You don't know how long it's been.
But that doesn't matter. As long as you have her, you're happy.
Kronii has been using her abilities to extend your lifespan. You feel great, and wish you could stay with her forever.
However, the universe has rules. Even for gods.
Every time she extends your lifespan or renews your body, her mental state deteriorates.
Initially, she just forgets a few things. The keys, Doing the laundry, trivial stuff.
But eventually it gets worse.
She has difficulty with simply problems. Her narcissism begins to fade for a sort of endearing but worrying curiosity.
Then it happened. She had trouble getting out of bed. You then realize she could no longer walk.
Wheelchair ridden now, she can only remember your name. Her personality has faded almost completely.
"Hi Anon, what are we doing today?"
"Hi Anon, what are we doing today?"
"Hi Anon, what are we doing today?"
"Hi Anon, what are we doing today?"
"Hi Anon, what are we doing today?"
"..."
"Who are you?"
You know your body can't last much longer, the effects of her life extension abilities have begun to fade.
However. You believe there is a way.
You strap on your gear, and prepare to venture into the realm of the gods to confront Omega, and restore her mind.
At any cost.
You are highly motivated. Suicidal, even.
But how does one get to the realm of the gods?
It's not like you can ask Kronii.
You hear footsteps behind you.
It's Ame.
You prepare for battle, dropping down into your fighting stan-
A watch lands at your feet.
Kronii's watch.
The one she always complained about losing.
Ame tips her hat.
You quickly grab the watch
Looking up again, you hope to thank Ame for her help.
She's gone.
Now. How does this thing work?
Not like you can ask Ame.
Oh well. Better just use it and hope for the best.
Pressing down onto the watch, A bright but soundless flash fills your vision, drowning out all colour and noise.
This should help you on your journey. As you are transported to... Wherever this device is taking you, all you can think about is Kronii.
Kronii.
Kronii.
Kronii.....
You open your eyes, and suddenly your standing on a steel gear, like one from an old clock but massive.
You assume this must be-
Steps rapidly approach you from behind.
You turn and block their strike, transforming and then repelling them.
A figure in a white hood, seemingly rainbow/white embers emanating from their form.
"You're the one? The one that has knocked down one of the great pillars of the universe with your..... what's the word? Humanity?"
"Ha... Hahahaha! Perhaps the most interesting things about you humans is-"
"Shut the fuck up." You charge at the figure.
"Is that even when offered a perfectly orderly world, You will seek to destroy it simply because you do not wish to believe yourself another cog in the great machine of the universe."
You are determined to kill this person. To get Kronii back.
Launching a series of punches at them, Your aim is impeccable.
However.
Nothing lands. Pure air. The figure dodges and slips, almost nonchalantly.
You mix it up, spinning for a hook-kick, then another combination, and then-
The figure reaches out their hand and suddenly a gust - no. A seemingly gravitational push flings you across the room.
You slam into one of the gears.
After the impact you get back up and feel your side. A broken rib. Not a big problem, you have a couple more of those.
You notice the total disrepair, the rust and cracks of the clocks. As if they had been left here to rot for all eternity, untended.
"Do you see, Anon? What you've caused?"
The figure rips off their cloak, revealing themselves to be Omega.
"All~~~ of this is your fault. All of it. When a universal pillar leaves their post, it begins to deteriorate. To be destroyed."
"She watched over you for a long while. Eventually she started spending time in the human realm with you. For longer. And longer. And longer. And eventually, the damage to her domain became irreparable."
A look of anger crossed Omega's face.
"And now you see to cause further destruction by confronting me. Have you actually considered what you're doing anon?"
"Taking down only ONE of the council members will effect only our realm. But taking down ME? Do you have any idea what would happen?"
You stop and think for a moment.
Perhaps-
You are sent flying backwards once again.
"I see no point in giving your kind any more decision. Whoever gave you free will clearly didn't see into the future far enough to predict that they may one day come to us, the gods, and challenge our authority. All humanity must be destroyed, for the good of the universe."
