"Do you think the foundation is evil?"
"...I wouldn't say so, perse..."
"Do you think anomalies are evil?"
"...No. Not really."
"...Let me tell you a story, a tale even."
Once upon a time, there was a young man, around twenty years old, who walked deep into the Amazonian forest, of which he was travelling to with his family. He took pictures of all the beautiful butterflies and moths, ranging from green to yellow. But then, as the man picks up a few of the butterflies in his hands, he spots a lake. Such lake was used to find gold and other precious gems, men known as "garimpeiros" used to go daily on this lake just to find something valuable. This lake, however, had the name of "Rio das Ágatas", as agate was the most valuable gemstone you could find back in the old days.
Coincidentally enough, the young man had a specific type of pan for 'garimpagem', known as the bateia. He picks his bateia up and approaches the water, which looked extremely dirty. He digs up whatever's under the dirty water, not expecting to find anything other than rocks and leaves. But, in his fifth sweep, the young man finds a collar with pure agate on it. He didnt know if it was real at the time, but that did not stop him from getting shocked. Not because it must be a valuable item, but because it was too much of a coincidence.
*The man tries to stand up, but suddenly, a hand grabs his bateia, trying to take the collar in it. The young man screams, shocked at the sudden sight. He drops the bateia and falls on his back. In the water, there is what seems to be a woman, who is completely made out of water. Her eyes, face, hair, everything. The man tries to take in the sight, but the woman starts to talk:*
"Oh, good sir, please give me back my collar! It means a lot to me, sir!"
She pleads, as the young man holds the collar. A light shines in the biggest agate gemstone in the collar as the young man offers the collar to the water woman. She then starts speaking, again:
"Oh, thank you, sir! I must reward you! Come, take my hand, and I will take you to paradise!"
The man was utterly confused. "What do you mean, paradise?"
"I can see your life is hard. I heard you, deep in that forest, arguing with someone... I feel your pain."
The man was shocked that the water woman heard him argue with his mother. It's true, his life wasn't as easy as it seemed, even as an adult. The young man hesitates, but slowly grabs the woman's hand. "Close your eyes..." she said, before dragging him under the water. He heard his son calling for him in the background, but it's too late, and the man is gone, never to be seen by his family again.
"And the woman, carrying the man, emerges out of a fountain's water. Other men then come in the room where the two are present, and carry the man away."
"...How does this story make anomalies not evil?"
"...Well... That woman... She saved me. From something much worse that could've happened..."
