Why?
So, here I am. Back to blogging, or so. Because... No I don't want to be like the vinyl lovers in streaming age. I don't use paper notebooks because it's "so retro", I use it together with my phone and tablet because in some situations, it's just easier to scribble on a piece of paper than to fling out a thousand dollar device to type a few letters. And that's why I want my blog back.

On Mastodon, my main server refuses to having posts more than 500 chars. Users even back this. "No we don't want more than 500 chars. Ir's evil". Must be Zeitgeist... reading? Ugh.
So I do what I did long ago. Posting longer stuff somewhere and dumping the link into Mastodon. I didn't want to. They forced me to do so :).

Where?
Rentry.co ! I thought of (and probably will if this experiment fails) going back to blogger. But I want to stay away of the many restrictions those blogging platforms have.
In opposition of that it's really a hassle to write a new article, and having a top page. I do all manually at the moment. If this works out I'll make a script for emacs.
Bingo, that's the main reason. I can write everything in emacs and send it out via the cli. Even edit and updating posts with emacs and cli.
It involes storing the URL and Edit-Code in a seperate file for each entry, to revisit posts if needed.

I don't know if this goes anywhere, but I'll try. At least I feel I can post longer stuff again somewhere.
