IRL (In real life)
An IRL is someone who identifies as a fictional character and is commonly used in fictionkin spaces, but is also used to refer to people who claim to have delusional attachments and people who make how they look in real life on Ponytown. Whether they are delusional or not, it's not right to harass them as they could be doing completely fine with this label and it would be ableist to harass someone based on delusions.
If you, or someone you love, is experiencing delusions, please seek help. Do not be in spaces that only encourage them or encourage them yourself.
Kin
A kin is someone who identifies as fictional characters. They are different from IRLs as fictionkin are aware that they're not actually their kin in this life. People often mistake kin to mean simply relating to a character.
