REFERENCE: i actually made this so i could commission an artist (for the first time too!). it was good motivation to take up drawing again. i had a lot of this planned out in my head b4, but writing it all down exposed a few gaps. thats why i added a disclaimer that the info wasnt set in stone. the reference says hes 25, but a lot of my art of him actually depicts him younger. his age and the year hes in are a bit transient honestly. i also had to use a base for cyrus (just a blank human bod) bc i was so out of practice u_u

CYANCEES COMMISSION: what i used to motivate myself to actually make a cyrus ref! id been following this artist for a while for his jojo content so i was happy to support him. he uses cyancees on most platforms, so if you like his style then go and give him some love, even if you cant commission him

COMIC: i printed off a bunch of comic templates for fun, ive always imagined Cyrus' lore working best as a comic so i decided to try my hand at it irl. If u dont get the joke, hes so high off his mind he keeps forgetting about the fire alarm going off. he gets high a lot. in fact he is addicted to weed, nothing else makes the world disappear or make his self-inflicted loneliness taste sweeter as good as (too much) thc does

VENDING MACHINE DINNER: cyrus prefers to spend as little time home as possible. with an abusive father and a depressed mother and a constant air of tension whichever room hes in, there isnt much for him in that shitty little apartment. so he spends days and nights outside on the streets, showering in gyms and eating peoples leftovers and getting high to pass the time. but sometimes he gets lucky and has a few bucks to actually buy some food.

TYPE 3 FUN: rarely being sober and having anger issues and having a loose moral compass sometimes means you find yourself speeding down a highway going well over the speed limit, convinced that if you dont risk your life like this, Something Bad will happen. i know he looks scared and hopped up and distinctly unwell, but someday he'll look back on this and laugh!

SNAPSHOT: oh cyrus... that coolguy attitude doesnt save you from gunshots! at least its given him a proper facial expression. cyrus is definitely no stranger to a skirmish (if anything he'll come out on top!) but you can't rlly play around with crazed gunmen. i know he has a gun too, but thats rlly more of a brag, MAYBE a last resort. too bad other people arent as hesitant to bring a gun to a fistfight... heres the original reference!

SEVENTEEN: the story i plan to (eventually) write for cyrus will take place from when hes 17 to when he's 27. sure, he's never really been coasting thru life, but 17 is where shit really hits the fan. im trying to push cyrus' facial expressions and use different poses bc i dont want every artwork of him to look the same. sure he doesnt emote as much as he should, but that doesnt mean his face is locked on one state 4ever! this is actually a redraw of an adventure time titlecard. i might b biased bc i love the show so much, but the titlecards are so detailed and beautiful, and despite barely showing for 2 seconds, theres so much artistry and meaning behind them. this is the one i redrew!

SMOKE SPOT: one good thing about having so much free time, legs made for walking, and a hobby that requires an isolated spot is that u find some pretty places away from civilization. this is a lowkey hobby of mine, as well, since theres a trail near my place i like to hang out in when it gets warm. and apparently cyrus thinks its a pretty good spot for a nap (its really not...)! original photo is 'graffiti yard' by rebecca skinner!

STUPID PARTY: i hate parties and so does cyrus. the forced interaction, the lack of privacy (and we all know how much cyrus loves his isolation), the loud music you have no control over, the food that you didnt pick yourself, the warm bodies pressed against you constantly... every so often he gets dragged to some fuckass party he doesnt care about, and every time hes reminded how much happier he is roughing it alone. plus, it takes away from precious weed time. if he'd smoked good ol mj at the same time the party started, he'd be high off his ass at this point! reference photo here

SHOPLIFTING IS COOL: why pay for something when can just steal it? worst case scenario is that you'll get a criminal record. they give you 3 square meals a day in prison anyway! this is one of the few bad things cyrus does that is (or would be) justified (if it wasnt alcohol he was shoplifting). he does swipe his fair share of actual food though, on the few days he actually feels like eating. but its a greater thrill to steal something as sought-after as vodka or whiskey. I couldnt find the original image this time around, but heres a copy anyway

DO NOT ATTEMPT: no guys! his idea to drill shut a corked wine bottle makes so much sense and is totally coherent! there was zero blood in the aftermath of this picture, and even if there was, he definitely handled it like a rugged soldier instead of stumbling around a stranger's houseparty covered in blood. honestly, drunk cyrus isnt as fun as stoned cyrus, but at least itll make for a funny story once he sobers up (when hes stoned, he just turns into a philosophical audiophile)! once again i couldnt find the original photo, pinterest just hates properly crediting creators @_@

GO WITH THE FLOW: when you see someone overdose on the streets and see their body rot for a few days because nobody cares about a homeless junkie, you learn that maybe you shouldnt get too attached to your environment. or. i mean. when ur a super cool chill badass coolguy, you just go with the flow and let every major event wash over you like it means nothing. wait, no. i mean that its actually super hip to not care about anything, nihilism is totally in right now, and the constant desire for isolation and to live in a vacuum is what every teen boy wants. uhm. well. tldr; whatever happens, happens. its too much work to care anyway. WASTING MY POTENTIAL: i didnt think of sharing this one initially. i drew it after a long night of trying to make this one artpiece work (and failing). so i deleted it and started from scratch, producing this. i shared it with some friends and to my surprise they liked it, so im sharing it here now. looking @ it now, i like the stylization and the simplicity. im also proud of my lettering. maybe i work best when im frustrated and tired. this is a redraw of this sticker sheet by @danielcalmdown

LITTLE FREAK ON THE WALL: this one is more abt me than cyrus, but its true! hes my little brainchild freak, and if u wanna be my friend u better get used to hearing about him a lot. he does mean a lot to me, even if i like making his life miserable. and yes im high in this. cyrus wld want that <3 edit of a comic by nyastche

OUTFITS N BACKGROUNDS: trying new outfits, trying new backgrounds, and somehow that took 9 hours... i tweaked out over this a lotttt, and i kept going back to fix tiny mistakes. i was using my reference photo, as, u guessed it, an actual reference instead of just tracing it lol. i got to add details that werent there in the og pic and didnt have to worry too much abt if what i was doing perfectly matched or if it was actually uggo and ill-fitting. the ref photo is joey lawrence's poster vers of the 'Nothing My Love Cant Fix' cover psst.. ignore the two month gap, i HAVE been drawing my boy, but those were collab pieces that i'll put in here once the other person finishes his part ^_^

SOME KIND OF FUCKING JERK OFF: this nerd deserves to get beat up for that bullshit, honestly. i thought i'd struggle more with this, but it came easily to me. that nerd is nobody in particular, probably because he's such a loser. one of these days i'll figure out how to make my own font, and i wont have to rewrite all the text myself (and DONT say i can just use an existing font bc i DONT LIKE them!). the shirt and jacket textures were from ibispaintX's 'material' supply, i effervescently felt that it fit with the 60's era of the og comic, which was done on february 25, 1960 by ernie bushmillier tho of course the dialogue was edited

HOPE: too miserable to change his life but too tired to end it himself. its easier to dick around and hope someones ends it all for you, plus people pay less attention to a tragic accident than a tragic suicide. unless of course you see a lovely sweet streetcat in which case yayyy :3 I liked ghe shading technique i used, which comprised entirely of ibisPaintX's Net brush and some lazy brushstrokes. not that it saved much time, because this took OVER TWENTY SIX HOURS!!! argh... and to think i wanted to draw cyrus' lore out in comic format...

WHAT YOU THOUGHT WOULD HAPPEN: cyrus may have a tendency to be violent or petty, but in his one-off day-to-day interactions he's actually normal! or he tries to be. no matter what he says, its always taken the wrong way, or said at the wrong time, or directed at the wrong person. like everyone has conspired against him and agreed to take him in bad faith exclusively. everyone hates him, but he'd really rather people just say they hate him instead of throwing him mean glares, "i'm not upset"s and silent treatments. yes he has autism why do you ask. based off this image i really like

ARTFIGHT ATTACKS 2026

ARTFIGHT ATTACK BY GREMLINsBRAINspace: I posted a zombie version of cyrus for funsies, mostly to fill out my character roster, and got actually got an attack! the blue lineart adds a lot, so maybe i should start colouring my lineart a similiar way. its also fun to imagine cyrus dragging himself from the ground, undead, and deciding to go to a bar. i only added zombie cyrus to fill out my roster, im glad ppl actually want to attack him!

FAILED FRIENDSHIP TEST: an artfight attack on wheredidalltheusersgo. locked in on this character bc I'd just bought a Chuck Berry tape, so 'Johnny B Goode' was already in my mind. obviously, 'connor' =/= 'goode', but cyrus would be more peeved about it than me. felt bad that 3 of the 4 panels were of cyrus, so i put all my skillz in2 johnny's panel.

ALL BUDDY-BUDDY BY WHEREDIDALLTHEUSERSGO: what if my oc interacted with other people's ocs and he had one million friends and two million fanarts.... what a beautiful world... also this revenge came like. the same day 0_0 so i was def surprised. so glad to see cyrus' music hangups dont stop johnny from being Mr Sunshine and Rainbows hehe

REVENGE BY SILLYGAYFOX ON INSTA: this was a revenge piece! a simpler attack but still so so appreciated <3 the hair is done pretty accurately, even tho i've been told its hard to copy

CYRUS N MILLIE BY BENX.ES ON TIKTOK: one of TWO cyrus attacks i got today! i love cyrus' face here, its more pouty than how i usually do him but i think it looks great. AND MY MILLIE IS HERE! with her big big eyes and black velvet fur :3 it works out bc cyrus is a cat guy (he likes siamese cats bc they have interesting colours)! im also a fan of the lineless style here, i cant remember the last time i even attempted lineless art.

ZOMBIE GUY BY CYANCEES: HOLY FUCKING PEAKKKK its wild to see an artist u like draw your oc... yes i commissioned this artist b4 but who gafff its still awesome! cyrus looks so cute here it really hide his aura of malaise <3 and i love zombie cyrus here too, its great when cuter artstyles have a fuckton of blood.

CYRUS BY LITTLEMSMUFFIE: this may be the week of the cyrus @.@ i love his big big eyes, TECHNICALLY in unfiltered reality they are just light brown, but i like making them yellow even if its mary-sue, bc see how pretty he is now! i wasnt going to attack this artist just bc i had so much on my plate already, but now i WILL >:) get ready >:))

VAMPIRE REFERENCE IN A MINOR KEY BY BEEWITCHED-ART: every new cyrus attack gave an angel their wings <3 sometimes i get more excited to attack certain people bc i know if they want to revenge, theyll go for cyrus whos my only human oc, and yet it FLOORS me everytime it happens! this one is based off Will Wood's 'In Case I Make It' album. its colourpicked from the album, and the stars and moon eyes are also design elements. it was super well thought-out, and the idea of cigarette smoke having sparkles is awesomesauce and i want to draw more of that

TWO BROS FOR YAVINOK: i searched up 'stoner' on ArtFight and i saw a red guy with liberty spikes. so i HAD to add another character to my growing list. it was also an excuse to draw cyrus! there was gonna be a third character who i also found by looking up 'stoner', but i wanted to get this done today and since i'd already started on James, i decided to exclude her so i cld draw cyrus... sorry women... i dont draw shirtless guys or liberty spikes so i struggled A LOT with James' design, but i got it in the end ^_^ the img in James' speech bubble is Birth of a Galaxy by Max Ernst and Cyrus is thinking abt the spilled milk gif from spongebob

CYRUS BY MARINEBLUEHATO: SO MANY CYRUSES! SO MANY CYRUSLINGS!! his hair is longer here, and by coincidence i also made cyrus' hair longer in the prev artwork. he isnt one for haircuts and... its fun to draw :3 this attack came out super cute, and it makes me want to practice a simplified/chibi design of my OCs. which will mostly be of cyrus (im not sure how i'd simplify my fursona) but who gaf? he deserves it :3

BLEOOOOD BY RORY-EXE: the coloured pencils look so awesome in this, it adds so much to the grungy vibes i was going for. i also appreciate his arm falling off (you can see it thru the rip in his jacket), thats a super cool detail! i also like that his teeth r so so big in this, its like hes infected with smthn

CYRUS REVENGE!!! BY WINDSONG-4: the artist apologized for fancying up cyrus' hair but i think cyrus has never looked more well-kempt and pretty <3 he looks like hes glowing, a direct comparison between how i draw him and this would be funny hehe

BRAAIINNNNSSSS BY DEADBUGGG: a traditional attack! i miss drawing in my sketchbook... so nostaligic... this attack was submitted on the very last day of artfight so i was very surprised. his face looks awesome here, and i love the grime n drool on his teeth! yay gore of my comfort character! yay!!!

SECRET AGENT IN THERE: this was a piece for @chamy-melo on tumblr! using their oc Asker (they/them). made this one abt cyrus' pranoid tendencies when hes under the influence. this took a super long time but i had a blast planning this out. i rlly like comics!

WIZARD EYES: drew this one while stoned! i took a pic of myself to show my bff how red my eyes were, and liked the pose enough to redraw it. idk how i feel about the hands or how i gave cyrus a walkman instead of the phone from the og pic, but its not my fault cyrus wl dnever use a smartphone. but i do rlly like it! it was all done while stoned, so to honour that im not gonna edit it. even tho i want it 2 b clearer that its the relfection of a mirror, just like the og pic.
