Games I like and why
Games I play nowadays
Minecraft - Grew up with it, Very open ended, 1.8 combat is very fun, Mods make it even more fun, Strong social aspect
Ultrakill - Fast and freeform, Stylistically immaculate, I like doing cool stuff, Hard but not super hard
Geometry Dash - The community is cool, Simple concept done really well, I can make my own levels
Team Fortress - Medic and Pyro are fun classes, It was a free FPS I could play on my laptop as a kid, I always feel like I'm contributing something
Warfork - Movement is very fast and fun, The character doesn't level up you do, Simple but captivating gameplay, Arena shooters are awesome
Xonotic - Diverse and expressive weapons, Free to play and low hardware requirements, Good game design, Arena shooters are awesome
BlazBlue - Fun 2D fighting game, Intricate systems, Matchups are unique, Characters are funny, Ragna is awesome
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Fun 3D fighting game, Expressive movement and combos, Matchups are unique, Characters are funny, Kazuya is awesome
Skate 3 - Skateboarding games are awesome, Markiplier played it and I loved his videos, Lots of cool skill expression
Fortnite - Skill expression, Building is so awesome, I can play as Sunspot, Creative provides cool 1v1 gamemodes I like, Rocket Racing is a fun gamemode
Smash Ultimate - I get to play it a lot offline, Playing with bots makes me better, The game feels fluid and crisp, I like Mii Brawler
Left 4 Dead - Fun and simple horde shooter, Good game design, Made by Valve, Workshop support is great, Characters are cool
Games I played as a kid
Kid Icarus Uprising - Characters were funny, I liked the gameplay, Pit was so cool when I was a kid
Super Paper Mario - It was Mario, I liked how it's not an RPG, Characters are super dynamic, The 3D mechanic is really interesting
Mario and Luigi Dream Team - I don't like RPGs but it was Mario, The Dream mechanics are interesting
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - It was Mario, My mom bought it for me before the first game, Fun 3D platformer on the Wii, I could use motion controls to my benefit, Yoshi was fun to use
Portal 2 - I played it before Portal 1, First Portal game I played, Make your own levels, Steam games were sparse in my library
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth - idk why i like this one honestly lol
Don't Starve (Together) - Survival gameplay like Minecraft, I got to play it with my skype friends, Modding made it funny
Scribblenauts Unlimited - Fun puzzle game, I got to make my own solutions, Artstyle is super unique, Maxwell was my kin when I was 9
Terraria - I got to play it with skype friends, Fun RPG, I don't like it much because I don't enjoy grinding that much in games
Mario Kart Wii - It was Mario, It was a racing game, I got to play as Mario and Yoshi
Other games I used to play
Payday 2 - Fun game overall, Characters are funny, My dad bought it for me, First experience with horde shooters, Gunplay is satisfying
THUG Pro - Arcade like skateboarding game, Fun thing to play while I watch/listen to 20 minute YouTube drama videos
Project+ - It's just an easier Melee and a cooler Smash Bros
Smash Melee - I tried playing it but I didn't enjoy how there's no input buffer, I can appreciate what goes into it though
Games and genres I don't really like
Turn-based combat - No sense of urgency or agency, I like being able to do things at any time
RPGs - I already like playing a character, I don't really care about story that much in my games anymore
Clicker games/Tycoons - I don't like games where your only objective is to make a number go up endlessly
Low skill ceiling games - There's not a lot of replay value, It's not very appealing to someone like me who enjoys competition
Military simulation games - Not my cup of tea, Was never a big "real war" guy (at least gameplay wise), Too slow for my enjoyment
