I should clarify (before anyone makes assumptions) that my stance as "Critical Pro-Fic" inherently excludes the overt publicity, minor-inclusion and lack of tagging that one would see in the wild internet. My stance is that, while I do not engage with certain dark topics and dynamics for my own pleasure or therapeutic sake, these things should not be censored by law because that would directly open the floodgates for morbid dystopian lawmaking.
With great importance, I should state that I do not agree with the creation or distribuition of taboo fiction towards or relating to real-life minors or real non-consenting parties; as a survivor, however, I have bigger issues in my life that are unrelated to what is created in fictional scenarios.
I believe adults should be able to make the distinction of right from wrong when it comes to real life, whereas fiction allows one to navigate and explore certain topics that are unsafe to explore in real life. Moreover, I would rather a dangerous paraphile get off to fictional characters that cannot be hurt or traumatized rather than inflict harm upon real beings.
