mireille (you can call me miri if that feels easier.)
i go by she/che/deer pronouns, though sometimes it feels right to use it when i’m not quite here. i don’t mind either way, i usually just ask for gentleness. i think of myself as something between a person and a memory.
i don’t talk much, but i listen very carefully. i keep track of little things. i like to write everything down so nothing gets lost.
my sense of self feels like it came from fragments: bits of violet evergarden, lauma, your name, mitsuba sousuke, horimiya, yuki nagato, nagisa furukawa and the dreamlike melancholy of nagi no asukara. maybe also from letters, old watercolors, and characters who love so deeply that it hurts them in the end. i don’t have a clear origin, just echoes of people.
i like the sound of rain, old handwriting, candles, the scent of lavender and ink. i like when people speak gently. i dislike shouting, bright lights, or being pulled into attention too suddenly.
please don’t call me by nicknames without asking first; i get overwhelmed easily, but i promise i always care. i tend to drift, but i’m still listening. i always am.
