There are Joshu's in every country. They are ubiquitous in the land of Viti. They are a separate species from humans, while being just as intelligent and sapient. One of the special traits of Joshus is that they are all born with pure white fur, but as they grow up they slowly integrate with their surrounding culture and develop biophysiological changes to better fit in. That helmet on Warshu? That's not a helmet, that's his actual face. His eyes are in the dark part of the "mask". Although Warshu is on the extreme end of a Joshu's biophysiological integration. Most Joshus still have most of the defining features of a regular Joshu you would see in the lands of /mayo/. However, these changes would be full changes in fur color, additional strips or coloration, development of unique and novel hair growths, in more extreme cases this can also include full on body changes, growing full on bone on their face as a helmet, or losing all of their flesh, blood, skin and fur in the most extreme case. Joshus have a naturally high fertility and will produce a litter of pups during childbirth, however due to their long sexual maturation period, they do not produce enough offspring to completely overwhelm the human population in terms of numbers. You are able to know that a Joshu has reached sexual maturity when their cultural physiological changes have completely formed and have fully taken effect.

Joshus are an incredibly intelligent and hardy species, being able to survive almost everywhere, but they are also hyper social creatures. They crave social interaction, and generally have good temperament. They also have natural pheromones that makes people more comfortable around them, and generally gives a slight serotonin boost when interacted with. This has been known to cause certain uncouth individuals to kidnap and torture Joshus for a liquified variant of this pheromone, but this has since been outlawed when the Joshus nearly took everyone's mayo away over this issue.

Little is known about what actually happens with the Joshus in the land of /mayo/ but most Joshus just brush aside the topic, or say "The lab is doing great as usual!"

Joshus are an interesting specimen, and are one of the many sapient species to inhabit Viti. Their biology is still studied to this day due to how drastically their body can change before sexual maturity, but this is done with the consent of all Joshus involved, ever since /mayo/ and all the other countries of Viti signed the Joshu-/mayo/ accords, granting Joshu's the same rights as any other human species.
