Okay so im gonna just rant about knives chau and how much ill defend her till the ends of time to fill this up heeijrrjjrri..

I love Knives Chau being. Just being. The sheer fact that she exists in the narrative is enough to make me feral. She’s so unapologetically emotional, so wonderfully teenage and intense in the exact way people are always trying to shame girls for. And yet she does it all anyway. The dramatics, the crying, the impulsive decisions—she throws herself into every moment with her whole heart. It’s not just entertaining, it’s validating. Watching her be all that and more makes me feel like maybe it’s okay that I’m a little too much sometimes too.

I love that Knives doesn’t shrink herself. Even when she’s hurting, even when she’s humiliated, she doesn’t pretend to be detached or unbothered. She feels everything so openly, it almost hurts to watch—but in the best way. She doesn’t try to make herself palatable or cool, she just exists as this whirlwind of feeling and energy and awkward confidence, and I love her for it. She tries so hard. She gets her heart broken and still roots for the people she cared about. She screams, she kisses, she fights, she grieves. There’s no version of Knives that’s halfway, and that kind of intensity is beautiful to me.

And the thing is, she grows. But she never stops being herself. Even when she lets go of Scott, it’s not because she changes who she is—it’s because she realizes she deserves better. And that realization doesn’t make her bitter or cynical, it makes her stronger. She doesn’t harden; she evolves. Knives Chau being is proof that teenage girls don’t have to be quiet or perfect or put-together to matter. She’s messy and flawed and incredible, and I will always love her just for being!!!

And yes this did take more than 30 seconds.. took me like 20 whole minutes ranting..
