NoLook Time Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the NoLook Time mobile application
(package name com.nighttimevoice.night_time_voice).
Privacy summary: NoLook Time works offline. It does not create user
accounts, collect or transmit personal data, display advertising, perform
analytics, or track users.
1. Data collection and sharing
NoLook Time does not collect, upload, sell, rent, or share personal or
sensitive user data. The app does not include advertising, analytics,
tracking, social-media, or cloud-backend SDKs.
2. Motion and proximity sensors
When the user activates Night Mode or related gesture features, the app
accesses the device accelerometer and, where available, proximity sensor.
These readings are processed locally on the device to detect actions such as
flipping or shaking the phone, lifting it, or waving a hand over it. Raw sensor
readings are not transmitted off the device and are not kept as a sensor
history.
3. Speech and microphone
The app uses the device's installed text-to-speech service to announce the
time. NoLook Time does not request microphone permission and does not listen
to, record, store, or transmit audio. A text-to-speech provider installed on
the device may be governed by its provider's own terms and privacy policy.
4. Information stored on the device
The app may store the following information locally:
- Language, voice, time format, volume, pitch, and speed preferences.
- Gesture sensitivity, calibration profile, and feature settings.
- Optional Night Activity session times and trigger counts.
- Custom phrases and other user-selected preferences.
Night Activity is not medical or health data and does not measure sleep
quality, sleep stages, insomnia, or any medical condition.
5. Retention and deletion
Local Night Activity records can be deleted from inside the app. Users may
also choose automatic retention for 7, 30, or 90 days, or keep the records
until they delete them. All locally stored app data can be removed by clearing
the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. Because no
account or server-side user database exists, there is no remote account data
to delete.
6. Android permissions and background operation
NoLook Time may request notification permission and uses a visible foreground
service notification, a wake lock, and vibration to keep user-enabled motion
detection operating while the screen is off. The foreground service starts
only after the user enables the relevant feature and can be stopped from the
app or its notification. These capabilities are used only for the app's
talking-clock functions.
7. Data not accessed
The app does not request access to the microphone, camera, location, contacts,
phone calls, messages, photos, files, health data, advertising identifiers,
financial information, or account credentials.
8. Security
App preferences and optional activity records remain in Android's
app-specific local storage. NoLook Time does not operate a server or transmit
these records over the internet.
9. Children
NoLook Time is a general-audience utility and is not designed to collect
personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect
personal data from anyone, including children.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised
policy is published.
