Beginner shopping list for art supplies
This is touched upon later down, but I figured linking it first was important.
If you are going digital, life becomes more difficult, as drivers and other settings and become a problem
But what if I already do digital and have the hardware down?
Grab a hentai image you like, drop the settings to 1/3 on that image, and trace over it. Do 3 of these a day minimum, it helps with muscle memory and some other things.
May I advertise my commissions here? Can I link my other social media?
Yes, there is a flair for that! Please feel free to use this flair but DO NOT ADVERTISE PIECES OUTSIDE OF THIS OR POST PRICES PUBLICLY ON THIS SUB! We are primarily a learning subreddit.
Do people here teach private lessons?
If someone wishes to, they are more than welcome to take on students privately.
What should I be starting with?
Look below
Betty Edwards, the Author of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain equates drawing to writing. You can learn it, even with a one week class for fundamentals, but you must learn the parts of a sentence before writing a book. In that same sense, without a starting foundation, you will struggle to draw hentai without knowing how to draw basic shapes correctly. Here are some common sources which will GREATLY aid in the process of learning:
BOOKS:
At the yarrr section , in pages where you see [libgen] I personally recomennd to use it since it has a good speed download
Drawabox Just the site is a a book, a subreddit, and a youtube channel. so its going here
TOOLS:
While you should just start with a .5mm PEN and/or .9mm Pencil along with cheap as hell printer paper, here are some more tools, and what comic artists use.

My personal recommendations are below. This is based on my experiences as a new student, and from working in a tattoo shop. Before you ask no I am not a tattoo artist, I help in the back/business end in exchange for art lessons.
To start off, you should be tracing in my opinion, along with your other lessons. Trace something you would like to draw, and trace something simple as well. LINE WORK ONLY IN TRACING, shading and such is later. It will aid in muscle memory and understanding contours and points. USE TAPE TO HOLD DOWN THE PAPER....don't be like me early on.
Not required, just useful.
I use these ones, but also this: Pigma Microns
Try out both, see what you like.
For when you graduate from printer paper. Yes their are many many many different types of paper. They hold color and ink and other things differently....it's confusing for a new person if you ask me.
They make a few different types, but I love this one. I never leave home without it.
Mobile Every Day Carry Sketch Book
Walmart has them cheaper, but just CARRY ONE ON YOU DAILY TO SKETCH.

Lastly, Draw every day. Draw from reference, practice. Learn to look at shapes, and practice!
