The first thing I really like about usogui is the fact that Baku outwardly states he isn't a good person, and Kaji adds on the fact he's not good "or bad." A lot of the time he's seen as a cold person but in later chapters (Specifically Battleship & Protoporos Arcs, Also in a lot of other arcs but these are the most noticeable) he's shown to care deeply for his friends and values them a lot more than others in the series seem to think. In the past people have seen him as someone who can "dispose" of his friends as necessary and use them as pieces for his gamble. But in reality, this story was basically just gossip because of an incident that occured in which people ASSUMED Baku used his friend to win a gamble, when in reality his friend gambled his life on PURPOSE and without Baku's knowledge. The way the author includes all of this even though the rumour was told in early chapters, and the actual story took place in Chapters 265 - 279 as well as Chapters 310 - 323 shows how the Author had properly planned out the story and that small detail people would've missed.
