17 Reasons To Not Be Ignoring Robots That Vacuum And Mop
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They can also help save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station has a handy LCD screen that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. made a post cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
