Is GGZ part of Honkaiverse?

Let's start with what GGZ is. Guns Girl Z or Houkai Gakuen 2 is the third miHoYo game, and the first game that has a full-fledged plot. Thanks to GGZ, miHoYo gained some kind of fame, and then began to expand and gain more and more popularity with the development of new games.

Back in 2014, miHoYo planned to make their games in one Universe - the Honkai Universe. But as we all know, they like to change any of their decisions over time. So, for example, Honkai Impact 3rd should be a spin-off of GGZ, judging by the early manga. And Genshin Impact was supposed to be a spin-off of HI3rd. Therefore, after so much time, GGZ may no longer be part of the Honkai Universe.

And now, let's deal with this question: does GGZ really relate to Honkaivers?
In order not to go into the structure of Honkaiverse once again, I recommend getting acquainted with this topic [by yourself] (https://rentry.co/HonkaiThesaurus ), and then return to this article.

So, when you finally got acquainted with the basics, you can proceed with reading this article.

What's the difference?

The basis of the Honkaiverse is imaginary energy, and also the quantum is no less important. However, there is nothing like that in GGZ. And although there is an imaginary space there, it has a completely different nature:

In Honkaiverse, imaginary space is the origins of the universe.
Source: Chapter 25-EX Also, Herrscher of Void can create imaginary spaces in HI3rd as well.

It turns out that we already have one big contradiction connected with the basis of the universe. But what about the Sea of Quanta and the quanta? What are the differences between them in HI3rd and GGZ?

As mentioned earlier, the Sea of Quanta simply does not exist in GGZ. But why do some people think the opposite? And all because of the X-10 experiment, which is related to the quantum in HI3rd.
Let's start with the laboratory where the experiment was conducted:
Translation: An abandoned city of underwater laboratories has been discovered in the coastal zone of Changkong City. Currently, it has been proven that this is one of the experimental bases built for the purpose of using Houkai by people. According to investigations, the laboratory was originally located in the Okhotsk Sea area in Russia, and later, for unknown reasons, appeared in the waters near the city of Changkong. Currently, the biggest thought is related to the experiment with Houkai on humans conducted in this laboratory. Currently, the laboratory is in a state of spatial instability and is included in the list of blockade zones.

And here, it would seem, it is possible to cling to the state of the laboratory. However, the spatial instability is associated with the Houkai, which was used in the experiment:
Translation: The change in the properties of space-time caused by the Houkai source is called a "reality-distorting field". Under the influence of a distorting field, the physical laws of the space-time in which it is located can be changed in a bizarre way, so that any supernatural phenomena can occur. Examples of such phenomena are phenomena such as parallel measurements, time rollback, etc.

The source of Houkai is mentioned upon here, so let's clarify this as well:
Translation: Under certain circumstances, the Houkai energy converges and concentrates around one point of energy, which is called the Houkai source. Unlike Houkai energy, Houkai sources are not mobile and usually cause massive Houkai in one place, which then disappears when the energy of the Houkai source is exhausted.

It turns out that the quantum has nothing to do with the state of the laboratory. And what about the experiment itself? As mentioned earlier, it is not connected with quantum, but with Houkai. But! Here people still like to attribute the Quantum Sea, but literally above in the description it says that the laboratory is located in the real sea. If you are interested in the events of the experiment itself, then you can see the English translation here.

In addition, Bronya is also interested in whether the state of the laboratory is related to Houkai:
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: A week ago... Is the destruction of spacetime related to Houkai?

And to top it off, the files read by Mei also say about Houkai:
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: The girl named Seele Vollerei completely controlled the Houkai energy, but the experiment failed, Houkai energy gone wild, the experiment body went violently... then transformed into the quantum state.

Well, I'll add a little more to make sure:
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: Mei, something is wrong, the Houkai disorder is starting to shake up...

What about Seele's disappearance? Is it probably connected with the Sea of Quanta? Not at all, even in Honkai's Lecture there is not a single mention of the Sea. However, a common manga for HI3rd and GGZ is used there: Azure Waters. And then some may say that here! This is where the Sea is mentioned! In the eighth chapter, look! And... In fact, no Sea is mentioned:
Did the translators deceive us? Unfortunately, not for the first time.

But what about Seele's quantum state?
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: Nevertheless, she has been transformed into a quantum state, and even her own existence cannot be maintained without an observer.

This is further confirmed:
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: If she is in a quantum state... This means that Seele has turned into a ghost...
Source: vn Memory X-10 Translation: Thus, she can exist only when there is an observer.
Source: vn Memory X-10<-
Translation: Only by making her believe that she is being watched and that she still exists, she will not disappear.

As for the quantum state in HI3rd... Well, it was never explained, although it was mentioned a couple of times. However, it clearly doesn't work the way it does in GGZ, since Seele never needed an observer to exist.

Hua

However, despite all of the above contradictions, people still like to attribute HG2 to Honkaiverse because of the following:
Source: https://hg2.bluealice.xyz/#main-27-4 But what's wrong with that?
Let's start with Hua from HI3rd. Yes, she was really engaged in the E.M.B.E.R. project, but soon abandoned it, because civilization was not yet strong enough, and the project only accelerated the appearance of Honkai beasts. In addition, the Current Era has never reached the level of the Previous Era:
Source: Schicksal Memory Bank: Authority Source: Chapter 32 However, even before that, it was said that Hua, who was seen in GGZ, did not abandon this project and reached a level comparable to the previous civilization.

In addition, it is mentioned that the ending of the parallel timelines seen was bad:

Thus, they differ not only in the structure of the Universe, but also in the description of two characters that people like to connect. In addition, in the video itself, because of which GGZ is associated with Honkaiverse, it was not clearly stated that GGZ belongs to the same Universe. However! CEO also mentions the Metaverse, which in cosmology is the totality of an infinite set of Universes. Therefore, we can say that GGZ is in the same Metaverse as all miHoYo games, but not in the same Universe as Honkaiverse.
