Boundaries

Don't like DMs

Our direct messages will generally be disabled on every platform, if you message us out of nowhere you will immediately be blocked. Exceptions to this are Asks on our tumblr. If you absolutely need to message us privately, please ping us in a mutual server and let us know why first.

Avoid tone tags

Most of them hinder our understanding at best or cause us to read your message in the opposite tone at worst. We will ask for tone if necessary. If you feel unable to not use tone tags you don't need to avoid interacting with us, just be aware that we may react strangely due to our neurodivergencies.

  • Tonetags that are fine: /lh /j /hj /aff /t (tease) /pl (platonic) /pos /neg /neu
  • Tonetags that aren't fine: /nm /nbr /nay /npa /info /gentle /srs

Limit pings

You can ping us to get our attention but please try not to ping in every message of a conversation.
Our reaction to pings may vary largely depending on mood, and in most servers we're active in we read every channel, so pinging us is usually not necessary.

Sourcemates and Sourcetalk are fine

Please refer to the boundaries of individual members for source-related interactions (indicated in their PluralKit groups or Raiko's Carrd). A general rule of thumb - members who do not want source-related interactions will not go by the name of their sourceself, so if you recognize someone from a source by name, they are likely fine with being asked about it. The same applies to Doubles.

How to treat someone as their source

The boundaries "Should not/Can be treated as source" indicate our degree of identification with and comfort with being referred to as our sources. This includes but is not limited to statements such as "I liked the episode on your backstory!" and "I know you from [source]!" Those statements will likely not be appreciated by members whose roles state to not treat them as source. Nuance is key here, you are welcome to express fondness of someone's source, but try to avoid assuming that they are exactly like what you're familiar with, making a distinction between "you" and "your source/sourceself" can go a long way. These groups also roughly draw a line between introjects who consider themselves to be literally the person from their source who came to the system somehow, and those who consider themselves to be an imprint of their sourceself created by the brain.

Ask before touching

Assume that we will react badly to unannounced touch from stranger, unless a member's profile states otherwise. If we are closely acquainted, you may consider those members in the "Ask to touch" PluralKit group as fine to touch, and those in the "Do not touch" may agree to be touched by you.
"Touch" in this context refers to any sort of rp-style interaction such as hugging, patting, poking, etc.

Our Pluralkit Profiles are public

Feel free to read our profiles at any time, please! Whether you do this via reacting to one of our messages, looking through the public parts of our PluralKit, or calling member IDs in private bot channels, our profiles are for being looked at - as long as your intentions are good, of course.
You are not obliged to check our profiles before interacting with us, though some of the information in there (particularily in the groups) may be useful.

Addressing us

We are not very picky when it comes to addressing, although we do have preferences. Here's a rough rundown of preferences and no-gos, everything not listed here is fair game:

Category Preferred No-go
1st person we/us /
2nd person you, you guys /
3rd person ae/aer, wings/wingselves she/her
Nouns system, polyplex, diviplex, members, sysmates alters, tulpas (we're not), personalities, host

Certain sisasystems may have different preferences, but these are the common consensus.

Feel free to ask!

Our frontstuck guy, Lycoris, has a special interest for our system's structure, as long as you're polite fe will gladly answer just about any question about our members, preferences, and functions.
