Project Concept ICA

In this program, we are inspired by the EU Erasmus project, hence promoting scholarships programs within national cooperative organizations, in order to support all youth who want to learn more about cooperatives. This is a project meant for youth interested in participating in tailor-made study trips by participating in an exchange program providing the opportunity to get to know and visit cooperative organizations and members of ICA worldwide. World Learning Youth Programs bring international high school age youth to the U.S. for short-term intensive leadership and peacebuilding programs and exchanges. Department of State fosters mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries to promote friendly and peaceful relations. We accomplish this mission through academic, cultural, sports, and professional exchanges that engage youth, students, educators, artists, athletes, and rising leaders in the United States and more than 160 countries. Leadership Skills is the original YLX program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Read https://trainingvision.edu.sg/program/certified-digital-marketing-associate/ about how Rotary Youth Exchange is a catalyst for service, cultural understanding, and lifelong connections to Rotary. Short-term exchanges last from several days to three months and are often structured as camps, tours, or homestays that take place when school is not in session. The pilot of the Youth Leadership Exchange Program is a 10 day learning journey that will have two pilot editions in 2023. This program is a great opportunity to learn about another culture and interact with different people. I volunteer at an orphanage in my community and participate in activities to protect nature.

From the Youth Executive Committee, we are looking for youth that belong to the movement but also that are generally aware and interested about the cooperative movement to join this group of adventurous pioneers. Upon their return home, the students apply what they have learned to implement projects that serve needs in their communities. I love learning about leadership, and I would like to learn how to apply this skill. Providing 18 young people from Ukraine with the opportunity to spend 5 weeks in Minnesota, USA, to learn and grow as future leaders. During Phase 1, participants will take part in a pre-departure orientation as the beginning of this Leadership program. Participants and their families will have an opportunity to meet Embassy and Terra Art staff to discuss the program.

I want to participate in this program because I would like to develop my leadership skills and make new friends. Support this cause by donating, volunteering, acting as a host family, or “adopting” a Ukrainian program participant! It costs $3,500 for each participant, and all donations go towards the cost of travel, food, and activities. We do not charge money for staff salaries, overhead expenses, or office rent. The 2022 program will create opportunities for youth groups, educational institutions, government officials, businesses and nonprofit organizations to learn from one another through an exchange of ideas, strategic dialogue, and active/strategic problem solving. The goal of YouLEAD is to promote understanding of issues the youth experience in their respective locations and how they participate in community development, local government, and global thinking.

A 20-day exchange program in October and November 2022 that will offer 18 students and 3 teachers the opportunity to explore the principles of leadership and community activism in the United States. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service. This project resembles the EU project called “Erasmus Project” according to which students from EU countries can undertake a period of study in a university of other EU member countries. This Erasmus Project is subsidized by the European Union with a scholarship.
