Treat it correctly and it will deliver reliable power for a decade. Mistake 1: Storing the Unit at 100% State of Charge
Leaving any lithium battery fully charged for weeks or months is one of the fastest ways to accelerate calendar aging. At 100% state of charge, lithium cells are under maximum electrochemical stress. For NMC chemistry, this causes measurable capacity loss within weeks. For LiFePO4, the effect is slower but still real over months.
