront progress. Save those until you get walled for progress and use them sparingly because they get more valuable over time. Don't just hoard them forever though or you'll lose out more on the potential idle income you could get with a higher BF clear. You won't brick yourself even if you use them all immediately, but keep it in mind and always try to push Battlefront stages further.

Team Building and Combat

There's a surprising amount of depth that goes into team building and since various content has different requirements and meta teams I'll only be covering the general basics of team building for PvE and what to look out for. This video is a fantastic resources that covers much of this info with some examples for team building and mindset.

Formations

Your choice of formation will determine one of several things. The primary consideration being the bonuses. It's common to use an Assault (1-4) formation with the carry in the back or a Ranged(4-1) formation with a strong tank in the front if you want to just maximize the stat bonuses offered.

The second consideration with formations is targeted abilities. Adrianne and Jacqueline target the farthest enemy with their skills. Knowing that, you can take advantage of formations to slot in a bait character which will get dragged or jumped to instead of your squishy carry. You can do the same with enemy teams. Many other characters have abilities with specific targeting or attack shapes so a good formation can help you dodge or hit multiple enemies if used right.

The final aspect of formations is how the Souls clash with each other. With so many targeting rules for abilities and regular attacks, skills that displace, CC or benefit from specific positioning and so on, sometimes you can turn a complete loss into a smooth win just by shuffling the formation of characters around so they engage differently. It's worth trying that a few times if a team doesn't seem to work out.

Soul Buff

This is pretty self explanatory. I'd consider it nice to have but not worth prioritizing over team synergy. The bonuses can be pretty strong but you're likely to run some sort of mixed team that can't benefit fully from the Soul buffs. That said, it's worth keeping an eye out for especially once you have a more developed roster with multiple faction alternatives for roles like healers or tanks which can be interchangeable.

Faction Type Advantage

Similar to the Soul Buff, it's nice to have but not worth stressing over, especially in 5v5 content where you're likely to have two teams of mixed faction units. This bonus IS worth keeping in mind for raid style fights where the longer duration and boss specific type means you can capitalize on this bonus a lot more with a dedicated team, and likewise take less damage by avoiding Souls that are weak to its attacks.

Team composition

If you've followed the guide, you can clear up to BF24 by just using Aki/Edith covered by Daphne's immortality with some supporting characters like Beleth, Talia, Onyx, Honglan, Vivienne, Eve or an extra tank like Chloe or Claire to stall until you can combo them to death. If ever in doubt, there's a "Winning Team" button that will show you many lower CP clear formations for your current fight. They might not always be easy to replicate but it can give you a starting point for what works.

If you managed to score a whale friend, you can hire up to five Souls daily and they will help you with beating troublesome 2 and 3 team stages. Some of the best units that can solo an enemy team on their own include Linzy, Eileen, Aki, Honglan, Dominique, Edith, Jacqueline, Sigrid, Otoha, Claudia, Lizelotte, Ayame, Catherine (Radiance), Linzy (Thanatos) or Mephistopheles (Dawn) although some of them need to survive to the point of using their Main or Ultimate ability to do so.

Once you reach BF19 and BF24 for two and three team fight stages, your teams will need to diversify to cover the extra requirements. The biggest bottlenecks are going to be having a second invested carry and tank so try to focus on those if you have a chance to earlier on. Although you can cheese two team stages with team hires, you might not always have an ideal team to deal with the fights, so make an attempt to get familiar with unit kits in order to overcome the sync difference through proper team building. You'll be able to comfortably clear up to 3x your CP value with a bit of knowledge;

[🡱]

Enemy teams

Oftentimes, flex slots will need to be used to counter specific enemy formations. Here are a couple of Souls off the top of my head that can cause you issues, and some non-exhaustive ways to deal with them:

  • Most strong backline carries: Jacqueline, Adrianne or Eileen can target them. You can slow them down with someone like Honglan and use a Soul who targets high ATK like Aki or Linzy to kill them quicker. Claire: can often disrupt their formations or skill targeting which gives you more options to deal with them;
  • Aki: She does everything yours does. Speed boosts can let you act before she can, or you can try to raise the attack of a bait unit for her to waste her skills on.
  • Claire: She'll jump in the middle of your team and heavily disrupt it while healing from hits. Jacqueline can move before her, acting as a bait to make her jump backwards. Nini can silence her abilities and Otoha can ignore her DEF and evasion. CC and nukers are always good;
  • Linzy: High evasion and her skill targets high ATK units. Nicole and Honglan can lower evasion with the latter also slowing her down;
  • Daphne: Dispels will cancel her immortality buff, Tasha has a handy one on her main skill but many others have alternatives you can manipulate to cancel it. Otoha can instakill low health units which will bypass the immortality trigger. Edith deserved an honorable mention here;
  • Jacqueline: She'll teleport to the farthest ally in stealth at the start of the fight to attack them. You can deal with that with formations and putting a tankier character in the rear, especially one with a taunt;
  • Petra: Her passive gives her 80% DEF when alone, making her extremely hard to kill AND she puts a taunt/damage reflect debuff on your carry. Adrianne can pull an extra enemy near her to nullify it, Claire can jump into the backline, bringing Petra close enough to her allies to nullify it, Dora, Nicole and Mephi can lower her DEF somewhat to help kill her faster. Fairies have type advantage against her, especially Edith. Supports can dispel the taunt on your carry or you can try to use an AoE focused unit or simply withhold ability use until it's safe.
  • Ayame Ayame has a number of nasty abilities including a charm that targets the highest ATK unit, debuffs, bleed DoTs, and binds. You should be extra careful with your formation use, or deploy a sub-DPS or assassin that can target her such as Jacqueline since her own ATK is usually rather high.
    [🡱]

Other Game Mechanics

This part will only focus on some brief info for each relevant mechanic. Read the tutorials on each page or ask for specifics in the thread.

Don't ignore your Evertalks like I do

1. Profile

  • There's an extensively customizable profile so there's a lot of opportunity to get creative with it or just write Bryce smut all over it.
  • Be aware that if you apply for one of our guilds, the "Self-introduction" box in both the Savior Info section and the Profile section is bugged and will appear blank to others. If you want to add /esg/ to your Profile do it through a regular text box.

[🡱]

2. Soul Pass

  • Pick the Resources pass over the Artifact pass when prompted, resources are always going to be a bottleneck, particularly Mana Crystals which you will never have enough of.

3. Souls
  • Read their fucking skills, seriously;
  • There's an entire section on progression for more details on what everything does;
  • You can touch their boobs and look up their skirts if you're dedicated enough;
  • If they like you enough they might respond differently to it.

4. The Ark
  • Beleth is the cutest operator!!
Ascension
  • See this section for the gist of it;
  • If the button says "Auto-select" it's always safe to use. Do NOT use Epics as fodder unless prompted.
  • You can use Recommended to auto merge fodder as well, but it might not always be optimal. It's not a big deal, but doing it manually lets you ensure fodder always merges into the same unit type for easier Ascension.
    [🡱]
Ark Enhance

  • The Ark Enhance System is tied to the periodic Operation Eden Alliance event.
  • You primarily get Ark Enhance Circuits from the shop with currency you obtain by doing that event but you can also buy a few random circuits daily from the General shop or get them as gifts from dating Souls;
  • Focus on Main, Striker and Caster systems, spread them out later to minimize diminishing returns;
  • There's no real strategy beyond this, you can't reset or reinvest into other circuits;
  • This will also increase your max Sync Overclock level but you won't run into that problem for a long time.
    [🡱]
Level Sync

  • Be patient and you'll get your slots through Battlefront and daily progression;
  • Only level your highest ascension Souls, you can use Legendary+ fodder in the early game if you want to boost your level cap to 160 temporarily;
  • Sync is your main incentive for getting Souls to Origin past the early game wall. Each one will add +5 levels to your maximum level cap.
  • The Overclock feature unlocks once you reach Sync 300. It can be a bit of a scam compared to just upgrading your top 5 Souls, so do some math and check the crystal costs.
    [🡱]
Release Soul

  • Turn on Auto-release Common Grade in the Release Soul tab. The shards can be used to get Epics from the shop and you can still use them for slave labor. Lock a copy of Pixie and Casper first because they're objectively the cutest Common souls;
  • You can also auto-release Artifact shards for coins here once you start getting Artifacts to Origin.

Reset Soul

  • Don't be afraid to reset Soul levels, it's cheap if you need to redistribute them or swap units out of sync and it will return 100% of your invested resources;
  • If you somehow end up with two Legendary+ Souls, you can use this feature once per month to break down one of the Souls into its constituent parts, you even get the fodder back!

[🡱]

5. Shop

In general, the things that are worth buying:

  • General Shop: Mana Crystals. Class Enhance Circuit Random Chest if you have the gold to spare;
  • Release Shop: Epic Soul Memories or save some for the Awakening Shop;
  • Labyrinth Shop: Adrianne copies, Epic Soul Memories or save some for the Awakening Shop;
  • Town Shop: Passive resource buildings first, especially Mana Crystal and Mana Dust ones. They add up a lot. Then stat manors or part time job buildings if you have enough slaves to staff them. Finally you can focus on decor or Soul gifts. Ash of Progress is always more worth it if sold for Town Coins since it's better value than buying furniture to burn it at the forge;
  • Raid Shop: Eternal+ Keepsakes or Set Keepsake Selection Chests (Eternal+) to help finish sets once you know what you're doing;
  • Arena Shop: Ayame copies, Epic Soul Memories or save some for the Awakening Shop;
  • Artifact Shop: The random Artifact shards, or whatever Stones you're low on. If your income is lower, you might have to be a bit picky;
  • Evil Soul Shop: Whatever. Mold Selection Chests aren't bad since the drop rate in idle loot is pretty low;
  • Alliance Shop: Main and DPS (Caster, Ranger or Striker) Circuits at first but you'll probably want to spread these around to minimize diminishing returns;
  • Awakening Shop: Everything, as long as you own one copy of the relevant unit;
  • Antique Shop: At least one ATK Anniversary Keepsake Set (Origin) and whatever else makes your dick hard. When you have gems to spare, grab the other two Anniversary sets because they'll always be useful and they're 10x cheaper to upgrade compared to regular sets. You can get past event costumes and items here. If you're whaling then the mana crystal part time job buildings are worth it too.

Although Adrianne is kinda mid and Ayame needs a lot of ascensions to shine, they're still harder to get than other Souls so you might consider their dupes higher priority than more random Epics or other Souls from those shops. Follow your heart but get at least a copy of them, they can be pretty useful still.

[🡱]

6. Bag Items

Hoarder simulator

  • Consumables scale with your base idle income which increases with Battlefront clears. Save those until you get walled because they get more valuable over time;
  • That said, use them if you're stuck and feel like you can progress with a boost, otherwise you'll miss out on idle income you could get from progression;
  • Remember to open your gift Pokeballs.
  • Keepsake levelling is an endgame gold sink, but ones with set bonuses are extremely useful at any point regardless of rarity so save them all until you can replace them with better ones.
  • Use your eyes. Some boxes are selectors or may contain different items even if they look similar.
    [🡱]

7. Zodiac

Mana Dust can be a bottleneck in the midgame though

  • You get extra points to spend based on player level. You will cap out all stat zodiacs at level 385;
  • Max out Aries, Cancer and Pisces first. They increase your passive income and that's far more impactful in the long run;
  • You only need the buff at the moment when you collect your idle loot, so if you swapped off it for another preset you won't brick yourself;
  • Mana Crystals are going to be your bottleneck in the long run so I recommend Aries as your active Zodiac.
  • Set up a second preset for combat, starting with the zodiacs that buff your carry's faction and characterstic. Prioritize characteristic (STR, DEX, INT), then faction;
  • You can forego the lifesteal nodes from the end of the DEX, Demon and Chaotic zodiacs to save a lot of points since they cost 10 for each node. Doing that will let you cap out the other stat zodiacs at level 362 instead;

[🡱]

8. Artifact

9. Stories

  • Don't be a skipfag;
  • There are True Ending guides for love stories in the Information Source spreadsheet linked at the bottom of this page;
  • You can reset love stories for 100 gems to get the other endings, illustrations and a blue ticket; The Sharinne monthly sub lets you reset them for free and even f2p players will get a weekly trial during anniversaries in case you want to save some gems;
  • You can grab a few freebies from the Eden's Got Talent Sub Story and Eden's Doomsday Event story.
    [🡱]

10. Town

The town is a collection of mechanics so read the tutorials on the individual parts yourself. Below are just some tips or mechanical details for different aspects;

Buildings

  • Passive income buildings from the shop and events add up, don't sleep on them;
  • Once you're set with those, the stat manors and part-time job buildings are a good priority to focus on;
  • When starting out, you can balance out your part-time jobs either by removing lower tier buildings, or just auto-assigning Souls only to Epic or Rare jobs if you don't have enough rest slots or investment to keep them going;
  • If a part-time job has especially good rewards, you can assign extra Souls to it for a chance at increased rewards;
  • The Forge lets you turn excess buildings directly into Town Points so you don't have to place them down. Generally the rate is 10:1 of their Town Coin cost. Ash of Progress when sold in the shop for Town Coins is 5:1 value;
  • The town's castle can be used to store buildings and decorations out of sight if you need more space or want to hide some particularly unsightly ones;
  • Don't be a faggot who just dumps all their buildings in the middle of a field. Buy some decorations and make your town nice!

Activities

  • Do your daily monster hunt and visit friend/guildie towns for extra rewards;
  • When it rains or snows you'll have an extra mini quest in the Commercial District for a 10xEternity Flower reward;
  • You can get a portrait frame if you destroy enough decor in the Commercial District.

[🡱]

Souls and bond

Handholding with Mephi!

  • There are guides for Outings in the Information Source spreadsheet linked at the bottom of this page but once you pick an option a Soul likes/dislikes it'll be marked for future conversations;
  • If you get two red hearts and one pink during an Outing, and the Soul is bond 9 or higher, you will get a gift;
  • Bond 9 gets you the full bond story and unlocks repeatable quests which makes it easier to passively raise bond further when a Soul visits the town. It's a good intermediate level to aim for. Bond 11 gets you most of the relevant rest bonuses, going beyond that is small stat boosts and other bonuses;
  • There are specific holidays where certain Souls that got true endings will gift you reward boxes through Evertalk. These are based on 2024 data compiled by Vim1inc:
    • 14/02 - Love Day: Every Soul with a love story;
    • 03/03 - Merchant Day: Eileen, Jade, Naomi, Dominique, Manon, Prim, Weiss;
    • 15/04 - Flora Day: Aki, Dora, Tasha, Kanna;
    • 04/05 - Martial Arts Day: Linzy, Haru, Sakuyo, Edith, Lizelotte;
    • 15/06 - Appreciation Day: Jiho, Flynn, Mica, Seeha, Daphne;
    • 06/07 - Reunion Day: Catherine, Miriam, Naiah, Talia, Bryce, Nini;
    • 25/08 - Songha Festival: Honglan, Xiaolian, Garnet;
    • 14/09 - Full Moon Day: Beleth, Cherrie, Clara, Sigrid;
    • 30/10 - Memory Day: Chloe, Melfice, Otoha, Petra, Velanna;
    • 08/11 - Knowledge Day: Claire, Erika, Joanne, Vivienne, Eve;
    • 24/12 - Eve’s Day: Every Soul with a love story;

  • Quest items and monsters have preset spawn points that depend on the Soul. A recent update babyproofed this mechanic so you'll just be shown where they are outright;
  • You can add more than one Soul for a job even if you meet the requirements, it adds a small chance to get extra rewards from that job so if you have the spare Souls you can prioritize doing that for the good jobs;
  • When you use Auto-Deploy for part-time jobs, the tab you have highlighted will be taken into consideration. Use that to prioritize higher value jobs easily.
    [🡱]

11. Adventure
Challenge

  • The gates are an excellent source of resources, Soul Memories and other rewards and it's easy to forget about them;
  • You can reset your Souls and invest in one or two faction carries ones to powerlevel through faction gates for those sweet rewards;
  • You can also use friend hires for these which can trivialize them over time;
  • in Decoy Operation you'll pretty much always want to farm Mana Crystals;
  • Keep an eye out for Decoy Operation modifiers. Some are much easier to handle than others and can help you get ahead a few stages.
  • You can use two of the same synced Soul in Decoy Operation (and Dungeons). This is pretty niche but two Daphnes is something to consider;

[🡱]

Dungeon

  • Dimensional Labyrinth can be swept as long as you don't use a revive potion. This allows using friend borrows so you can use a whale to defeat the whale;
  • You can clear max stages for Hall of Memories way earlier than normal by abusing that and using hires for every single fight. It might be tedious depending on how early you do it but it also means more resources when sweeping earlier on;
  • You NEED to pick up the keys every time they show up in Dimensional Labyrinth and take the hard portal if you want to fight the whale at the end;
  • When using Skip Battle in Dimensional Labyrinth and Hall of Memories battles, it'll use your current Auto settings. If your Auto is off, then they simply won't use any abilities so make sure you set it up along with an ultimate skill order before using that feature, or disable it for easy fights where you want to conserve mana;
  • Fight progress is saved if you time out so another way to cheese these modes early on is to go full survival and just repeat fights until you chip the enemies to death.

[🡱]

Arena (PVP)

  • PVP is highly worth it early on since you'll be pitted against other newbies and that gives you a chance to get ahead with smart investment;
  • PVP incentivizes accounts that are heavily focused on early progression and optimized for PVP units and comps so the faster you can progress all the available game modes, the higher you can get your sync and investment, and the easier you can stay on top of the leaderboard;
  • Put as much or as little effort into it as you want, it won't matter rewards-wise unless you can top the leaderboard;
  • You can set meme defense teams on regular Arena since you don't lose points when you're attacked. Point gain and loss only happens when attacking and it's calculated relative to the difference between scores for both gains and losses;
  • CArena is simply a rank swap if you manage to win with no penalty if you lose while attacking;
  • There's a series of reset breakpoints in regular Arena. If you score as many points as the left column, you'll start next week with the value on the right.
    Old Points New Points
    6500+ 3200
    6000 3000
    5500 2800
    5000 2600
    4600 2440
    4200 2280

[🡱]

Raid

  • The endgame content, usually requiring multiple teams or other unique mechanics; There's too much to cover about these game modes and they frequently rotate modifiers so there are no hard metas. Ask in the thread for details on whichever mode is going on if you're having trouble and hope someone knows how to read or copy a Korean comp;
  • Make at least make an attempt on all the raid modes because the rewards are nothing to scoff at;
  • Danchou will be sad if you don't do your Guild Raid hits.
  • If you're extra lazy, Prydwen will usually have some teams listed you can try to copy, but they typically expect high investment.

[🡱]

Tower of Origin

  • The floors go up to 60, but the main rewards are sprinkled up to floor 30;
  • Do these as soon as you can. This raises the Artifact's max level by five, you get a cute statue worth 1000 Town Points for your town along with a ton of resources, as well as 300 Artifact shards! That's enough to raise an Artifact to Legendary right away!
  • You can cheese these towers a bit by redistributing your unit levels for specific team comps that work better for individual towers, or wait until you're higher sync for an easier time;

[🡱]

Special Missions

  • For Operation Eden Alliance new modifiers unlock each day and you only need to clear the mode once on the fifth day for the rewards, but doing it daily will get you a few extra coins. Don't ignore it because it's one of the only sources of Erika tickets for a f2p player;
  • TODO OEA Challenger mode;
  • For the Iridescent Scenic Instance, beat down the weekly boss taking into account the buffs/debuffs each pussy has for an immediate crystal reward. The level you clear the cat at has no bearing on the expeditions so you can just beat it at the minimum level until the last day;
  • Once you do, you can freely send out Souls on an Expedition Dispatch for more crystals which can be used to improve your Souls through potentials. The newest Souls usually have bonuses to harvesting those crystals.

[🡱]

12. Battlefront

  • Battlefront progress gives you a lot of freebies and increases your passive income which is very of important for an idle game so push as early and as often as possible;
  • Use high level friend hires, especially for two and three team stages, it makes progressing a lot easier;
  • Starting with BF24 you'll be facing three teams. This is where the fun begins and you should try to aim for a second well invested carry for this portion;
  • Specific stages will also unlock new drops or keepsake rarities as seen in the image;
  • Try to push to BF25-1 before slacking to ensure you get all the possible idle drops in your loot;
  • The "Winning Teams" feature can give you some ideas for beating difficult stages but you'll have to learn some team building to get through;
  • Don't ignore Challenge Mode. The first few chapters will give you full Legendary+ sets with set bonuses: A STR HP set, a DEX Crit Rate set and an INT Speed set. Later on you get better boxes so try them once in a while;
  • In Challenge Mode, you don't need to do all three star conditions at the same time. They count separately.

13. Menu

Hall of Whales
  • This is the first thing you'll click on when you start an account to get a bazillion pulls then ignore it until a new unit comes out for a few more jims;
  • You get to see the people keeping the game alive, if you care at all. You probably don't, just get your free shit.
Soulpedia
  • You can see Soul Link info here, the little link stories are kinda cute too.
Practice Room
  • Despite a few shortcomings, this is a great place to test your teams and far more than a lot of other gachas have on offer.
Friends
  • Exchange Heart Points with friends daily for a ton of free pulls;
  • You can hire up to five units daily to help with Battlefront progress and some other game modes. It costs you nothing and is a great way to progress if you can butter up a whale friend.
Guilds
  • Join Jammies or Pits once you unlock guilds!
  • Even if you contribute nothing worthwhile, there's a reward track for participation so always do your hits!
    Jammies!
DJ Soul
  • A rhythm minigame they made permanent. It's actually really competent and there are some gold rewards for first clears.
Settings
  • There are a couple of preference-based settings here worth taking a look at some point such as notification ones.

14. Events
  • Clear as much as you can even if you're new;
  • With the classic shop event format prioritize passive income furniture then event costumes since both are limited, then the unit copies and whatever else you want;
  • You can clear event shops fully with a bit of leeway if you get maximum income from the stages;
  • If the event has a really good unit on the event pass, you can buy levels for it with gems at a fixed rate. That means that even starting from scratch it will only take 4000 gems to max it out and get the unit which is very good.
  • Event shop items get added to the Antique shop for Everstones if you missed them;
  • For box gacha, it's mathematically worth it to buy at least one ticket a day if you can get the full coin reward. Roulette gacha is more consistent and any amount of extra tickets is worth it depending on how much you care about gems vs artifact ticket gains. In the long run, getting those artifact ticket boxes adds up a lot since this is the main way to level them;
  • Box gacha is a fuck.

15. Lobby customization
  • The buttons above the Battlefront allow you to select your preferred lobby Souls or illustrations;
  • You can also change the lobby music here or listen to many of the tracks directly ingame.

I check the thread often so if you have anything to suggest I'll probably see and respond to it. Big thanks to the original Rentry and the other /vg/ generals that had quality Rentries for inspiration. I'm not an expert or day 1 player so if something looks off, ask in the thread or offer up a correction.

26/12/2024 - v1.5 - Revised the newbie sections again to account for the newly added newbie banner plus a number of small changes for the new update. Added CHRISTMAS SPIRIT! 17/10/2024 - v1.3.4 - Messing around with the new Rentry formatting they added, particularly inline images and metadata. Most importantly, made the Jammies image into a gif so Soonie can dance in all her glory! Also reworded a few early guide segments thanks to feedback.
11/10/2024 - v1.3.3 - A few small revisions to clarify wall breaking requirements and some suggestions for friend hires.
20/09/2024 - v1.3.2 - Tiny changes to account for Linzy's alter.

03/07/2024 - v1.1.1 - Added 1.5th Anniversary special shop strategy;
