Drenched in your own sweat, you wake up. It is uncomfortably warm. You check your phone what ungodly time nature roused you. 4:05 am it says on the display, whose uncaring brightness blinds you painfully.
“It is the will of the gods!” You can’t help but think that. Her karaoke stream starts in a bit less than two hours. You told yourself that you’d member if you woke up in time for the stream. You go and take a shower. A first wave of drowsiness washes over you as you exit the shower. You shake it off, moving your somewhat heavy feet sluggishly to the kitchen to eat breakfast – bacon and eggs at 4:34 am is certainly not something you’ve done a lot lately. The NEET lifestyle consumed many things and people you used to hold dear, many of which you cannot even recall at this point as depression has taken its toll by permanently clouding your mind. You head out to the balcony to enjoy your breakfast in the fresh morning air.
Kronii is about to be on the telly – and you’re not membered yet. You check the time on the bottom right of your desktop computer’s screen. 4:56 am. That’s plenty of time. You’ve never membered anyone before. You hastily clicking on the blue button labeled “JOIN” whose design always struck you as having been born of some kind of psychological trickery; the confirmation screen takes you by surprise.
Google would like to know your credit card digits and your location. It is 4:57 am. You do not want to, nay cannot, miss the show. You briefly contemplate signing your soul to the devil before you give into the temptation and punch in your personal information that you’d sworn never to provide to FAANG.
You make it and are greeted by the sweet sounds.

You wake up. It is 7:44 am. You missed everything.

You get a phone call from your credit card company, VISA. Your card has been canceled. Kronii is calling to you from outside your window. You clearly hear her voice going “Babe! Come listen to this!” Something feels off about her enthusiasm to sing. Wasn’t she supposed to be apprehensive about singing? Alas, as you hear the bittersweet sounds of Komm Süßer Tod sung by Kronii herself from your balcony, you rush to the origin of the sound. You start falling.

“It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down…”
