misuzu hataya . i don't know much of her lore bc i only read the wiki tbh ,, she's generally this "motherly" type person - or atleast she presents herself that way . she tends to her classmates whenever necessary and she's especially affectionate towards temari , treating her like a little sister , often getting concerned for temari due to tema's tendencies to overwork herself . she has a slow - moving personality and a calm voice with droopy eyes .

her dreamy attitude can be perceived as "laziness" by others sometimes or even a lack of ambition . however this is not the case as misuzu is a hard worker and wants to succeed on her own terms , at her own pace - she hates being rushed . however this makes others view her as selfish or difficult . her personality hides these inner thoughts
^^^ the reason she wants to do things at her own is was because , she used to be a " straight - laced honour student " and over work herself too - perhaps this is why she's so worried for temari so often . she had overexerted herself in the past and began to suffer a lot , and so giving up on that lifestyle , she became the dreamy girl she is today , embracing herself and doing things at her own pace . she is also quite the self - righteous type - her main statistic being arrogance during her first producer - idol evaluation .

she used to be one of the top idols second to temari and above a girl called rinha . the three of them debuted as a group called "SyngUp!" which had unfortunately later on disbanded due to differences in direction , despite misuzu being the one keeping the group together . misuzu took this hard , especially because it had meant she lost her friendship with rinha and temari , the two people she had loved so very dearly . with rinha transferring to another school and cutting the two off completely , and temari moving on , misuzu was the only one who had still found it hard to let go of their past as SyngUp .
she still holds on to the faint hope that someday , some way , the three will reunite , even if temari has made it clear she's moved on . finding it extremely difficult to let go of that past , misuzu often chases after temari . the two of them , in reality , feel as if the other is angry with them and blame themselves for the sudden break up .

despite misuzu's talent , she has a poor reputation , often skipping practice , sleeping during lessons , and showing a lack of effort in group activites . she does things not only at her own pace - but only when she wants to , being notorious for her habit of sleeping anywhere . this includes during meetings . even sena , the girl who had scouted her in her new group , struggles with discipline towards her .
misuzu knows that she's perceived this way but doesn't plan on changing herself any time soon - she believes that when it matters , she can perform almost perfectly , and she hasn't been wrong , not so far she hasn't .

adding on to her personality , she can have sudden mood changes ( i believe this is due to her " doing things on my own accord " type mindset ) , getting determined suddenly and even managing to scare sena . she tends to get anxious when she is unable to take care of someone else , this being one of the main reasons why SyngUp!'s disbandment and temari's distance made her feel the way she did .
