Channel Updates

Basically, a summary of all the projects I'm canceling, I'm putting on hiatus, or I'm focusing on.

Now that my internet is up and working again, it's time to clean up a bit and have some organization on all my things.
Starting with:

Canceled Projects

Project Smashathon

As much as it hurts, I think it's safe to say that this project is going nowhere. The motivation just isn't there, and after 3 years I can see that most of the games I have left aren't really that fun for me.
So with a heavy heart, I'm canceling it. I'm not removing any videos or the spreadsheet, but I'm not going to continue with it.

Steam 10

Personally, I think I did a good job at picking games and organizing stuff. However, seeing that there's no interest, I don't think there will be a third race at all.
It's been harder and harder to find games that are cheap enough and also easy to learn. So I'm just not going to bother anymore. If anyone wants to take over the concept, feel free, but I'm done.

Projects On Hiatus

Metroid Series Hundo & D.A.P.

Both of these projects require a functional DS. Sadly, mine has the L button broken, and needs a replacement. Until I can get that sorted, I can't continue these, so I'm posponing them.
That will also let me focus on the projects I am continuing right now.

That untitled speedrun competition

I have progress in this project. However, so far I only have 3 participants of the 8 I wanted to get. This is also the first time I do something like this, so I want to make sure I have everything prepared before commiting to anything. I know I've been teasing this for months, and I really want to do it, but right now I need more time, as well as more people, so it'll have to wait.

Projects I'm focusing on

Tiny 10 #14

Not really a project per-se, but know that I plan on participating the race. I haven't learned much due to everything else I've had going on, but this will be the main focus until December 9th (the day of the race).
Not a surprise that I'm doing this, really, but wanted to acknowledge it anyways.

The UD100

Now the elephant in the room. Since my internet finally works, I can try this again. However, I'm not gonna put a deadline on myself this time. I'm going to take my time and try to finish learning everything before I try. Also, the format will be different. As much as I liked the "do it all in a row" format, not only is it not feasible for me to remember all games, but also some of these are very reset heavy.
So instead, I'll be doing them season by season: Start with Season 1 and do full runs of it until I'm satisfied, then move on to Season 2 and so on.
That seems more approachable, and also works with me not having as much free time as before.

Thanks for reading this. I hope next year goes better for me, because 2023 has been a lot of ideas and promises but very little actual execution. So I'm just deciding to take it easy and stop setting so many expectations on myself.

Thanks for being there, y'all.
