Dear tok,
Sometimes in life, we meet people online who feel more real than anyone we've ever met in person. And that’s exactly what happened with you. You were one of the most important people in my life, even if we never met face-to-face. Our friendship was something that made my days better, and the connection we had always felt genuine and strong. I remember all the times we stayed up talking about random stuff, laughing at silly we've said, venting about life, or just checking in on each other. It didn’t matter how far apart we were in the real world, because emotionally, you were always close. That’s why it hurt so much when we had our falling out. I kept replaying our last conversations in my head, wondering what I could’ve done differently, what I should have said, or how I could’ve made things better before everything broke. It was like losing a part of myself, and I didn’t know how to fix it or if I even could.

When we stopped talking, it felt like a piece of my heart had gone quiet. I didn’t realize how much your presence meant until it was gone. There were so many moments where I wanted to message you, just to say hi, just to ask how you were doing, but something always stopped me. Maybe it was fear. Fear that I had hurt you too much. Fear that you wouldn’t want to hear from me. Or maybe I was just ashamed of how things ended. Even when we weren’t talking, I still cared. I still hoped you were okay. I still missed you. Sometimes I’d go back and look at old messages and remember how we used to be—how we would spam emojis, tease each other, and talk like we had known each other forever. I missed having that safe place where I could be myself. You understood me in a way that most people didn’t. And it was painful to think I had lost that forever.

But then, something changed. Somehow, we found our way back to each other. I don’t even know how to explain how that felt. It was like breathing again after holding my breath for too long. Getting to talk to you again, even just a little, gave me this warm feeling I hadn’t felt in a long time. It reminded me that sometimes, even broken things can be fixed. That even if we mess up, there’s still a chance to make things right. I was scared at first, worried that things wouldn’t be the same or that you were only talking to me out of pity or awkwardness. But the more we talked, the more I realized how much I missed you—not just our chats, but you as a person. Your humor, your kindness, your support, your random thoughts about life and everything in between. It felt like something I didn’t even know I needed until I had it back.

I know we both made mistakes. I know I said things or acted in ways that might have hurt you, and for that, I’m truly sorry. I don’t want to go back to who I was when things went wrong. I want to grow from it. I want to be a better friend to you, someone who listens more, understands better, and doesn’t let pride or fear ruin something as meaningful as what we have. You’re not just another person I met online—you’re someone who helped me through some of my darkest times. Someone who made me laugh when I felt like crying. Someone who reminded me that I wasn’t alone, even when the world felt heavy. That kind of connection doesn’t just disappear, and I’m grateful every day that we got a second chance.

Sometimes, it feels weird to explain to other people how someone I’ve never met in real life can matter this much to me. But you do. You always did. You saw sides of me that I never showed anyone else. And even when we weren’t speaking, you were still part of my thoughts. That’s why being able to talk to you again feels so special. I know things might not ever go back to exactly how they were, and maybe that’s okay. Maybe we can build something even stronger now. Something based on forgiveness, understanding, and all the lessons we learned during the time apart. You’re not just an online friend—you’re someone who has become a big part of my heart. And I want to protect that this time.

There are still days where I think about how close we came to losing everything, and it makes me want to hold onto you tighter—not in a possessive way, but in a grateful one. Because losing you showed me how much you truly meant to me. And getting you back reminded me that second chances are real, and they’re worth fighting for. I want to keep growing with you, learning from you, and sharing little pieces of our lives the way we always did. I don’t care that we live miles apart or that we’ve never met in person. What we have is real. It’s honest. And it matters.

I know this is a long message, and maybe it sounds a little dramatic, but I mean every word. I don’t want to go back to silence or distance. I want to keep building this friendship with you because you’re worth it. You’ve always been worth it. Even when things were hard, even when I was scared or confused, deep down I always wanted to fix things. And now that we’ve started to patch things up, I’m holding onto that with everything I’ve got. You’ve helped me smile again, helped me feel seen again, and I just want you to know that I don’t take that for granted. Not one bit.

If we ever argue again—and let’s be real, we might because that’s just life—I promise, i know we can handle it better. I promise to talk things through, and to fight for our friendship instead of letting it slip away. You’re too important to lose again. I’m not perfect, and I probably never will be, but I care about you deeply and genuinely. I hope we can keep growing together, even with all the ups and downs. Because through everything, even the silence and the pain, my heart always had a space reserved just for you.

Thank you for giving me another chance. Thank you for still being here.
