NTS broadcasts 24/7 across two live channels with hundreds of resident hosts and guest DJs. SoundCloud imposes limits on upload hours and account capacity, making it impossible to host thousands of hours of monthly programming on a single profile.
In 2015, NTS’s original main account was famously deleted by SoundCloud due to automated copyright strikes. By spreading show archives across multiple accounts (alongside extensive use of Mixcloud), the station minimizes the risk of losing its entire back-catalogue if a strike occurs.

Why is Thursday (and the weekend) missing?
NTS doesn't maintain a permanent 7-day separate roster. When specific day profiles reach their Pro upload caps, NTS routinely does one of three things:
- Historically, older accounts like NTS Thursday were repurposed into generic rolling archives or converted into handles like nts-latest.
- Thursday and weekend broadcasts are frequently pushed directly to the primary active profile (NTS Latest) rather than using a dedicated day handle.
- Previous dedicated Thursday accounts that collected copyright strikes were unlisted or deleted by SoundCloud over time.
