Introduction
Below is a list of add-on apps for Plex Media Server whch greatly enhance the experience and ae considered by many as must-haves. Each entry includes a brief descriptions as well as links to setup guides for each app.
Warning
Some or all of these apps may require advanced technical knowledge or expertise to install, configure, and/or operate. If you follow the setup guides carefully, you should be fine, but mistakes can lead to data loss or worse. Proceed with caution.

Docker
Docker is a platform that helps you easily create, deploy, and run applications in containers. By installing Plex Media Server add-ons on Docker, you can ensure a consistent and reliable experience across different environments.

Servarr Apps
The Servarr Apps are Lidarr, Prowlarr, Radarr, Whisparr, and Sonarr. Collectively they are commonly referred to as "*Arr" or "*Arrs". They are designed to automagically grab, sort, organize, and monitor your Music, Movie, Adult Video, or TV Show collections for Lidarr, Radarr, Whisparr, and Sonarr; and to manage your indexers and keep them in sync with the aforementioned apps for Prowlarr.

Prowlarr
Prowlarr is an indexer manager/proxy built on the popular arr .net/reactjs base stack to integrate with your various PVR apps. Prowlarr supports management of both Torrent Trackers and Usenet Indexers. It integrates seamlessly with LazyLibrarian, Lidarr, Mylar3, Radarr, Readarr, and Sonarr offering complete management of your indexers with no per app Indexer setup required (we do it all).

Radarr
Radarr is a movie collection manager for Usenet and BitTorrent users. It can monitor multiple RSS feeds for new movies and will interface with clients and indexers to grab, sort, and rename them. It can also be configured to automatically upgrade the quality of existing files in the library when a better quality format becomes available.

Sonarr
Sonarr is a PVR for Usenet and BitTorrent users. It can monitor multiple RSS feeds for new episodes of your favorite shows and will grab, sort and rename them. It can also be configured to automatically upgrade the quality of files already downloaded when a better quality format becomes available.

Overseerr
Overseerr allows you to keep your library up to date, manage user requests efficiently, and discover new media content. In addition, this tool also presents you with “downloadable media” (via requests, trends, recommendations, etc.) instead of you having to search and find them manually. So if you miss a good TV show or movie, Overseerr will help you catch them on time.

It can also be configured to automatically upgrade the quality of files already downloaded when a better quality format becomes available.

Whisparr is an adult movie collection manager for Usenet and BitTorrent users. It can monitor multiple RSS feeds for new movies and will interface with clients and indexers to grab, sort, and rename them. It can also be configured to automatically upgrade the quality of existing files in the library when a better quality format becomes available.

Below is a list of apps which carry the *Arr moniker but which are not officially affiliated with the Servarr project or developers.

Bazarr
Bazarr is a companion application to Sonarr and Radarr. It manages and downloads subtitles based on your requirements. You define your preferences by TV show or movie and Bazarr takes care of everything for you.
Be aware that Bazarr doesn't scan disk to detect series and movies: It only takes care of the series and movies that are indexed in Sonarr and Radarr.

Tdarr
Tdarr V2 is a cross-platform conditional based transcoding application for automating media library transcode/remux management in order to process your media files as required. For example, you can set rules for the required codecs, containers, languages etc that your media should have which helps keeps things organized and can increase compatability with your devices. A common use for Tdarr is to simply convert video files from h264 to h265 (hevc), saving 40%-50% in size.

Tautulli
Tautulli is a 3rd party application that you can run alongside your Plex Media Server to monitor activity and track various statistics. Most importantly, these statistics include what has been watched, who watched it, when and where they watched it, and how it was watched. The only thing missing is "why they watched it", but who am I to question your 42 plays of Frozen. All statistics are presented in a nice and clean interface with many tables and graphs, which makes it easy to brag about your server to everyone else.

Plex Meta Manager is an open source Python 3 project that has been designed to ease the creation and maintenance of metadata, collections, and playlists within a Plex Media Server. The script is designed to be run continuously and be able to update information based on sources outside your plex environment. Plex Meta Manager supports Movie/TV/Music libraries and Playlists.

Create live TV channels from your own media on your Plex servers. Access the streams using the simulated HDHomerun tuner or the generated M3U URl. dizqueTV (dis·keˈtiːˈvi) is a fork of the project previously-known as pseudotv-plex or pseudotv.

PASTA
Do you watch TV Shows with multiple languages and subtitles and wish you could change them for the entire show, rather than needing to do it for every. single. episode? Or maybe you aren't sure what the difference is between those 2 English (SRT) and English (SRT) subtitle files. Then PASTA is for you! PASTA allows you to connect to your Plex server and view more details about the audio tracks and subtitles, as well as set the tracks and subtitles or entire shows, or single episodes very quickly.
