Albums

The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, as well as numerous compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band performed sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggsalbum in 1975 Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 following the collaboration.

The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their earlier albums and was criticized for the lack of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen left the group, and they held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their album Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several old demos and tapes to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well received by fans and the band went on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In the year 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

Toto is a rock band from the United States. It was formed in Van Nuys in Greater Los Angeles in 1977. Leland Sklar was his replacement.

Toto has released a number of music videos. The band has released a variety of compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the group is "Africa" that has more than one billion views on YouTube. The video is set in a library and features the group performing on top of a stack of books about Africa.

The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe and a variety of other countries. The single's success helped Toto get back into the limelight after their previous album, Turn Back, failed to chart in the United States.

After the album, Toto went on a world tour. The group was comprised of touring musicians Lenny Castro and Shannon Forrest. Warren Ham, Shem von Schröeck, and Shem von Schroeck were also in the group. Steve Lukather also released his second solo album, Luke.

The album, which was released on the 6th of November, 2018 featured three new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as a complete recording of four tracks from the past with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also included a cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" which the band opted to include after hearing a version on the radio.
