MU Aims to Finalize Two Transfers Early
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, MU is sticking with its transfer plans and aims to finalize deals for Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat as quickly as possible.
The discussions between MU and Atalanta regarding Hojlund remain ongoing. Recently, Coach Gasperini admitted that it's challenging for the Serie A club to wthhold the Danish player.
"Hojlund to MU? He is happy here, and we also want to keep Rasmus," said Gasperini. "However, clubs and players sometimes need to consider significant offers."
Meanwhile, MU views Amrabat as important for their midfield. In turn, the "Red Devils" have decided to part ways with Fred and Donny van de Beek.
As the Moises Caicedo deal has hit a snag, Chelsea has shifted its focus to bolstering their midfield with Federico Valverde from Real Madrid.
In accordance with Defensa Central, a Spanish news outlet near Real Madrid, Chelsea has increased their transfer offer for the Uruguayan midfielder to 115 million euros, with an additional payment due in the summer of 2024, bringing the total value to 130 million euros.
If the transfer is completed, Valverde will break Chelsea's and English football's record as the most expensive signing, surpassing the 121 million euros paid for Enzo Fernandez earlier this year.
