Privacy Policy for MastoDino

MastoDino is a third-party client for the Mastodon social network. This policy explains how the app handles information.

No Server, No Accounts

MastoDino does not operate its own server and does not require you to create an account with us. The app connects directly, from your device, to the Mastodon server (instance) that you choose and log into.

On-Device Processing

Features such as feed ranking, translation, and reading history are computed and stored locally on your iPhone. This data is not transmitted to us and we do not have access to it.

Information Handled by Your Mastodon Instance

When you log in and use MastoDino, your posts, follows, and other activity are sent to and stored by the Mastodon server (instance) you selected, according to that instance's own privacy policy. MastoDino does not control or have access to that data beyond what is needed to display it in the app.

Analytics and Tracking

MastoDino does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Children's Privacy

MastoDino is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
