What is Fleur?

Fleur is an acronym that stands for Freedom, Liberation, Equity, Unity, and Respect. Fleur's symbol and name are derived from the asteroid 8 Flora. A member of the Fleur community can be called a Fleuraison, or a Fleurson if you want to be a little silly.

Fleur is in favor of:

  • All queer identities.
  • MOGAI/LIOM.
  • TransID.
  • All forms of multiplicity.
  • All religions.
  • Paraphilias, fetishes, and kinks.

Fleur is not in favor of:

  • Radqueer.
  • Exclusionism.
  • Bigotry and/or harm targeted at non-consenting parties.
  • Abuse targeted at non-consenting parties.
  • Censorship.
  • Xenosatanism, LSDqueer, basedqueer, hypoharmful, and any term which condones or encourages abuse and harm targeted at non-consenting parties.

Fleur is neutral on:

  • Consanguinity.

If a transharmful individual wishes to consider themselves a Fleuraison, they must not knowingly and purposely harm non-consenting parties.

Why is Fleur not in favor of radqueer?

Fleur is not in favor of radqueer because the term was coined by the same individual that coined xenosatanism.

Is there a Fleur emoji code?

Ideally, an emoji code wouldn't be necessary. Sadly, we don't live in an ideal world. 🌷☄️ is the emoji code.

Why create an alternative label to radqueer if you know that being radqueer doesn't automatically make you approve of xenosatanism? Why not continue to use the radqueer label and just make it clear that you're against abuse?

Maybe someday, that's exactly what we'll do. At the moment, it's not something we can easily reconcile within ourselves.

Is Fleur anti-radqueer or not?

The reason that we chose the language "not in favor of" is because it's a complex issue, so we'll try to break it down here. Essentially, we don't have any issues with radqueers who are vehemently against abuse, who understand and defend the necessity of consent, and whose contact stances align with our own. We do take issue with radqueers who are pro-abuse, who claim that consent is unnecessary, and whose contact stances do not align with our own. We understand that being radqueer doesn't automatically make one pro-abuse, and we support those in the radqueer community who are committed to making their community a safer place. However, ourselves and many others are uncomfortable wearing the radqueer label because of those bad actors in the community. This is why we coined Fleur.
