A pansexual-lesbian (or, pan-lesbian) person is somebody who uses both labels pansexual and lesbian to describe their identity and lived experience.
People may identify as pansexual lesbian for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to):
1) A Pansexual/Panromantic individual who has a stronger attraction to non-men/women or their relationships and attraction are centered around non-men/women. (individuals who prioritize their attraction to non-men/women.)
2) A Pansexual/Panromantic individual who prefers women/non-men.
3) An individual whose attraction is broad, but their relationships are centered on women/non-men.
It is not a contradictory label, nor does it invalidate pansexuals and lesbians. Labels can be layered because identity is layered.
ALL queer identities are valid; Nobody owes anyone a "simple" label. If "pansexual lesbian" is the most truthful way to describe your experience, then that is reason enough. People forget that sexual orientation labels are descriptive, not prescriptive. Many people experience attraction in ways that don't fit neatly into one single box, so they combine terms to express something more accurate.
