Not much surprises me, but that's a given for my line of work.
Every business has to have some sort of gimmick, every singer a new identity.
The dame's outfit certainly wasn't the most out there that I've seen, though I felt my eyes wander southward as she sauntered into my office.
She had an air of arrogance in the way she walked and talked, as if she was above me. I guess she was, being the owner of the local clock manufacturing industry.
Still, something about her voice seemed eerily familiar.
She stated her issue. Missing worker, apparently something unusual for her. Offered me a free ticket to her show if I could solve it. I politely declined.
With a wink and a curtsey, she departed.
Little did I know the mess that I had gotten myself into.
