You can save your home's maps, create cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. They also let you change suction power and fine-tune the amount of water and scrub action your mop makes use of.
A mapping feature helps your robot navigate around rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance feature helps it avoid hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These are essential features for my home, which is filled with toys scattered around.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the flagship mop and vacuum, which is why it naturally comes with features. It can mop and sweep simultaneously, and lift its brushes or mop pads so that soft surfaces don't get wet. It also has the ability to see and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to recognize pet toys plants, a variety of small objects.
The robot vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals, which is higher than any other robot vac we've tested up to now. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its position, which prevents it from getting stuck on a surface.
Mopping capabilities are also impressive and features the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of more than 6 Newtons to the mop pad to provide a deep clean. It also has an automatic mop lifting system which lifts the pad when it goes from tile to laminate, hardwood to carpet and rugs, thereby avoiding the possibility of soaking these soft surfaces.
Additionally it is also the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying functions. The pad is capable of rinsing and heat-drying within the dock. robot cleaner amazon will automatically empty before returning to the dock. This means you can just set it and forget it, only having to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank occasionally.
All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. I ran it on its normal vac and mop settings for around 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and return to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids I've tested.
This is a highly well-rounded and capable product, with its only downsides being that it's pricey. But its abundance of features makes it a very tempting choice for anyone looking to go away from their old stick vacuums and mops. We highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify its price.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end combination. The high price is justified by the robust features, including a large vacuuming capability and two mop heads that gyrate. It has an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop sets available with a suggested retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed very well throughout the entire home. It removed 98.4 percent of debris from all types of floors and managed to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed admirably with excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was due to their rotational movement as well as the powerful cleaning solution.
The docking station is the real selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station empties the dustbin into a bag to collect dirt, then refills the water tank to use for mopping, and even dry your mop pads. It also comes with an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and lets you schedule periodic cleaning sessions via its intelligent controls.
The L10S Ultra does not offer the best performance in removing carpet debris compared to the other hybrid mop I tried. Additionally it's not as efficient in removing stubborn stains as those found in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features it still requires regular maintenance. Its base station has to be cleaned out and the water tank and dust bag should be cleaned, empty and dried on a regular basis to avoid unpleasant odors and mildew. The mop pads that are sold separately also require replacement every few months.
With the L10S Ultra's high-end price tag and extensive functionality I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the budget for it. If you're on a budget I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could purchase however, its price and ongoing maintenance would make it more an item to have than one that you actually need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're in search of a robot vacuum and mop that will remove dust and dirt on your floors while taking care of wet messes, then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combo comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts a huge battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. It's also fitted with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It even comes with mop rollers that clean itself as it goes and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-clean in order to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller covers the entire length of the bot and is continuously dosed with clean, ozonated water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while soaking up dirt. Any dry debris is picked up with the side brushes or swept away into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station, which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements before being dumped into a larger storage canister. The onboard tank holds a decent amount of water, and can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before running dry.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use right out of the box, just like most other robotic vacuums/mops. It does need to be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do within the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, in case you want to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you decide to select this option you'll need to purchase the cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow users to use their own cleaner of choice.
The S1 Pro performed well in the navigation efficiency and coverage tests, just like the majority of robots. It was quick to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple times on carpets with longer piles and rugs in my tests however this could be fixed as the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very powerful robot that can be bought at affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level mop and vacuum cleaner, but it still has some impressive features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing the mop pads as it goes. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of a space before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction does a nice job of picking up debris and pet hair that accumulates on carpets.
The software that runs the appliance is extensive, and provides many options to customize the cleaning process. You can manually initiate an entire map and take care to clean everything that is mapped by the device, or you can select particular rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine that you've set up. There are many mopping options which include SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the area.
Like all the Roborock models we've tested like all the Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo does well in our tests. Its navigation system is solid, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a neat manner. The 'Normal" pathing option covers an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance function works well, however it's not as sophisticated as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can identify the dangers of carpets that are thick however it won't always be able to detect smaller items such as rug tassels or electrical wires.
The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop after vacuum option which could be an issue for people who do a lot of vacuuming prior to cleaning with their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy alternative: the app has an option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. You can use the mopping features of the vacuum to get rid of the dust and dirt that were left behind after vacuuming. It's a nice feature and can help the robot to get rid of a bit better than its cheaper rivals.
