Cece's Tea Time
“Ah, I could get used to this.” Cecilia Immergreen sighed wistfully as she leaned against the skyscraper in front of her. Following her successful 3D debut Cece booked a quick vacation to Holo City to blow off some steam. With most of HoloEN going straight to New York for the concert, the city was almost empty and knowing of its reconstructive capabilities, she had indulged herself in a bit of destructive fun. Taking a break from her therapeutic rampage, the vacationing automaton ordered her army of tiny otomos to prepare a cup of her matcha tea.
“I wonder if we could do a performance here, Kiara-senpai did say she wanted to do more giant hologram performances. Ah…I’m soooo sore.” Cece stretched lazily, a pancaked bus falling from the sole of her shoe. “I should have booked a trip to the onsen before we left, oh well…” She looked at her watch impatiently, tapping her foot, which caused a spiderweb of cracks to form in the asphalt. “Where are those otomos…I really need to get going or I’m going to miss my flight.”
As if on cue, several dozen otomos carried out an elegant green cup filled with steaming hot tea. “FINALLY! What do I even pay you guys for?” Picking up the cup, Cece noticed the sad faces on her faithful servants. “Ooooh, fine! I guess you did a pretty decent job. Actually…I guess you’ve earned a reward too!” Scooping up the otomos, Cece non-chalantly tossed them into her tea. The otomos stared up and were greeted by the smiling face of their oshi. “Cheers otomos!” Sticking out her pinky, the dainty automaton sipped her tea happily, her fans sloshing down her throat to her awaiting stomach. Cece had intentionally designed the otomos to be highly energy efficient for her consumption, and with their transferable souls they could easily be revived and reused again. Truly the most useful and recyclable fanbase!
“AHHHH! That hit the spot!” Setting down her tea cup, Cece was about to turn and leave when a flash of deviousness surged through her. “HIIIIIIIIII-YAH!” Cece playfully thrust her hip into the building, its glass edifice shattering as its injured form swayed back and forth. Cece twirled around, gracefully dancing for a bit before delivering a powerful butt bump. This was far too much for the faithful building turned table to withstand, and it collapsed in a cloud of metal, glass, and dust. Despite the automaton’s notorious lack of strength, the buildings in Holo City had been tuned so that even the most noodle armed member could dispatch them with ease.
“Tee hee, aw yeah….I definitely need to book some time here after the concert.” Happily skipping away, each step carving an elegant footprint in the concrete beneath her, Cece suddenly realized it had been a while since she had seen Gigi. The two of them had come here together, but Gigi had said she had “something to take care of.” Cecilia stopped in her tracks and huffed. “Dang it Gigi, we’re going to be late, where…”
As if on cue, a bellowing laugh erupted throughout the city. Turning in its direction, Cece was met with a familiar, if startling sight: an absolutely massive Gigi Murin leaning over the entire city. While Cece had chosen a modest couple hundred feet for her fun, Gigi seemed to be several miles tall. But somehow, the city was almost entirely intact…so what had she been up to?
“Gigi?! What are you?!”
“OH HEY CECE!” The gremlin bellowed, her voice blowing out the windows of every building for miles. “SORRY I JUST WOKE UP FROM A NAP!”
“What?! You were napping this whole time?! You could have just done that on the plane!”
“Yeah well…” Gigi didn’t really have an explanation for why she had taken a nap while being so big. Scratching her head goofily, she stood up to her full height. “Ahhhhhh, what does it matter, we should get going! Here, let me pick you up and we’ll…WHOOPS!” Somehow, the titanic gremlin managed to trip on something. Cece’s eyes widened as the massive form of her orange nuisance descended from the heavens. She would definitely be needing an extra long vacation after this one.
