Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed an exclusive key case to commemorate the brand's centennial. It is constructed of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is the ideal way to greet a new car owner.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company that takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting, the use of leather that is made from by-products of cattle and sustainable-managed forests, and the unique patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you drive by, displaying its sculptural beauty and power through carefully planned lighting.

https://historydb.date/wiki/Why_Bentley_Smart_Key_Is_Still_Relevant_In_2023 is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance, featured the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of a digital instrument cluster and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be changed from opaque to transparent with the push of the button.

A century after its creation, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of conflict with BMW - celebrated its centenary in the year 2019. Before the pandemic planning took the spotlight, the marque had a number of special events and launches planned to celebrate this significant occasion.

Design

Bentley is known as a premium car manufacturer that produces extravagant and luxurious vehicles. However, even keys stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver, and has a large B' logo to inform everyone that you're a Bentley. It also has the years 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner to become the ultimate Grand Touring car. It comes with two pairs of rear seats that are designed to be reminiscent of luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. A custom heating, air conditioning and ventilation system has been designed to ensure each passenger has the perfect climate control setting.

In addition to a set of refined styling updates, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that can produce 560bhp and 479lb ft of torque. This colossal power is complemented by a new suspension design that offers Bentley's signature hushed ride.

Bentley has launched a new specification for cars built after 2019 to commemorate its centennial. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. The cabin has cross-stitching, and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. A bespoke Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the second that turns on the vehicle. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. This feature helps you get into and out of your vehicle.

The key is made from vegetable tanned leather and takes two days to create each one. The key is cut by hand, shaped, stitched, sealed, and then polished to create a high-end result. It is strong and compact, and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's massive car key, but feels more substantial and premium.

It also comes with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys that are keyless. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob and will shut it off after a few minutes of inactivity, which prevents thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the values of the company that include high-quality craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as modern technology. Its headquarters in Crewe house more than four hundred employees who are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply the skills passed through generations and apply them to the latest in technology in the automotive industry. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. Guests sit at a series of images, referred to "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos ranging from scenic vistas to sporting events - that will inspire them. When each selection is made, a pattern will emerge, which reveals the design and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards which are presented to guests in a hand-crafted key case. Keys can also be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps, which illuminate the door-opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem when they are approaching the vehicle.

https://marvelvsdc.faith/wiki/From_All_Over_The_Web_20_Amazing_Infographics_About_Bentley_Valet_Key says it takes roughly 500 man-hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to embrace modern tech. The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, rather than relying on sensors built-in to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spots.

https://wikidot.win/wiki/A_Brief_History_Of_Bentley_Arnage_Key_Fob_In_10_Milestones displayed its Mulliner personalization abilities with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. https://humanlove.stream/wiki/Bentley_Flying_Spur_Key_101_A_Complete_Guide_For_Beginners .O. Edition pays homage to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars come with an item key that shows an original 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
