if you are here seeing this rentry, you are probably wondering: what the hell is an invisible separator?
not to worry! i will teach you how to use it, and how it enhances your decoration skills (on specifically discord)!

THE INVISIBLE SEPARATOR ⎯ ⭑
﹒so, the invisible separator is a unicode block in latin that is used to separate things, kinda like an invisible comma! it acts like a break (or boundary) in text, though invisible, so although you won't be able to see it in your text, it is there.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE? ⎯ ⭑
﹒well, this is commonly used by people who decorate embeds and other things on discord to prevent webhooks and regular text from deleting the invisible characters used, specifically for starting the first line of text with invisible spaces. sounds annoying it gets deleted, doesn't it?

HOW DO I USE IT? ⎯ ⭑
﹒it's actually not hard at all, though steps can be more complicated depending on what you are doing! i am aware that people mainly use this document for template making on discord, so you'll get all the tips and tricks! let's go through the basic steps then discuss other situations.

BASIC STEP BY STEP ⎯ ⭑
﹒step 1: go to the website itself, and copy the symbol. don't worry about the buttons below.
image of the website, with a red circle on the "copy to clipboard" option
﹒step 2: go to a webhook, or simply your message box, and paste it.

the second image is what it looks like after you paste it.
﹒step 3: grab the invisible spaces from the bottom of my document (or any website with them of your preference), and paste them to your liking.
image of just me putting a random amount of invisible characters then some text to indicate they're there
﹒step 4: you're done technically! you can adjust the amount to your liking of course. this is some examples of what it will look like when you have finished your business and are ready to publish it:

HERE'S WHERE IT'S DIFFERENT ⎯ ⭑
﹒did you know you can do this same exact thing with system tags? how exciting! though, the process is different. you can't use the invisible separator on a line of text that already has pre-existing text there. so, here is how you can add invisible spaces to your system tag.

﹒step 1: (with assumption you've copied the separator) pre-plan your system tag design, which i highly recommend before actually doing the command!
﹒step 2: setup the command in this exact way:

in the second line of text shown where the one line is, paste the invisible separator there.
﹒step 3: GO HAAAAMMMMM! now decoration is in your hands, you can use the desired amount of spaces you want. here are some system tag examples i've done for myself:

and of course, it will show up as you put it:

GENERAL RULES OF THUMB ⎯ ⭑
1 . you can't use the invisible separator on the same line of text usually, as it will not work for the second line, plus is useless since text itself acts like the invisible separator.
2 . in cases where you DO use it in the same line of text, that will be rare, and you'll know when you need it.
3 . you only need one throughout the entire thing! if you start another line of text with only invisible spaces, there is usually no need to add another invisible separator. though, sometimes this does not work.
4 . just add one, no need to add more than one within the same line. i suppose you could if you really wanted to reassure yourself.
5 . this is typically a PC only thing, but sometimes it will work if you add invisible spaces, then go all the way to the start and add your invisible separator.
6 . have fun, be creative!
