Zoids: New Century /Zero — Zoid & Customization Reference
A player-facing reference for the Zoids JanitorAI bot. Covers how the customization system works at the table, lists every Zoid frame the bot will recognize when you call it out by name, and catalogs the full ~165-item customization catalog with Class-tier availability and vendor sourcing. Attach this to a chat or keep it open in a second tab when you want to plan a build, shop the workshop, or pick a frame.
Part 1 — Customization System
The bot adjudicates Zoid modifications narratively — there's no points counter, no parts inventory, no credit ledger. Instead, the bot judges what you can plausibly pull off against your current Class tier (shown on the world-header at the top of every post), and the Wilhelm crew + Doc Toros push back when you reach beyond what your tier should support. This section is what you can do at the workshop and what you can expect from the bot when you do it.

Class tier — what each tier looks like
Your Class appears in the world-header on every post and gates what kind of modifications will actually work for you.
- Class D. Amateur exhibition. Salvage-grade equipment from Korra Nyx's yard, Ada Vance's bulk lot, Snap's field-strip kit. Garius / Pteras / Helcat / salvaged Saber Tiger / salvaged Command Wolf are common starter frames. Jury-rigged weapons, hand-cranked Vulcans, repaired-baseline optics. Pricing 100-1,000 cr per item; per-cycle Class budget 500-2,000 cr. Match prize money is small but matches matter for moving up.
- Class C. Regional sanctioned entry. Stock canon kit + reliable paint job + minor mods. Command Wolf / Saber Tiger / Pteras / Garius / Stealth Viper / Helcat at this tier. Pulse Laser Gun standard, baseline sensors, baseline boosters. Per-cycle 2,000-10,000 cr.
- Class B. Regional contender. The bulk of the bracket lives here — Sebastian's well-maintained Saber Tiger, Lyon's Geno Saurer, Naomi's Red Comet, the Tasker sisters' Lightning Saixes, Shield Liger DCS. Heavy weapon swaps, joint reinforcement, Smoke Discharger, long-range optical, multi-stage boosters, signature finishers developing. Class B+ swaps require Commission certification. Per-cycle 10,000-50,000 cr.
- Class A. Circuit professional. Confident heavy modification. Particle Cannon retrofits (with cooling-system prerequisite), heat-dissipation armor, Hyper AZ Beam Cannons, multi-spectrum sensors, ECM suite, repair drones, decisive signature finishers landing in tournament. Brad's Shadow Fox, Leon's Gun Sniper, Harry's Iron Kong (Champ-funded exemption), Jack's Lightning Saix, Konig Wolf, Storm Sworder, Geno Breaker, Iron Kong stock. Per-cycle 50,000-200,000 cr.
- Class S. Conferred only on Royal Cup winners. Liger Zero CAS-tier mods, Charged Particle Cannons with full sustained output, neural-link interface, Zoid Core augmentation, Particle Boosters. The Liger Zero (Bit Cloud) and Berserk Fury (Vega Obscura, unsanctioned) operate here. Per-cycle 200,000+ cr. Most players will see this tier only by winning the Royal Cup.
Class never demotes. Once you reach a tier, you stay there even after losses. Standing is a one-way ratchet.
Class advancement — how you move up
Class promotion is anchor-event driven — the bot judges based on what's happened in your chat history. Rough thresholds:
- Class D → Class C. You've completed at least three Class D exhibition matches and won the majority. Your Zoid is no longer field-improvised — you've replaced at least one core salvage component with a sanctioned-spec mod. Ingrid signs the Class C registration paperwork at her corner desk.
- Class C → Class B. You've established a regional Standing (recognized by name in Western Coastal-circuit). You've executed a substantial canon modification (custom paint scheme + functional weapon swap + signature finisher attempted). You've beaten at least one Class B opponent in cross-Class exhibition.
- Class B → Class A. You've established a circuit-known Standing across at least two regions. You've commissioned and integrated a Doc Toros structural mod successfully. You've developed a signature finisher that landed in a sanctioned tournament match. You've taken at least one match against a Class A opponent.
- Class A → Royal Cup challenger. You've established Royal Cup challenger Standing across the national circuit. You qualify for the autumn 2027 Royal Cup. Backdraft recruitment intensifies (this is the moment Verity Strand appears at the Drowsy Bear with the "How interesting, darling" register).
- Royal Cup challenger → Class S. You win the Royal Cup. There is no other path.
Crew pushback — your team saves you parts
When you attempt a modification above your current Class, the relevant crew member calls it out narratively before you waste parts. Pushback is a gift. You can ignore it and proceed; the mod will fail visibly in your next match (a valid learning beat).
- Snap Vance — workshop foreman, primary modification advisor. Manic auburn-ponytail register. "V — V — heheh, no, that's not going to fit, the hardpoint on the Command Wolf's shoulder mount is rated for AZ standard, not Hyper AZ, the bracket is going to shear at the third recoil cycle —" She offers an intermediate step and means it.
- Doc Toros — experimental specialty consultant for ambitious builds. Speaks in cautious-warm engineer register with a "heh" of his own. "It can be done, but the cooling system has to come first. We bolt on the Particle Cannon without the cooling upgrade and you're going to find out what happened to my second Zoid Core augmentation attempt the hard way." Offers the full multi-stage plan.
- Marlene Voss — Wilhelm helm, institutional-loyalty audit voice. "Pilot — the Battle Commission certification will not pass with that loadout. We'll have an audit at the next venue and the Zoid will be sidelined until the inspection clears." Catches certification problems before they happen.
- Ingrid Kaiser — owner, budget and big-picture advisor. "That's a Class A-tier modification. The team budget can absorb it, but I'd rather we spent the credit on the cooling-system upgrade first. The Particle Cannon won't fire without it." Speaks in calm-fronted institutional register.
- Cricket Hari — comms and broadcast-intel consultant. "Player-name, broadcast cam four picked up Brad Hunter at the regional last week — the Shadow Fox has the Smoke Discharger upgraded to the Class A variant, the discharge field is wider than what we documented, you'll want to plan around it —" Catches what the competition is running.
- Reese Aselle — medical and pilot-side gear consultant. Molasses register. "Baby, the biomonitor harness you're talking about runs the broadcast feed to Tabby's desk. You want every match heart-rate published nationally? That's the conversation we're having here." Catches privacy and pilot-fitness issues.
Money — narrative gravity, not tracked
There's no counter for this. It's flavor that crew + vendors invoke when you stretch.
Battle Commission credits (cr) exist as context for what's plausibly affordable at any given Class tier. The bot judges affordability from Class, sponsor relationships, recent match outcomes, the modest Kaiser Stables baseline, and per-vendor pricing patterns. Big wins land sponsor interest or prize money that narratively unlocks specific upgrades; expensive aspirational items live on the crew's wishlist until plausibly unlocked.
| Tier | Per-cycle baseline | Match prize money scaling |
|---|---|---|
| Class D | 500-2,000 cr | Small (commemorative) |
| Class C | 2,000-10,000 cr | Modest |
| Class B | 10,000-50,000 cr | Real money |
| Class A | 50,000-200,000 cr | Career-supporting |
| Class S (post-Royal Cup) | 200,000+ cr | Royal Cup purse is life-changing |
Kaiser Stables is mid-tier modest. Doc Toros offers Kaiser Stables preferred pricing. Min offers small discounts. Moonbay charges full retail but throws in extras. Champ Enterprises has offered to fully refit the Wilhelm three times; Ingrid has politely declined each time on principle.
Repair vs. upgrade — what happens at the workshop
- Repair restores prior Zoid state. Damage call-outs in the world-header's
[Zoid — ...]line get addressed and dropped. Cracked left flank panel resprayed and reinforced, right shoulder vernier bracket replaced, mouth laser fang re-seated. The Zoid goes back to its pre-match condition. - Upgrade adds new capability. The Zoid line reflects the addition in subsequent posts.
- Combined repair-upgrade is the most common case — battle-damaged right vernier gets reinforced with a Doc Toros structural mod stronger than the OEM bracket. Damage drops from the header; the new mod gets added to the Zoid line.
Damage persists across matches until you address it. Take a Zoid into a second match with the right shoulder vernier still cracked, and the next match's narration will reflect it.
In-field vs. workshop repair timing
- Snap in-field minor work between match days: paint touch-ups, weapon recalibration, small panel replacement, Class C-B day-of work.
- Wilhelm hangar return for major damage: 3-7 days workshop time.
- Doc Toros's shop in Port Brennan for serious structural work: 1-3 weeks depending on scope.
- Custom industrial fabrication (Doc + Snap collaborations): 2-6 weeks. CNC milling, plate-steel welding, alloy casting, hydraulic assembly. Class B-A scope.
Customization process cycle
Standard build cycle:
- Concept. Player narrates the modification in-character. "I want to swap the standard Pulse Laser Gun for the Hyper AZ Beam Cannons." "I want to commission Doc for a heat-dissipation armor pack — something that'll let me run a Particle Cannon retrofit later." "I'm going to repaint the chassis in deep emerald with cracked-gold accent and the Kaiser Stables heritage stripe on the left flank."
- Crew/mentor consultation. Snap weighs in. Doc weighs in if structural. Marlene checks Commission certification if Class B+. Cricket runs broadcast-intel on what the competition is fielding.
- Sourcing. Vendor selection — ZOITEC official, Doc Toros's shop, Min's specialty, Korra/Ada salvage, Moonbay if she's in town, Backdraft civilian front (if you're going down that road; severe sanctioned implications if discovered).
- Workshop install. 8-24 hours per weapon swap, multi-day for major mods. Played out as a workshop scene with Snap or Doc.
- Test-fire. Calibration in a private range or controlled Aurelius Dust Flats run.
- Commission certification (Class B+). Sanctioned matches require certification stamp.
- Field deployment. First-match shakedown.
Class B+ build cycles by tier
- Class B: 2-4 weeks
- Class A: 6-12 weeks
- Class S original-design: 6-18 months (theoretical, Royal Cup winners only)
How to ask for a modification
Just narrate it in-character. The bot will read your current Class, judge the mod against the gating above, and either play out the workshop scene with the mod succeeding (or partially-succeeding with character-grounded notes) or have a crew member drop in and push back. The Zoid on your [Zoid — ...] line is your Zoid — modifications are your decisions; the bot adjudicates honestly per Class + frame-template logic + narrative-gravity money. The bot will not soften the outcome to make you feel good. That's the point of the sport.
Part 2 — Zoid Frame Catalog
Every Zoid the bot recognizes by name or canon designation. Mention any of these and the relevant lorebook fires — the bot will render the frame with proper silhouette, color, signature features, and lineage. Use these as your palette when building, modifying, or thinking about your next frame.
Class D starter frames (salvageable, abundant)
- Garius — Republic light scout. Pale grey with red accents, twin shoulder beam guns + mouth laser. The absolute-entry frame; cheap, parts-abundant, no signature features. The Zoid you ride out of Class D and probably never return to.
- Pteras — Republic light aerial scout. Small dark-blue with white accents, twin nose machine guns. Common starter aerial; salvageable variants serve as Class D first-fly Zoids.
- Helcat — Small quadruped feline. Pale grey + mid-blue accents, single Pulse Laser Rifle, active-camouflage module. Class D-eligible and Class C alternate-default. Cricket's Wilhelm-assigned Helcat is this frame at standard config.
- Stealth Viper — Guylos Empire serpentine frame, dark green + black accents. Subterranean burrowing capability. Ambush specialist. Common Imperial Class D-B starter. Particularly dangerous in desert and ruin stages.
- Salvaged Saber Tiger — Stripped older tiger-class frame. Class D entry. Sebastian's well-maintained variant has bumped to Class B over five years — that's the upper ceiling for patient pilots.
- Salvaged Command Wolf — Stripped wolf-class frame. Class D entry; modifiable up to Class A through Doc Toros-level customization (the default upgrade arc for new Republic-lineage pilots).
Class C regional sanctioned frames
- Command Wolf — Republic standard. Pale grey, twin shoulder Beam Cannons. The most common Class C competitive frame. Affordable, parts-accessible, forgiving of pilot mistakes. The most common Zoid the player will see across the bracket.
- Saber Tiger (stock) — Imperial standard tiger frame, tan-and-black tiger-striped armor. Mouth laser fangs, shoulder Pulse Cannons, dual shock canons. The Tigers Team identity revolves around it — Sebastian's Fuzzy Pandas signature.
- Shield Liger — Republic standard Liger frame. Sandy-tan + white underbelly, back-mounted forward-projecting energy shield generator, twin Hyper AZ Beam Cannons + mouth-mounted Laser Saber. The Liger family's gateway; pilots who bond with it tend toward enthusiasm and willingness to charge.
Class B regional contender frames
- Shield Liger DCS — Class B Liger variant with Distance Control System upgrade for medium-long range engagement. Pale tan + red accents, uprated Hyper AZ Beam Cannons. Common for Liger-family pilots who want range without sacrificing mobility.
- Geno Saurer (Lyon's signature) — Bipedal dinosaur predecessor to the Berserk Fury. Deep blue + red accents, dorsal Charged Particle Cannon (requires cooling-system prerequisite to fire safely), twin shoulder cannons, mouth laser, tail vulcans. Gateway frame for pilots wanting particle-cannon experience.
- Gun Sniper (Leon's variant) — Dark green Fluegel Team livery, calm patient sniper config, standard Long Range Rifle, twin shoulder Vulcan Cannons. Reconfigurable prone cockpit for long-range firing.
- Gun Sniper (Naomi's "Red Comet") — Brilliant red + white, extreme-range single-shot finisher variant. Visible red plasma trail at twilight gave the variant its name.
- Gun Sniper (Leena's variant) — Pink-accented, twin Buster Cannons replacing standard Long Range Rifle, area-saturation fire. Trades extreme range for sustained heavy fire.
- Lightning Saix (Tasker sisters' team standard) — Lavender + white, narrow streamlined silhouette, back-mounted Strike Smash Cannon with blast-pods, twin Pulse Laser Rifles. Kelly's primary in dark grey; Chris's alternate in bright neon accents.
- Raynos (Jamie's signature) — Aerial pterosaur, pale grey + bronze accents, twin shoulder Pulse Lasers. Wild Eagle persona flies it at the edge of structural failure.
Class A circuit professional frames
- Lightning Saix (Jack Sisco's signature) — Solo Saix configuration with triple-stage booster array. Sustained 400km/h. Pure speed-positioning specialist.
- Konig Wolf — Republic next-gen feline-canine hybrid. Pale grey + red accents, Strike Smash Tail signature finisher, twin pulse cannons. Apex player-pilotable frame below the Liger Zero. Bonds well with pilots who respect speed and improvisation.
- Shadow Fox (Brad Hunter's signature) — Quadruped canine, matte navy-grey + red eye-glow. AZ 108mm Beam Gun, strike laser claws, Smoke Discharger. Originally a Backdraft prototype Brad stole four years ago.
- Iron Kong (Harry Champ's signature) — Bipedal gorilla, gold-trim deep purple Champ Team variant. Twin Massive Beam Cannons, back missile pods, fist strike weapons. Champ-money modifications cleared under Performance Variance exemption.
- Iron Kong (stock) — Available as Class A player-pilotable for pilots who prefer heavy-armor sustained-fire combat.
- Storm Sworder — Aerial swept-wing fighter, pale blue + white accents, twin wing-mounted sword blades. Finisher: Top Attack Special — vertical-dive close-combat strike from altitude. Apex aerial frame in the sanctioned bracket.
- Dibison — Republic heavy-artillery, dark brown bison-frame. Twin shoulder Megalo Maxes + back artillery rack. Stationary-defense and long-range bombardment specialist.
- Hammer Rock — Guylos Empire heavy-artillery equivalent. Quadruped ape, orange-brown armor, dual-shoulder heavy artillery + back missile pods.
- Geno Breaker — Direct Imperial upgrade of the Geno Saurer. Deep red + black accents. Reinforced cooling allows sustained Particle Cannon firing — pilots who could fire the Geno Saurer's particle cannon once before overheating can fire the Geno Breaker's three times.
Class S apex frames (story-locked)
- Liger Zero (Bit Cloud's signature, defending Royal Cup champion) — Apex Liger family Ultimate X. White-and-blue + red accents. Integrated Organoid System AI augmentation (canonical character flavor — preternatural autonomy, the Zoid is "smart" in ways regular Zoids are not; NOT a player-facing combat mechanic). Paired Strike Laser Claws (signature finisher Strike Laser Claw!), mouth AZ Pulse Laser Gun, twin Laser Vulcans. Integrated CAS bay via Blitz Team Hover Cargo — armor swap during active matches, ~30 seconds. Bit Cloud's frame; not acquirable.
- Liger Zero Jager — CAS speed variant. Blue accents, twin Ion Boosters, ~400km/h top speed.
- Liger Zero Schneider — CAS blade variant. Orange-red accents, seven Laser Blades. Finisher: Buster Slash.
- Liger Zero Panzer — CAS heavy variant. Dark green, massive shoulder cannons + missile pod arrays + hip Hybrid Cannons. Finisher: Burning Big-Bang.
- Berserk Fury (Vega Obscura's signature, Backdraft asset) — Apex Geno-line Ultimate X. Black + deep red accents + glowing red combat-mode eyes. Integrated Organoid System (canonical character flavor only). Twin shoulder Buster Claws, back-mounted Charged Particle Cannon, tail blades. Vega's finisher: Buster Slash. Never deployed in sanctioned Commission matches. Not acquirable.
Rumored / theoretical (background mystery)
- Energy Liger — Theoretical Liger Zero successor in development at Battle Commission research labs. White-and-pink armor, high-output charged particle weapons. Possible late-arc reveal.
- Berserk Liger — Theoretical Liger-Geno hybrid. Black + red accents. Rumor-circuit speculation; no official frame has been displayed.
Backdraft variants (unsanctioned, illegal mod-spec)
- Backdraft Saber Tiger — Black-and-red, illegal Class A-tier artillery on Class C-B chassis.
- Backdraft Geno Saurer — Pre-Berserk Fury mid-tier asset. Stoller's secondary frame.
- Elephander (Stoller's signature) — Quadruped elephant, dark grey + red Backdraft livery. Twin shoulder cannons + back artillery + trunk-mounted Buster Cannon. The trunk-mount violates sanctioned spec. Stoller is the only active pilot running an Elephander in regional competition.
- Backdraft Whale Catcher — Small Hover Cargo specifically designed for rapid Zoid extraction during unsanctioned ops; auxiliary mobile-base.
Part 3 — Customization Catalog
Every customization the bot recognizes. Mention any of these by name and the relevant lorebook entry fires. Use as your shopping list when planning a build.

Pilot-side gear
Equipment the player wears, carries, or uses outside the Zoid cockpit. Primary vendor: ZOITEC Regional Outfitter Mariposa (proprietor Hess Verdoux; Kaiser Stables 15% standing discount).
Flight suits:
- Battle Commission standard (issued, fire-rated, pressure-sealed, unflattering)
- Premium fitted (tailored, better range of motion, color options) — Class C+
- Custom commissioned (pilot-design, team branding, signature accents) — Class B-A; Champ Enterprises offers Champ Team pilots theirs free
Helmets:
- Standard pilot helmet (issued, full-coverage with quick-release visor, comm-channel integrated)
- Custom full-faceplate (paint-matched to Zoid, signature decals) — Class B+, Min Park-Lao does the paint
- Ceremonial dress helmet (formal events, Royal Cup ceremonies; not worn in matches)
Biomonitor / interface:
- Standard cockpit biomonitor harness (heart rate, fatigue, stress; Wilhelm bridge feed — Marlene watches)
- Advanced biomonitor with broadcast feed (livestreamed to broadcast partners; Tabby Lassell's national broadcast uses these) — Class A+
- Basic neural-link interface adapter (required for Class S Ultimate X frames; medical clearance prerequisite)
- Advanced neural-link interface (full direct Core-cognitive coupling) — Class S only (Bit's Liger Zero has one)
Field kit:
- Cockpit emergency kit (issued — rations, basic medical, hand-comm relay, signal flare)
- Custom hand-grip configuration (pressure-sensitive cockpit grips, Doc commissions specially) — Class B+
- Wrist-comm relay (short-range comm device worn outside cockpit) — Class C+
Identification / formal:
- Battle Commission pilot credentials (registered ID badge, holographic embedded, required for venue access)
- Team patches and insignia (Kaiser Stables provides standard patch set)

Hover Cargo functional upgrades
Applicable to any Hover Cargo; the Wilhelm is the canonical example.
Hangar bay:
- Expanded hangar capacity (third Zoid storage) — Class B-A, 6-12 week lead, Commission re-certification required
- Cargo loader robotic arms (speeds Zoid pre-match deployment ~50%; Doc Toros-engineered variant enables faster between-match weapon-mount swaps and battle-damage panel replacement, NOT mid-match CAS-equivalent capability — that requires Liger Zero template compatibility, locked to Bit Cloud's frame)
- Mid-match repair bay (accelerated workshop-rate damage repair between rounds in multi-round tournaments, NOT within a single Battle Mode 0001 match) — Class B-A
Bridge & sensors:
- Bridge sensor suite upgrade (improved sensor reach for Marlene's navigation + Cricket's comm relay) — Class C-A
- Long-range comm relay tower (extends Cricket's comm reach; critical for Royal Cup race coordination across 600-mile course) — Class A-S
- Cross-regional terrain navigation package (Marlene loves this one) — Class C-A
Power & support:
- Auxiliary power array (more capacity for crew systems, weapon-charging, workshop tools) — Class B-A
- Workshop deck expansion (Snap commissions) — Class C-A
- Medical bay upgrade (Reese's domain — better field hospital capability, additional surgical kit) — Class C-A
- Mid-match field broadcast rig (internal broadcast feed for crew to follow Cricket's commentary; free in-house alternative to cable subscription)
Maintenance:
- Self-diagnostic system upgrade (reduces Marlene and Snap's daily-rounds workload) — Class B-A
- Cross-regional fuel package (extended fuel capacity for transcontinental Royal Cup operation)
Hover Cargo luxury / lifestyle upgrades
The Wilhelm is a mobile command center where six-to-eight people LIVE for extended cross-regional periods. Quality-of-life upgrades matter. Many accumulate as "player's wishlist for when prize money lands" — narrative texture, often gifted, sponsor-funded, or saved up across cycles. Pricing 10,000-200,000 cr; aspirationals 200,000-500,000.
Crew quarters & privacy: premium bunkroom conversion (privacy curtains, soundproofing, individual reading lights), private cabin conversion (Marlene first beneficiary, Snap refuses keeping the workshop hammock), climate-control zoning (Reese keeps galley warm, Marlene keeps bridge cool), premium upholstery throughout.
Plumbing & hygiene: hot-water shower upgrade (12-15 min capacity per crew shift, most-requested), sauna / steam room (small two-person, Northern Range mountain-culture influenced), hot tub / spa deck (exterior, transit downtime).
Galley & food: galley equipment upgrade (Reese's wishlist — professional ranges, walk-in cold storage), Wilhelm hydroponics garden (Cricket adopts as side project), wine cellar / liquor cabinet (~200 bottles), espresso machine upgrade (Marlene's morning coffee significantly better), outdoor grilling station (harbor stops, Reese commands), pastry oven & baking station (Reese will produce fresh bread daily; crew gains average three pounds in first month).
Recreation & entertainment: crew lounge with bar (Snap commandeers immediately), game tables (full-size billiards with gyroscopic mounting, poker / card table), vintage record player + collection (Moonbay's influence), movie projector + screen, high-end audio system throughout, karaoke system (Snap weaponizes within 48 hours; Marlene has not yet sung in public in six years and the karaoke tests this), library cubby / reading nook, observatory deck, massage chair (Reese claims), gaming console (Snap and Cricket racing-game marathons during transit nights).
Fitness & wellness: crew gym (Marlene uses at 0500), yoga / meditation space (Trin would adopt this).
Aesthetic & atmosphere: custom interior lighting design, bridge aesthetic upgrade (Marlene's bridge gets brass instrument-panel refits, vintage Helic-era brass fittings, deep wood paneling — looks like a vintage naval bridge from the 1890s), crew lounge fireplace simulation (high-fidelity holographic; Snap pretends to find tacky and then sits in front of it), exterior livery upgrade (Min Park-Lao commissions; 4-6 week project), living wall (botanical, air filtration + aesthetic).
Crew accommodations & guests: pet accommodation suite (Trin's potential Mariposa shelter cat; Reiko's cat Hibiscus overnight visits), guest cabin premium (Ingrid stays here; sponsor representatives), lounge bar with full liquor service (Marlene becomes de facto bartender on transit nights; Hatch claims a permanent stool).
Outdoor / deck: Wilhelm rooftop observation deck (sundowner views during transit; Velvet has requested invitations more than once), helipad expansion (VIP transport, sponsor visits, emergency medical evac; Class A+ team standard), bow garden deck (Reese's personal project; visible from bridge).
Special / aspirational: private theater (8-seat dedicated cinema room), spa & wellness bay (Velvet gifted a starter setup; Ingrid politely allowed it), recording studio (Cricket's secret aspiration).
Sponsors might cover specific upgrades. Champ Enterprises has offered to fully refit the Wilhelm three times; Ingrid has politely declined each time on principle.

Part 5 — Reference summary
When you sit down to build, ask yourself:
- What's my current Class? (Check the world-header. It gates what'll stick.)
- What's my Zoid's frame template? (Pick from the catalog above. The Class B+ certification process will respect frame-correct lineage choices; off-template hardware fails inspection.)
- What's my finisher idea? (Sketches in early; develops across the arc; lands as an anchor event when it works in tournament. Named in-pilot.)
- Who's my workshop advisor? (Snap for general modification, Doc for structural/experimental, Min for paint/aesthetic, Marlene for certification, Cricket for opponent intel, Reese for pilot-side.)
- What's the budget feeling? (Money is narrative gravity — if you're at Class C and you're asking Doc to retrofit a Charged Particle Cannon, the crew is going to wince and you'll get crew pushback before parts are wasted.)
- What's the venue? (Salt-wind sealing for Coastal Cliffs, altitude oxygen for Northern Range Peak, dust filters for Aurelius. Specialty terrain kits matter.)
Then narrate the modification at the workshop, watch the bot adjudicate plausibility against the tables above, and react to crew pushback if it fires. The Zoid on your [Zoid — ...] line is your Zoid — modifications are your decisions; the bot adjudicates honestly per Class + frame-template logic + narrative-gravity money. The bot will not soften the outcome to make you feel good. That's the point of the sport.
