Please watch me. I'm going to be stronger than you. When I do, I'm going to challenge you to another battle.
Media: Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. ORAS specifically ;; The plot takes place 6 years after the game's ending, so both Wally and my sona are 16 years old, I don't like the 10 year old Wally, that'd be disgusting.
Plotline: Wally meets Oliver while visiting Maxie and Archie, who are now living together in Lilycove City. Oliver escaped his parent's house all the way over Rustboro City the night they moved from Paldea to Hoenn. While travelling, Oliver ended up forming his Pokemon team: Mightyena, Swellow, Altaria and Swampert. Both Altaria and Swampert have their megastones. After a few weeks of their first encounter, Mossdeep Space Center starts registering weird activities, similar to Deoxys asteroid.
Oliver's basic info: He was basically adopted by Maxie and Archie when he made it to Lilycove City. His relationship with Maxie can be summarized in "I won't get attached to this kid but I'll knit some gifts for his Pokémon". He often denies that Oliver is someone really important to him. Maxie is that one father that won't give you kisses or hugs but, when he does, they feel warm and real. However, his relationship with Archie is the vivid representation of the typical chaotic son-father duo. At firts, Oliver wouldn't bring himself to trust Archie, who always gave him his space and assured his safety near him. From the moment Archie protected Oliver from his "parents", Oliver tried to spend more time with him, and that's what makes their relationship so genuine and tender.
Oliver's life in Paldea: Until his 16th birthday, he lived there. That same day he moved with his so-called family to Hoenn. His so-called parents are scientists who experiment with Pokémon clonation and human-Pokémon fusion; however, the tests they do are illegal and they test them on Oliver. That's why he has the scar on his face (more lore about it later).
Oliver's life in Hoenn: They all move there so they can keep experimenting without getting caught. Then, they intended to show Devon Coorp. their discoveries to turn everything into an official investigation. However, Oliver sneaks out during the night, hiding until he made it to Lilycove City, where the Protect the Earth association welcomed him and protected him.
Oliver's Pokémon team: First of all, we have the Poochyena his so-called father gave him after moving. The Poochyena was trained specifically to obey Oliver no matter what, even without having been catched with a Pokéball, so he followed him after escaping until Oliver noticed him. Oliver decided he would manage to turn Poochyena into an independent Pokémon. Leaving Verdanturf Town, Poochyena evolved into Mightyena. Oliver was really excited, excitement that turned into surprise when Mightyena wanted to be catched by him proving that, even if he was an independent Pokémon, he wanted to be by Oliver's side and protect him. Then we have Taillow, who Oliver found tangled in some wires over Mauville City. Without thinking twice, Oliver rescued her, fed her and waited until she woke up to treat her wounds. She seemed like she was trapped for several days, so the recovery would take a while. Mightyena was a bit jealous of the Taillow, but he understood that she was another Pokémon that deserved a chance to be loved just like him and, if Oliver trusted Taillow, Mightyena would trust Taillow. After recovering, Taillow evolved into Swellow almost making it to Fortree City, where she let herself be catched. Next up we have Mudkip, found hiding between some rocks over the Weather Institute. When Oliver tried to catch him to protect him from wind and rain, he realized that the Mudkip already belonged to a trainer, who probably left him behind. Still, Oliver took Mudkip with him. Mukdip felt for the first time what true affection and love from a trainer really was, so he got rid of the bond he had made with his previous trainer (shitty trainer if you ask me), and was catched by Oliver. He evolved into Marshtomp on route 120, and into Swampert near the Saffari Zone. Finally, we have Swablu. Oliver saw him leaving Fortree City flying with his flock along with a shiny Swablu. He would have kept walking if it wasn't for hearing a shotgun aimed to the shiny Swablu, which ended up hitting his Swablu. After saying really bad stuff about Pokémon hunters, Oliver picked up the Swablu, who fortunately wasn't that badly hurt. Still, the Swablu was really weak when they made it to Lilycove City, but he let himself be catched so he could recover in the Pokémon Center, forming a really strong bond with Oliver. Swablu was ready to evolve but didn't want to because he thought that, by evolving, Oliver would stop caring for him. After Oliver found out and reassured Swablu that he would love him no matter what, he evolved into Altaria the night Maxie let them stay over the headquarters. Oliver doesn't have anything to make his Pokémon megaevolve, activate Z movements, Dinamax or Terastallization. Still, Swampert and Altaria can megaevolve, even simultaneously. Moreover, Oliver usually switches Swampert's megastone with a Dinagem (created to control the Dinamax outside of Galar). Then, Swellow has a Flyinium Z, and Mightyena a Fire Terastone (stones also created to control Terastallization outside of Paldea). Oliver doesn't see himself as a trainer, and much less his Pokémon as "his property", but as trustworthy companions who help each other.
Wally's info: Pretty much like the games, Wally is a really introvert individual. His shyness, however, started fading away as he grew up. He went on a trip with Brendan and May to Alola a few months before Oliver moved to Hoenn, and returned after he already settled on the headquarters. Before the trip, he spent some years acting as a Champion substitute since Brendan started working on the Mossdeep Space Center. His Pokémon team is almost the same as the one he uses when battling with him in the Victory Road: Gallade, Altaria, Delcatty, Roserade, Magnezone and Mudsdale.
Protect the Earth association: its been active for 6 years, has its headquarters in Lilycove City, and two mini headquarters in the old Magma and Aqua hideouts. Its icon is Rayquaza, the legendary dragon Pokémon, accompanied by Groudon and Kyogre, creators of the land and the seas. The leaders are Maxie, Team Magma's ex leader, and Archie, Team Aqua's ex leader. They decided to create the association as a way to work out their differences and to compensate for all the damage they did by awakening the primordial Groudon and Kyogre. Maxie takes care of the office stuff, donations, organization and preparation of events, protests... the voice of the association. Archie is the representative, the one who speaks on the protests... the image of the association. Shelly, Matt, Tabitha and Courtney are also members, but they take care of other things like advertising, marketing, web management... The association's purpose is to promote awareness, recycling, stop using plastics and, most importantly, to be responsible Pokémon trainers, with their Pokémon as well as with wild Pokémon.
