WHY REMOVING THE DEFLOWERING SCENE WAS BAD
In Deltarune during the Chapter 4 Weird Route the scene where you force Noelle to wear the Thorn Ring and item stemming from Chapter 2's Weird Route, this ring in question hurts the wearer but does reduce the TP cost of ice spells, which in this case this ring is made for Noelle. Farther back into Chapter 2, there was the Freeze Ring something you obtain through the Pink Addison, you will always in this scenario not have enough D$. You in this scenario are forcing Noelle to get it, actively participating in coercion you force Noelle to get the ring. Furthermore, you force Noelle to "get stronger", this word force meaning you make her kill the darkners and you almost kill Berdly through making her cast the spell Snowgrave on him. The heavy theme on marriage in this also applies (NOTE: Kris is nonbinary, but explicitly forced into a male role within this route). Within this you both force Kris and Noelle into a sort of marriage between them, with the rings and the ferris wheel (which is shown to be romantic in a normal playthrough) and you can tell Noelle that you will go with her during the Weird route.
What we have learned is that, is that specifically Noelle is being forced against her will to do things she does not want to. This has and always will hold resemblance to sexual violence especially regarding coercion. Let it be stated I do not think that you are forcing Kris to rape Noelle or any sort of thing, but that it is a very easy and not a weird way to interpret what this can be and represent. The flower is a very honest way to represent what this is, Noelle has lost her innocence, she has lost her autonomy in the situation at hand, she can no longer act on her own volition. This all can parallel with sexual violence and honestly as someone myself who has experienced these types of things I rarely see myself as someone who can be someone other than what happened to me.
