Jules' Gender Hoard!

Hi there! I'm Jules, a 26 year old autistic ADHD person, and this is my gender hoard! It's just a collection of what I feel aligns with my gender. It is subject to change, as I believe that my gender is constantly changing (not necessarily a good thing, but here we are.). I am doing this for my own mental health, so I don't take gender so seriously and think myself into a box over and over again- I am allowed to be many things! I'll be updating this periodically as I go along. I hope you enjoy it!

All of these are pretty much sourced by Gender Wiki, tumblr, or my own machinations.

Gender Identities I align with

  • Trigender: Trigender people experience exactly three gender identities, either simultaneously or varying between them. These three gender identities can be male, female and/or any non-binary identities.
*Personal note: The more I look at this term, the more I think I enjoy it. The term Trigender makes a lot of sense for me in that I feel it's hard to pick one big label, but
  • Nonbinary: denoting, having, or relating to a gender identity that does not conform to traditional binary beliefs about gender, which indicate that all individuals are exclusively either male or female.
Personal note: This is technically what I am, in the most taxonomical sense. "Not Cis" also works pretty well to describe myself in a scientific way.
  • Genderfluid: refers to a gender that varies, or changes over time.
08/10/2024 - Updating this personal thought. I think it's important to note that I'm trying to embrace this one now, because... my gender is chaotic, and that's okay. It's scary and unknown, but it's okay to be scared. If people used Genderfluid to define me as "girl-lite" before, then that's their problem.
  • Xenogender: a non-binary identity and umbrella term in which one's gender goes "beyond the human understandings of gender", and is instead crafted by other methods of gender categorization. This may include genders that are related to animals, plants, or other things that are not traditionally a gender. They are often used by the neurodivergent community (people with ADHD, autism, OCD, etc.), but the term is not exclusive.
This one is one I'm still getting used to, but readily accept for other people. I know my autism affects my gender very very heavily, and using terms and ideas that are not just based on human understandings of gender seem to help me relate to myself a little better.
  • Mutogender: a genderfluid identity in which one's gender's fluidity causes one's gender to change depending on the situation; for example, the location, people one interacts with, the season, etc.
This one is new to me. I only just found out about it, but it makes a lot of sense. Sometimes my gender changes based on things like others' presentations, or the weather. I don't know if this is just a genderfluid thing, but gender "mutating" is a thing that I relate to a lot.
  • Multigender: A term for anyone who experiences more than one gender identity. It can be used as a gender identity in its own right, or can be an umbrella term for other identities which fit this description.
I think this goes without saying if I'm making this webpage, but I'm putting it here for the sake of categorization.
  • Abimegender: A xenogender identity in which one's gender feels profound, deep, and infinite. This gender can be described as when one mirror is reflecting into another, creating an infinite reflection. It may also be associated with paradoxes.
Just discovered this one, and yeah... that describes the phenomenon really well. It feels like I have so many different genders at different times that it's incredibly confusing and infinite. Other times it feels like I have none.
  • Cluttergender: A gender identity in which one's gender feels cluttered with many genders that cannot be described.
This is DEFINITELY how this feels. Sometimes gender to me feels like a cramped attic with a bunch of confusing, nostalgic bobs and bits that you look fondly back on with a bittersweet feeling. I think it's important for me to remember that gender is extremely messy.
  • Worldgender: A gender identity in which one’s gender(s) have such complex relationships and subgenders that it feels like they make up an entire world or planet together, each gender affecting the biomes and other features of this world/planet. Someone who is worldgender may attempt to create a world/planet with their identities to describe the role each one plays in their gender. There is no limit to the amount of genders that play roles in these "worlds".
I feel like this one pretty much describes itself- but I also created a term that was very similar a while ago, which I will define next. I feel like gendernebulous and worldgender go very much together as a pair.
  • Gendernebulous: a xenogender that represents a person who is perpetually questioning and "visits" gender labels like a ship landing on planets, but never truly claims one as home. Related to questioning, space, exploration, and uncertainty.
I actually coined this term and came up with a flag, but I don't have the old blog page for it. But I still have the flag saved in my art.
  • Polygender: A gender identity in which one experiences multiple gender identities, either simultaneously or varying between them. These could be male, female, or non-binary identities.
This one is another taxonomical term, similar to Multigender or Nonbinary. It's just one that makes sense. Maybe it could be a blanket term to let people know I have many genders?
  • Dazegender/Dazefluid: a gender identity where one's gender feels foggy and unclear. Dazefluid is simply denoting that the unclear gender identity is fluid.
This one hits too hard. It's why I feel so awful about gender sometimes. It being hazy and hard to describe is part of my identity, part of the way I process gender as an autistic person.
  • Mekangender: a gender identity in which one's gender is masculine, and also 'soft' or feminine.
Once again, gentle masculinity really appeals to me. The soft, fluffy haired boy you can always come to, you know? Someone who is still labeled he but would rather wear a flower crown than a football helmet.
  • Rosboy: a gender identity in which one is a boy and has some significant connection to femininity, either in their gender or expression; a feminine-aligned boy; an umbrella term for all identities that involve being both a boy and feminine.
I like this one a lot, mostly because of my affinity for the term "boy" as well as the femboy gender vibe. But I had a bad experience with it being called called offensive(for what reason I don't know). I'm not sure it is at all, it just describes effeminate boys.
  • Transneutral: a term used to describe a transgender individual who identifies fully or partially as a neutral, abinary, or any unaligned gender. It can be considered umbrella term for individuals who transition to a neutral identity.
This one feels most accurate for my transition physically. Transgender and transmasc just don't quite fit right? This is mostly due to the fact that my transition may LOOK transmasculine, but it's not, not entirely. I don't even know if that's a thing.

Other things/Aesthetics/attributes I consider part of my gender

My gender is not just comprised of the possible identities listed above. As a neurodivergent autistic person, sometimes attributes, animals, creatures, colors, aesthetics, etc, can contribute to how I feel about my gender. These are just as important to me as labels, but they don't feel like an identity to me- just attributes or things that feel gendered to me specifically.

  • Aesthetics: Kidcore, Toycore, Dark/Light Academia, Goth, Alternative, Spacecore, Aliencore, Plushcore, 80's/90's/Early 2000's fashion and cartoons.

  • Attributes: Bravery, Strength, Gentleness, Kindness, smiling, Positivity, Cuteness, Sweetness, Honesty, Authenticity, silliness, unapologeticness of self.

  • Clothing/wearable items: Long skirts that brush the ground, button ups with crazy patterns, funky socks, cargo pants, tshirts with fun graphics, flannels, flamboyant earrings, ear gauges, kandi/pony bead bracelets, comfy hoodies, pants with fun patterns, anything made from corduroy, sweaters of all kinds, 80s/90s clothing/jewelry, anything that Taako from Adventure Zone would wear, elegant pantsuits(effeminate in taste), pajama shorts, Doc Martens, Chucks shoes, white sneakers, cowboy boots, bandanas, light makeup with bright eyeshadow, thick but short brows, shoulder length to short hair, hair clips, nail polish (especially blue), witchy jewelry, rings, layered necklaces, lacy tank tops, cardigans, lacy negligees, anything that makes me look like a soft boy, a hippie, a pastel nightmare, or a librarian who's hiding something. If it looks queer to me, I love it.
  • Colors: Bright orange, Gold, Silver, Periwinkle blue, Forest green, tree bark brown, chestnut brown, deep red, lavender, royal purple, pearl pink, black.
  • Environments: Mountains, Space, Deep ocean, Liminal spaces, cities at night/sunset.
  • Music: Indie rock/folk/pop, some folk music (has to have a good story), japanese music of all kinds, Kmart/'grocery store' music, classical music you can study to, avant garde stuff, punk rock, goth music, alternative pop music, queer music.
  • People/Characters I consider to be "gender": Marquis Neal, Alok Vaid Menon, Pixielocks, Beepworld, KathleenIllustrated, Iris Olympia, Mettaton, Grell Sutcliffe, Ethan Nestor, all the McElroy Brothers, Jammidodger, Omazing Paige, Alan Cummings, Harvey Guillen, F1NN, Gura, Gonzo from the Muppets, Hozier, Sam Smith, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Jonathon Van Ness, Rhoyle Ivy King, Ghost Honey, Florist, Indya Moore, Janelle Monae, Lachlan Watson, Maia Kobabe, Ellie Desautels, Ruby Rose, Jacob Tobia, AURORA.

That is all I can think of for now! I appreciate your time reading this, and I hope you have a good day!
