LAZBLL - Lazy ZBLL

Using these algs, you will always reduce to one of the following cases:

  • Pure 2GLL
  • L3C Commutator
  • (Mirrored) Basic OLL

As you might be able to see from this, LAZBLL reduces to Tripod+edges permuted.
Most cubers will already know 50% of the cases!
This set can only be used when you get a 1x1x2 block on the top layer. This is mainly because it wouldn't be better than OLL/PLL or COLL/EPLL otherwise. Therefore, the goal of this set is to preserve the 1x2x2 block while permuting the edges. This special approach also allows for an average movecount of only roughly 17.5!

While reading this, keep in mind that the only things that matter are the Tripod and the edges! You can do this with any “OLL” case, as long as you have the 1x2x2 block solved.

Recognition system

  1. If there is no 1x2x2 block, find out whether the 1x1x2 block could be AUFed to Lf or Rf.
  2. Search for the edge that would form the 1x2x2 block.
  3. Note whether the edge next to the 1x1x2 block is adjacent, opposite or matching the corner sticker.
  4. This information is enough to identify the case.
