AniLoop — Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

What AniLoop does

AniLoop is a Chrome extension that tracks your anime watch progress on Franime.fr and Crunchyroll. It detects the anime and episode you are watching and saves your progress locally.

Data collection

AniLoop does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All watch progress data (anime titles, episode numbers, playback timestamps) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local). The data stays on your device and is not transmitted to any AniLoop server.

External requests

AniLoop makes read-only API requests to the following services to retrieve anime metadata (titles, episode counts, poster images):

  • AniList (graphql.anilist.co)
  • Franime (api.franime.fr)
  • Kitsu (kitsu.app)

No user data is sent in these requests.

Third parties

AniLoop does not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties.
