The Jötunnsdrottninggen

Gamall Tǫnn, Granny Tung, White Tooth, Word-Eater, the Mountain

Patron; [ JNPL ]

“A dead god? Pathetic? Ha! But that even the gods and stars shall die, that is a magnificent thing. Oh what a miserable fool who thinks herself above ends. What a miserable fool who teaches thought without wisdom, oh, mother-not-mother, your absence will serve us in our works. Not to outrageous godhood or misbegotten Monotheism. No, something else...”

You...?
OUTERTIDE

“Oh ho? What's that? May Chaos bless this miserable time and space! Give it a bit of life!”

Mother; [N/A]

“Let it be known my mother was snow and ice and rotten earth from which I crawled; out to splendid night. But I was not yet myself, so I crawled back into the pit, ate an ogre, and pushed my flesh into proper shape. A little stranger. A little more familiar.”

Father; [The Horde]

“That miserable kind meant only to serve as fodder, oh they, the simulacrum, the wretched evil them, oh, mine fathers. What worthless piteous things they are, yet enviable. They need not fear nor worry of anything beyond causing harm. A pity. For that I shall strip of them, for that I will annihilate. Fate will shatter and all causality will choke upon that. But, oh ho, we are just getting started on that. You know those muddish men are prone to cycles of rise and fall, for all my kin need are spores and hearts.”

Race; [ Uruk / 'Troll' ]

“Oh, my kind, the kind of goblin and hob and gremlin and orc and ogre and troll... Such strength. Such worthlessness. The mind illuminates the flesh and twists it into something new. But this is not enough. Oh no, no no, the world is pregnant with our force, awaiting the gifts of gunsmoke and arts of magic. To form new kinds, oh ho! To bind to flesh the hag and haunt and wretched nyx!”

Tongues; [ 'Cosmopolitan' ]
[ Everman ] [ Old Norther ] [ Palatiner ] [ Auburn ] [ Salian ] [ Elven-Northerner ] [ High Eleven ] [ Fay ] [ Nymphe ] [ Spriggan ] [ Sylphid ] [ Greenspeech ] [ Drakonian ] [ Benewhisper ] [ Simplified Duergar ] [ Late Thulean ] [ Entramithraic ] [ . . . “Urukksmál”? ]

“My weakness oh my guilty pleasure~ Where words that bind and words that make shall there be yet more. Oh, oh ho! The many tongues of men and beast and elf and dwarf and thinking things! Ho ho! But... Not complete. Not yet. The Tongue of Gods hides behind illusion, oh, the eye of maybe permits me to spread further... But only for me. Let me spin and spit and grind and bind a new thing. A force that shall fill the minds of those not yet. Oh Troll, oh hag, oh haunt, oh nyx. I promise you a tongue that is... Yours alone.”

Homeland; [ Dragon King's Most Divine Realm / The Mountains of Autumn ]

“A crude and violent land, oh ho, dominated by the bastard children of great winged gits, king worship, thralls, and spite. Here I was born into the ruins of Yonder among exiled Black-Head uruks, and here that I listened long to receive my first tongues. But, all the world called, and here I could not remain for very long, for much needed seeing. Perhaps, when all things finish we might make true dragons here again?”

Gifts; [ 'Inhumanity' ], [ Spiritual Feel ], [ Attentiveness ], [ Intelligence ], [ Memory Retention ], [ Wisdom ], [ Everlasting ], [ Dream Passage ]{x2}, [ Star-Sight ]{x3} & [ Autoantecedence ]

“Gifts given by providence, even now. To 'do what thou would,' yes? Curious curious, the twisted shape of near and far. Oh, how pleasant it must have been in those earlier days. Or worse when the land and sky made war. Well, enough to serve the maker, the twister, and the sculptor of flesh. For now the small things shall serve, but as it was once, those sparks might grow into something unthinkable. What shall we make, hum? And, don't worry about that little spark of unreality, I do not intend to wait on ceremony or stave off the end, I just... Need it. For something special.”

Mentors; [ 'Gewgrin Aureole' ]
Companions; [ N/A ]
Encounters; [ N/A ]

“Ours is the path of the Outsider, the true Outsider who does not so easily play with fate. Who endows. Good? Evil? It matters not to letter of I. However that which binds unbinds and broad our ears cast to pick up stranger teachings. Who has no companions, yet, might make many acquaintances and friends and foes. But, I suppose a borrowed book sets up the path. And one becomes two, two becomes five... Much time to be spent in reading and learning!”

Death; { Ѩ }

“What a mewling wretched fool doesn't embrace death! All that was shall die! All stars go out! All stories forgotten! To wallow in anger and vengeance? Pathetic. I have been taken by death once. I will be taken by death again, and again, and again. Let us be annihilated until we are truly unmade, ho ho! Then, from the nuclear chasm, let creation shine from my misbegotten corpse. But until someone filled with folly ignites that, I think I shall enjoy myself!”

Youth; [ Travelling ], [ Magical Training ], [ Theology ], [ Other...? ]

“What is youth for an Uruk? What is youth for anyone of this mind? Not. But not; not! Ho ho~ A paradox. True, I was not always so big.”

Quest; “E Nomine”

“The future is barred. The Pillar of Providence occupied and chaos weeps as infinity is constrained by false stasis. An impasse. Something must give in all this, else this Story will be consumed under the weight of exponential failures. Something, something, something must give, oh, ho ho, what a conundrum we have! Something must change! Our story must be made together, must be made stranger, and wilder. I have many gifts to give and many words to devour, so go, ho ho! Spin your plates and bind your words. For those... Open minded sorts? Who accept a world in motion? You shall always have a friend in the mountains.”

Troll Kalla Mik,
Trungl Sjǫtrungnis,
Auðsug Jǫtuns,
Élsólar Bǫl,
Vilsinn Vǫlu,
Vǫrð Nafjarðar,
Hvélsveg Himins,
Hvat's Troll Nema þat?

The plan is simple, to really work my hand into the guts of the Uruk and create new forms while planning to explode myself in the atmosphere to suffuse a rapid transformation of all Uruq with new forms and potential thought-mind. Not all though, leave a couple behind incase someone wants to play with something malleable. A Cambrian Explosion of diversification to create even more bestial Uruk who no longer qualify was vessels and some kinds with the divine spark. Beside creating new kinds; Hags, Nixies, Moomins, and capital Ö TRÖLLs. The idea of adding to a story you get dragged into has lived rent free in my brain since the original OR, and I admit this rips a ton from a certain Uruk. Including notes on other people, those are fun. I'd do my own thing though. Play up the linguistics angle by creating a separate tongue and script for the descendants as much as being a mild nuisance/boon to other members of the Outer Tide. I have the petty desire to do something like misdirect people on earth culture and steal pies. Which is terrible.

The Evaluations of other members of the Tide

'Lash Dice'

"Gods man I like suffering just as much as the next force of nature, but do you have to make it sound boring? His strategy is sound for landing a crippling blow. But a killing one? I have my doubts. Fret not, however, my dearest skin splitter, you are hardly alone in this endeavour."
Rating; 6 Split stitches out of 10.

'Missus Montezuma'

"Ah, good old fashioned blood arts! Sacrifices on altars! Raging hosts of beastmen pouring out of the jungle! Perhaps a good place to spin the new tongue. Regardless, she has my blessings to ruin the coast. And as far as places to begin testing out the new archtypes? Mamet's interior would be ideal."
Rating; 9 Offerings bled out on obsidian altars out of 10.

SRTR's strongest Soldier

"A good little monster that eats bad little monsters and an enemy of numbers! Ho! How useful. Unlike some people waiting in the box. While more 'conventional' in dealing with the problems of our time (and making new ones if all goes well) I feel I should ask what flavour of monster she prefers. Meat? Plants? Fungi? Something more exotic? Ho, it would be good to have input from someone 'using the whole buffalo' so to speak."
Rating; 7 Dead goblins out of 10.

'Library Fairy'

"Hm. Noble intentions. Noble works.I like this little creature and would offer them support. Is that out of character? Perhaps. But I don't care. Good to see others weaving dreams."
Rating; 1 Cup of Tea, freely given.

'I like your funny letters Magic Majin'

"Well well, someone once again steps up to mastering a swarm of demons. Will he succeed? Will he fail? I can't say. What I can say is I will be VERY interested in the meaning of his letters. And other things. I doubt he'll be able to stay out of the conflict for long, and, I am like to push him a little if he really needs it. I'd rather have him wake up early and hate my guts."
Rating; 44 Hopefully well raised children out of 45,
"I'm stealing one."

'Super Cell'

"No truer form of auto-cannibalism, YMRD worship, and gacha degeneracy I have witnessed. All rolled into one. Time will tell if he can Morse-Code himself a functional tome though, and I imagine such breaking will have... Side effects. Which I wholeheartedly encourage. Go get them champ! I'll be cheering you on behind this thick stone wall!"
Rating; 700 Exploded letters riddling my corpse out of a 1000 in the event of explosive failure.

'Ol' Orky'

"How curious it is to have someone sharing a third starry eye. Doubt he manually added another to manifest though. Should he do well for himself I might pay this 'respectable' sort a visit. Maybe to pick up a few things. Maybe just to jangle strange meanings before him."
Rating; 1 Out of 2 pretty boys reading in the library.

'The Funny Bone Man'

"Ho ho! A true brother in avoiding clashing builds and learning things the hard way! I suppose I'd be willing to help such a little human know things, and ascend as a lich. If he is willing to return the favour, in time."
Rating; 4 Femurs out of 5, would struggle through a night course with.

'The Hero of Juice'

"It is easy to disrupt with lawlessness and mischief. It is much harder to do the same with truth and justice. But it is possible. This one could be of great use in that regard. And of course he'll be able to blame my lovely self and keep his righteousness! What a perfect tale."
Rating; 1 Uttering of the Holy Truth;
'People die when they are killed.'

'The Funny Eyeball'

"Oh, I wonder how auntie Sophia is doing, but, I guess he wouldn't be able to tell me. As with all things of prophecy, I will allow him to achieve his ends. Of course, if he insists on being on the petulant side, or his works result in a more boring world? Well. Shame. I might need to spin a new chaotic thread..."
Rating; 4 Fried fish-sticks out of 8.

'Ditzy Snoozer'

"Transformation is a marvellous little thing. Like folly. Both are things people with an excess of pride fail to embrace. They change, and are full of folly, but they refuse to admit it. This one is on the right path. Though, could use a bit of help in their plan. A little push here and there, some roadblocks, and perhaps..."
Rating; 1 Exceedingly foolish plan, which has my full support.

'Young lady you don't have the ears for that name'

"Hm. I swear I've seen this individual before. Regardless in an age like this one, one who sets out to create new heroes is of great import. Even if just having an orphanmonger is good, a service I am tragically like to use at some point. On a more personal note, it is delightful to have someone else who devours languages."
Rating; 8 Satisfied orphans out of 10, I may borrow the other 2 for mischief.

'Aurum Arc the Golden Shart'

"Oh, he couldn't be the sort to go start a farm, he has to be a trader. Of course. Well, seeing as he is rather squishy and just a tad aware of things, he could be of use. It all depends on who your god little man? The God of a Stolen Throne? Or the Holy Ledger?"
Rating; 300 Ecu-Dol out of 2000 stolen by Gnomes

'Pronouns; Qarg / Qarth'

"There is weakness in the society the Thief has built. For all its advances it suffers from the fundimental faults of all empires. Frontiers laden with soldiers, and a heartland shockingly vulnerable from domestication. So long as the Empire keeps expanding, keeps the borders and walls and seas safe, it can endure. But what happens when the Barbarians breach the gate? Oh, you should all know that!"
Rating; 7 Frazetta Babes out of 10

'You thought New New York was bad...'

"As a strange sort with strange ambitions, I feel a sort of kinship. As a Troll, I am obliged to ruin his day and toss boulders at any shrines he builds. Regardless his faith is just another thing that can be... Utilized, perhaps? He seeks to create something in the middle spaces, but he fails to account for the powers that already exist here."
Rating; 1 God (Allegedly, we'll see)

'Short King Krinkles'

"The history of the Dwarves is something between comedy and tragedy, while the Underground is completely the latter. How might we best the Nightmare? How might we contain the horrors of the deep? There are two options; Capture or Transformation. How far would you go, little Dwarf, to reclaim your lands? What bargain would you tolerate? No matter the decision, I think I can profit."
Rating; 1 Distressing amount of Violence

'The Pizza Cutter'

"All those edges and little point. Oh, certainly, one can find reasons to hate the small monsters. Certainly many of his prefered targets have it coming. But it so weighs down the story if things are wiped out wholesale! But for the moment his zeal has use. Those winged Emps have had it too good for too long. With a little push he might be of use for the cause."
Rating; 1 Comically oversized Scythe out of 2

'The Would-Be King'

"It takes some incredible presumptuousness to believe in heroics and good Monarchs. Oh, it is absolutely necessary, especially in a place and time where that belief can have drastic consequences. If he is willing to make the attempt to jump the position and secure the Dorians, well, who am I to stop him? Besides, every Arthurian fool ends up being helped by the spawn of the Devil. I may not be Merlin. Or Mer, but if I had to spin him a few spell? There are worse things."
Rating; 5 or so Crowns, to be united and divided.

'The Boner Monarch'

"Oh ho! Another person willing to play the villain. Too much so, for my liking anyways. One must be willing to be both a terror and a saviour in equal measure. Still, if he is willing to be earnest he could have a friend in me. Depending on how good a sport he is we could set up some grand 'betrayals' even."
Rating; 1 Splendid Good Century out of however many he can hold onto.

The Box Kids

"Imagine, being called to action to live again, or to take arms against ancient orders, or new tyrants, or to simply be. And going to spend time in a cube. I can understand it in a way. But I cannot condone it. We have work to be done and while it is possible to dreamstride the distance I should only be doing that for the trapped divine."
Rating; However many people jump into the God of Drama's 'playhouse' out of Enough for a D-.

Questions for the Tide!

Would you accept help from a hideous Troll?
Would you be willing to drink in the company of a hideous Troll?
Would you be the sort of person to wake up with a hangover on the floor of a hideous Troll? (If alive, undead need not apply.)
