Alias: Revenant
Civilian Identity: N/A, subject is a confirmed Case 53. No pre-transformation identity has been recovered.
Affiliation: None
Threat Classification: Brute 7, Mover 7, Trump 5, Thinker 3
Disposition: Hostile

ABILITIES
Brute 7: Subject's body is composed of a dense, fibrous tissue covered by a layer of fur, resembling an avian-like humanoid. Possesses enhanced strength, durability and stamina. Enough to pulverize concrete and shear through metal, with high-yield explosives unable to critically wound them. Subject is able to function despite severe trauma. Has a healing factor that enables them to regenerate lost limbs within minutes.

Mover 7: Capable of extreme speeds, recorded in excess of 250 miles per hour in open terrain. It's enhanced agility, reflexes, and balance allow for unorthodox movement in urban environments, making them extraordinarily difficult to pin down.

Trump 5: Subject exhibits a resurrection-based power. Upon death, it revives after an interval ranging from seconds to minutes. Each resurrection results in a measurable increase in the subject’s overall parameters alongside a growing resistance to parahuman powers. These adaptations appear to be cumulative and permanent. To date, 68 genetically corpses of the subject have been recovered. Estimates place the count significantly higher.

Thinker 3: Subject demonstrates advanced cognition and heightened pattern recognition. Able to rapidly analyze enemy behavior and exploit weaknesses within minutes of conflict, dismantling teams of parahumans shortly after engagement. It is unclear whether this is a parahuman ability subject to the resurrection power or the result of extensive experience gained. Subject appears to also have an accelerated speed of learning, quickly becoming proficient in new fields.

PSYCHE PROFILE
Summary: Subject displays a highly predatory disposition and an inflated sense of superiority. Its behavior indicates a lack of empathy and an inherent superiority. A rare few individuals it deems “worthy” of respect are viewed as its equals. Revenant is highly intelligent and driven by impulse, rendering it extremely unpredictable.

Analysis: Revenant exhibits behavior consistent with narcissistic psychopathy, marked by a complete disregard for life and morality. It does not see others as individuals in any meaningful sense, but rather as curiosities, judged solely by their usefulness, novelty, or ability to entertain. Killing appears to be a natural reflex, executed often for no reason beyond whim.

Unlike other Case 53s, Revenant has not exhibited any signs of associated trauma or identity instability related to its unique form. Its lack of speech combined with its rare usage of gesture and motion suggests that it holds a capacity for communication, but doesn't bother to most of the time.

It pursues self-gratification through combat, novelty, and indulgence. It appears to take particular interest in challenging parahumans, seemingly to prove its superiority through defeating its opponent. Reports indicate a pattern of targeting high-threat individuals, often leaving behind scenes of excessive violence. Revenant also displays a pronounced appreciation for sensory experiences, particularly food. More recently, it has adopted painting as a creative outlet, though it is unclear if this behavior serves any deeper purpose beyond passing amusement.

Despite possessing a resurrection ability, Revenant approaches each encounter as if it is fighting for its final breath. Field observations suggest it actively seeks out conflict against parahumans that can challenge it. This pattern implies a deliberate pursuit of battles, each death serving as a crucible through which it forges itself anew.

On rare occasions, Revenant has formed emotional bonds with other creatures. Typically, these are parahumans it considers peers, those who demonstrate incredible combat prowess or obsessive dedication to the refinement of a particular craft. These relationships resemble a form of kinship, but lack consistency or loyalty, often dissolving without warning.

Revenant demonstrates no discernible long-term objectives. Its behavior is impulsive, driven by transient whims and base desires.

COUNTERMEASURES & ENGAGEMENT PROTOCOL
Standard firearms are largely ineffective. Subject can recover from even catastrophic bodily trauma within minutes. Confirmed deterrents capable of slowing initial combat efficacy include anti-regenerative toxins, high-voltage dismemberment grids, and flashpoint Tinkertech incendiaries. These measures provide only brief windows of suppression.

Revenant’s resurrection results in progressive power escalation. Each revival yields enhanced physical performance and increased resistance to previously effective tactics. Expect successive engagements to grow significantly more difficult with each termination. Under no circumstances should personnel attempt sustained combat. Primary objectives are evasion, observation, and delay.

Within moments of engagement, Revenant identifies weaknesses in squad cohesion, exploits environmental cover, and neutralizes high-priority targets with near-clinical precision. Engagement duration rarely exceeds three minutes before complete unit incapacitation. Ensure first-strike advantage.

If Revenant is observed engaging in extended stationary activity, do not interrupt. Attempts to disturb these periods of passivity have resulted in immediate and disproportionate retaliation. Passive monitoring through drones are advised.
