Important info, read first!!
- All credits go to Anadius and his work, this is just a guide for those who feel lost after the program was shut down last year
- This is for educational purposes, and is a guide for those who have paid for all of the DLCs they're about to download.
- Only use this guide if you are the legal owner of the games, this is just a guide for if you lost your files and are having a hard time retrieving them.
- This guide assumes that you already have the sims 4 installed. If you do not, install it through the EA app before we begin.
Guide:
Pre-Requisites:
- Please have any preferred ad blocker installed
- For chromium users, uBlock Origin Lite works very well
- For FireFox users, uBlock Origin Full works very well
- A stable internet connection
- Directly downloading files shouldn't alert your internet service provider to anything nefarious, however if you still have a fear I'd recommend using Cloudflare Warp
- On chrome, go to
chrome://settings/security?search=secure+, set protection to "No Protection" or else chrome will block the downloads we need.
Getting the game if you don't already have it:
- Download the EA App with the Sims 4 for MacOS.
Getting the DLC Patcher
- Click this to download the Sims 4 Patcher tool. This will install any and all dlcs that you want.
- Click this to download the DLC unlocker that you'll need to run after the updater. This also lets you use custom DLC files if the updater didn't install them already.
- Note that the DLC unlocker should only be used if at the end of the guide your DLC do not show up in the sims game.
Running the Updater
- Extract the updater files to your downloads folder
- Double click the .exe and it should find your sims folder automatically.
- Note that it will ask if you have a cracked or legit version of the game. Legit version is free last I checked so i'd just stick with that.
- If you don't have the sims installed, the updater can install it for you.
- Select all DLCS in which you want to download, or click select all.
- Wait for the install
IF your dlcs didn't show up when you launched the game,
- Extract the dlc unlocker file
- open the folder and double click the
setup.batorsetupfile, it will say its not a secure file, run anyway. - In the terminal window,
- Type 1 to install the unlocker
- Type 2 to update your game's config
- Select 21 for the sims 4 option.
Congrats! You should now be able to select "run offline" and play your game. If you're seeking more, continue reading!
- Select 21 for the sims 4 option.
What do I do if...
A DLC I want isn't available through the updater quite yet?
With adblocker enabled, go to this site. Check if your desired DLC is there, if it is...
- Download your desired DLC
- Select the zip file and click extract all
- Open the new folder you just extracted to
- Open your "The Sims 4 Packs" folder in another window
- Drag folders from the window opened in the first step, to the window opened in the second step. Merge folders if asked. Replace files if asked.
- Do not rename DLC Folders!!!
- Run the DLC Unlocker script and update game config for sims 4, voila!

Also forgot to mention that sometimes dlc filenames are like EP25 instead of like "Enchanted By Nature" so you may have to google which one your desired pack is.
All of my DLCs suddenly wiped?
- Run the updater
- Run the DLC unlocker and select update game config for sims 4
- Should be good.
I don't want to run the unlocker every time I open the game.
- Uninstall your official game
- Run the updater and let it install for you.
