Towa's R&R

Towa had been a bit nervous about visiting the new overseas recording studio, but in the end the work trip had been worth it. The area was absolutely breathtaking and the foreign staff had been very friendly. Following a particularly grueling recording session, the dedicated devil girl had longed for a relaxing trip to the spa back at her hotel. The staff had insisted that she get out on the town and see the sights, assuring her that the city would cater to any needs she might have. Enticed by the possibility of new experiences, Towa cheerfully hit the streets, a familiar purple aura swirling around her.

The evening sun painted the sea a soothing orange, the nearby resort town winding down for the day. That was until the quakes began, shaking the idyllic town and blanketing it with apprehension. These quakes had increased in number recently, particularly after the Japanese company Cover built a remote recording studio in the coastal city. But of course this was just a coincidence, after all what could an idol company possibly do to create an earthquake like this?

“Herro!” A chipper, booming voice shook the city, and the locals craned their necks skyward to look for its source. Looming above them was Tokoyami Towa, now standing several miles tall. The stylish devil girl was staring down at the city with a mix of curiosity and laziness, her shapely hips swaying side to side. Her massive body cast a shadow over everything for miles, and the humans below stood frozen, waiting to see what her intentions were. They quickly received their answer as Towa flashed a peace sign and raised her bare foot into the air, its sole decorated with dirt and the remains of several flattened buildings. A frenzy of panic descended onto the city, but any attempts at escape would be utterly in vain. The devil’s foot quickly descended from the heavens, impacting the earth like a meteorite, obliterating humans, vehicles, and buildings alike.

“Thank you very much!” Towa’s foot slammed down again, annihilating several more blocks of quaint seaside buildings, thousands of tourists and locals alike reduced to smears on the underside of her foot. In her past excursions, Towa had usually limited how big she grew, preferring the more visceral fun of interacting with humans and cars at a scale she could easily perceive. This time, at the enthusiastic insistence of some of her friends, she was trying out a more massive size. She definitely missed the refreshing crunch of individual cars and the delicious warm pop of a crowd of humans. But this was made up for by the soothing feeling of buildings crumbling over her feet, her toes decorated with green and purple nail polish wiggling playfully as rows of luxury hotels were erased by Towa’s colorful digits. For the exhausted devil, a relaxing, effortless walk like this was a godsend, and this scale was definitely the way to go.

The sheer inability for anything to resist her at this scale was a welcome surprise for Towa; she experimented a few times with stopping her steps right before hitting the ground, particularly when she noticed sections of the city that had a few particularly tall high rises sprinkled in. Without her sturdy sneakers on she expected at least a little bit of give, but instead her delicate soles were easily able to sheer off the tops of these skyscrapers, bringing a level playing field to the doomed buildings before they were levelled seconds later. This unintentional teasing had the side effect of giving those fleeing in Towa’s wake a large degree of false hope, but no matter how hard they ran or how much they slammed on the gas, once the shadow of the mighty devil’s foot was over them, their fate had been sealed.

The fragility of these skyscrapers gave Towa a mischievous idea, and upon trampling another section of the city, she began dragging her foot against the surface. Once again the devil was shocked by the utter flimsiness of the human city, as her bare foot easily plowing through rows of adjacent buildings and snuffing out thousands more humans who had moments ago thought themselves spared when Towa’s stomp missed them. “Arigato! This feels…very nice!” Towa bowed politely to the desolate stretch of dirt she had ravaged, her beatific behind rising just high enough to intercept an overly curious news helicopter that had gotten too close, its explosive demise not even registering to the titanic vtuber. She had made it a point to practice her English while she was abroad, but sadly hadn’t had many meaningful conversations since she had arrived.

As she continued her cataclysmic stroll, the summer heat began to make her feel sluggish. Despite her increased size giving her far greater resistance to the weather, being out so long had left her pale skin sparkling with sweat. “Gah, so hot..yeeeeeouch.” Casually fanning herself with her cap, an act which generated hurricane scale wins to the hapless citizens behind her, Towa looked around for a place to take a rest. Despite individual humans being smaller than grains of sand to her, she was still a devil of decency and was not about to strip in public. Still, she would definitely be bringing a swimsuit on her next outing.

Scanning the miniature surface before her, Towa’s eyes locked onto a particular object of interest: an exceptionally tall skyscraper, one that had accomplished the monumental feat of actually reaching past Towa’s ankles. Casually striding over to her newest toy, the devil girl had taken to dragging her feet across the landscape after every step. The feeling of building after building crumbling at the mere touch of her toes was utterly divine, and this playful act of thorough destruction had left the underside of her nails packed with debris. Reaching her destination after a few more steps, Towa looked down at the skyscraper and playfully waved.

“Herro everywan! My name is Tokoyami Towa! Your city is…very nice! I really really like it! Thank you for having me!” Towa’s friendly greeting blew out the windows of the top few floors and deafened everyone within a few mile radius. Shifting her shapely legs a bit, the monolithic devil slowly began to lie down. While her steps had appeared like meteors impacting the earth, the gradual descent of Towa’s lithe body felt like the sky was falling to the terrified humans caught in her shadow. An entire neighborhood was erased as she made planetfall, over ten thousand people sacrificed for the comfort of the lethargic devil girl. Propping her head up with one arm, Towa happily hummed to herself as she mulled over what to do with her captive audience.

Her daydreaming was interrupted by a barrage of missiles detonating against her butt. Turning her head lazily, Towa witnessed a squadron of fighter jets streaking over her. When she had first started taking these sorts of walks she had found military responses to be aggravating and a pointless distraction, but over time she had come to find the gentle poking of their ineffectual weapons to be oddly relaxing. If anything she found it kind of cute to see them try over and over despite the obvious lack of effect their attacks had against her, which was no different even with this harsher response. She had a soft spot for those brave enough to take part in these attempts, and would usually try and leave them be if she could. Yawning happily, she took to contentedly watching them make pass after pass, each volley of rockets and barrage of gunfire at most causing her ample thighs to jiggle. Sadly, during one particularly low bombing run they strayed too close to Towa’s idly flicking tail, and the massive appendage obliterated the entire squadron like a fly swatter disposing of a few troublesome mosquitoes. “Oh no! Sorry sorry! Was an accident!” While her flying entertainment had been unfortunately cut short, Towa found solace in the fact that she still had another source of fun.

The occupants of the skyscraper had hoped that the devil girl lounging in front of them had lost interest and would leave them unscathed, but these hopes were cut to pieces as Towa shifted her head, a playful smile plastered on her face. Humans attempting to quickly descend down the stairs and escape the building were paralyzed with fear as an eyeball larger than an Olympic swimming pool appeared before them, momentarily observing their miniscule forms before moving on to survey another part of their shelter turned prison. The building was a massive cylindrical structure with a beautiful glass exterior. Standing at just around 2,000 feet tall, the skyscraper was a marvel of engineering and a symbol of pride for the region that had taken nearly a decade to complete. To Towa, it was about the size and shape of a toil paper roll, its glass exterior quickly becoming fogged by the humidity and heat generated from the sweaty devil’s body. Deftly stinking her pinky out, Towa tapped the top of the skyscraper. The structure wobbled in agony, the entire top section of glass shattering. Moving her pinky down towards the middle, Towa tried tapping slightly softer. This gouged a huge hole in the side of the building, any humans unfortunate enough to have been close to the point of impact instantly reduced to a red mist. “So fragile!” Towa chirped. Sadly it seemed that even this somewhat sizable building would not last long. Shrugging, she couldn’t help but liken the building to a popsicle. Moving her head to the bottom of the skyscraper, Towa playfully stuck her tongue out. Those who could see what she was doing desperately attempted to get away from the windows, but it was far too late. Dragging the tip of her tongue daintily up the face of the building, Towa giddily tried to imagine herself partaking in a refreshing treat. “Mleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!” While Towa had only intended to lick the very surface of the building, her tender taste test had ripped off the entire front half of her substitute popsicle. Glass, metal, and any human not instantly pulped by her slurp were stuck to her tongue, and upon reaching the top of the structure, Towa coiled her tongue back and tasted her haul. While she was slowly warming up to this type of “emergency food,” she still found it to be a far cry from actual treats (and in this case completely lacking the refreshing qualities of an ice cream). Still, Towa knew better than to be rude to a host. Bowing her head, the devil girl smiled happily. “Gochisosama! Very tasty, yes!” Sadly for the surviving half of the skyscraper, Towa’s horns bumped into its shattered body as she bowed, obliterating what was left of the once proud symbol of the sea.

The sun’s last few rays were quickly fading above the horizon, a sign to Towa that she should be on her way back. Lazily pushing herself up, a literal shower of mangled buildings, flattened cars, and copious other debris rained from her body. The entire area had been left a wasteland, its only remaining landmark the shapely crater left by the limber devil’s body. Rising to her full height and stretching blissfully, Towa was about to head back when her mind drifted to the sea behind her. The gentle lapping of the waves and the enticing forms of the massive cargo ships just off the coast served to pique her interest. Perhaps she had time for ONE little trip to the beach.. After all, swimming does a devil good!
